    Some studies have found that cumin seeds can help regulate fasting blood sugar levels in people with Type 2 diabetes. This may be due to the presence of certain compounds in cumin seeds, such as cumin aldehyde, which have been shown to have anti-diabetic effects. The blood glucose lowering potential of cumin is also attributed to the presence of thymoquinone, an active chemical component that protects the B-cells of the pancreas from oxidative stress.

      Sounds great Dr. Mandell. The only issue for me is that it will give me heartburn. I can not eat anything at all 30 minutes prior to bed. In fact, I have to wait for at least 3 full hours after I have eaten anything to finally be able to go to bed without getting heartburn.

    I am a type 2 diabetic..... With neuropathy in my feet, and a host of other illnesses....including not sleeping more than 4-5 hours a night.
    Today is January 10, 2023 and last night after watching this I decided to try it, even though I had old non organic cumin in my pantry.
    I mashed up one of my husband's bananas (I don't eat bananas) with the cumin and did not go to bed until 11:15 (1.5 hrs after eating it,).
    I must have drifted off quickly and then woke up to pee at 3:25am.... Went back to bed and propped up the pillows on an incline and again did not wake until 7:45 am.
    I cannot remember ever sleeping 8 hours ... In the last 10 years.....ever.

    I take care of my husband who is 76 years old and has dementia, so sometimes my nights are days and vice versa.
    I started mixing the banana 🍌 with Cummings and I have the best resting nights ever 🙏🏼🙏🏼🙏🏼 so far two nights in a row.

    I tried that. Waked up with a lot of energy. Didn't need my coffee. Didn't have leg cramps. The taste is strange in the beginning, but worth it!

      I'm going to try it because I have been getting leg cramps more often lately...I drink more water, don't eat salt or salty food, I use sea salt..and not a lot of that either, I stretch my legs....and I still wake up with cramps sometimes, I hope and pray this helps!!! 🙏🙏🙏

      Wow wow. So it really works? I am at the verge of having a Stroke and a Heart attack from lack of sleep. One monday i was cursed with sleep Dissorder and i have tried everything. As soon as i saw this, i ran to my local supermarket and bought organic ground cumin and organic bananas. I pray to God this works. I will cry profusely if i wake up at 6am instead of 2 and 3am. My brain and heart are at the virge of exploding from lack of sleep

      ​@@tonyanthonyironman4352I am praying for you. No sleep truly does feel that scary. I just had a baby and in the early days I felt the same way you describe. I was previously healed of lifelong insomnia by Jesus through prayer and in faith before I had my firstborn in 2015. I have never had trouble falling asleep since (sleepless recently due to night wakings to nurse haha but falling back asleep is still fully healed) Christ did what he did not only to save us and bring us to heaven with Him but also so we can have healing in this life right now. So, I am praying for you to know Jesus, have sustained sleep and full healing and I do hope the remedy helps because all these natural things were designed to help our bodies by God. I never do this because it can be so weird haha but God highlighted your comment to me to let you know that someone is praying for you.

    I have for the first time in more than 10 years been able to sleep 7 hrs at night. I usually sleep 3 to 4 hrs only. But after listening to you message I did as you advised ( ie eat a banana mixed with cumin.)
    40 minutes before bed time. The results were so astonishing. I had my good 7 hrs of sleep without waking up. I was surprised. Thank you so much Dr .

    I’m a type 1 diabetic and whenever I eat cinnamon my blood sugar drops as if I just gave myself insulin! So glad a doctor is speaking out about amazing healthy ways to receive restful sleep!

      @@HaroldZwingley it lowers blood presssure and when blood pressure is lowered so is blood sugar. Though it’s not a replacement for insulin. And type 1 is auto immune. I’ve had to be careful Bc it can drop it and then I can have a hard time getting it back up. More studies are needed on how it works.

    I do the banana and cinnamon for a peaceful sleep that Dr Mandell recommended. In fact, every night before bed my granddaughter goes into the kitchen and makes this for us. When we wake up, she’s like, “I had the best sleep ever!” And for the next 30 minutes I have to hear about Dr Mandell with this BRILLIANT Idea. lol
    She’s only 9 and tells the family, ALL her friends and teachers to follow Dr Mandell because he’s the GREATEST Dr ever. lol.

    I’ve been eating the smashed garlic clove daily for a couple of months after watching your video. Saw my cardiologist for my annual checkup. EKG was perfect and my BP was 122/85. Way lower than it normally measures which is 140/93 or so. Thank you for these videos.

    I tried this the other night and he is not lying. I fell into the deepest sleep I've had in a very long time. So much so, I overslept and was late for work. For me, the taste is something to get used to. I like cumin and love bananas, but together is something different. I'll keep doing this though because it works and I'm all for anything natural.

      @@sharonellitson4231 I totally understand. For me, it was about not going another night getting maybe 2 hours of sleep and having to do a full 8 hour work day. After the first try and it worked, I told myself it doesn't matter what it tastes like, that's the best sleep I've had since I don't know when. It's worth it if you're having trouble sleeping.

    WOW. I tried this and I slept well but my heart usually pounds during the night and when I wake up. I was so at peace when I woke up in the morning and for the first time in almost four years my heart wasn't pounding and I felt like I could lay there forever. I was almost groggy like I had taken a sleeping pill. It was amazing how peaceful my mind was!!

      You might have what I have. Supra Venticular Tachycardia. It's a rapid heart rate set off by misfiring of the electrical current. Our heart is All electric. Do not eat junk food, candy, sodas or lots of salt is horrible for the heart❤❤

    Tonight is night 3 with this concoction. I'm a terrible skeptic. Night 1, this stuff knocked me out and I slept deeper then I have in years it seemed. I woke up with feeling well rested and alert. I was still skeptical this was the trick. Night 2, same result. Tonight is night 3, so far this stuff proves to work. It's pretty miraculous unless there is another reason but I haven't changed anything else. Thank you Doc, im gonna stay on this.

      Wow wow i am really exited to try this. Havent had a good nite sleep in weeks and it starting to affect my brain and heart. I flew to the store and scored the bananas and the Organic Ground Cuming. The Organic ground Cuming does says it helps with insomnia. Dear God i will cry profusely if i wake up at least at 5am or even at 6am rather than 2 and 3am.

    When I was a kid growing up in India- we used to drink cumin water instead of plain cold water through out the day. Our ancestors knew more about living life and taking care of them organically

    The Doc is awesome.
    I'm still using the banana cinnamon combination as a sleep aid, and it still works for me. I will give this a try. Since fellowing you Dr. Mandel I have been maintaining a healthy weight, low blood sugar levels, and healthy blood pressure, along with exercising which is very important. Someone mentioned in the comments, some things work for others and some things may not. But so far so good with me. God bless you and thank you for all you do.

    I make smoothies and put banana, Tumeric, avacodo, celery, 1 tbs of 100% pumpkin, collagen, a half cup of kefir, water & ice. I'm having stomach problems, and this seems to help.

      If you're talking indegestion/ heartburn- which I get, on occasion if I overindulge- I put a half teaspoon of baking soda in a big glass of water.
      It works fast.
      Also not having large meal in the evening helps greatly.

    TYVM Dr. As an athlete i sometimes have trouble getting to sleep because my metabolism or brain is racing. A bodybuilder friend said to eat a handful of fruit like strawberry or grapes or .25 apple and it gives me like a food coma affect but not affect any ketosis. It absolutely does the trick.
    Your tip here seems remarkably similar and the cumin is an added benefit

    Thank you doctor for such a wonderful and easy treatment for the sound sleep... I always struggle to get deep sleep ...wake up many a times in the night...am gonna do this.

    I did this last night and slept deep. No tossing turning or every little noise waking me up. Going to try again tonight to see if it repeats. Great sleep wow!

      Have loved Cumin in my food lots . No problems sleeping except when moon is full. Already love bananas. Definitely doing this next full moon !!

    This is really amazing! I tried this last night, and for the first time in years my deep sleep was more than 1 hour. Before it was between a few minutes to about 20 minutes.😊 I have me/cfs so sleep is very important. I hope this will help my body to heal far enough so I can get more active without getting sick. Guess what I will eat 30 min before bed tonight. Thank you for this amazing and hopefully life changing tip. Greetings Constance (the Netherlands)

    Dr. Mandell, Thank You so very much for your advice ❤ My husband has T2D and he not only struggles with sleep, but he has a terrible time with his diabetes yo yoing his A1C.
    I'm at wits end trying to help him fight this without him starving himself to death to please his doctor 😢 Gonna definitely try this for him!! Dr. Mandell, you're HEAVEN SENT just at the moment I needed an Angel 😇 We're childhood sweethearts and been married 33 years now, extremely happily, and I couldn't bear to have to lose him to diabetes 😢
    Fingers, eyes and toes crossed that THIS WILL BE a game changer❤

      Beyond diurnal insulin levels being the lowest at night, current research also indicates that insulin resistance naturally increases in the evening due to a greater amount of serum free fatty acids. So eating a carb-laden food like a banana at say 10pm would be met with an insulin spike at a time when it has leveled off to its daily low! So no game-changer here at all.

      Going keto is the best solution. No carbs, no sugar, no fruits except for berries. Try for a week or 2 and see his improvement.

    I like Dr Mandal's advise.
    After my Covid in 2020 my sugar was 23 and I have seen his advise of unfiltered appel vinegar.
    My sugar came down to 5 after 3 weeks, but I have used it until the apple vinegar was finished.
    My sugar level stay between 5 and 7.
    Eating from time to time my cake or chocolates.
    I am eating an appel after dinner and nearly every evening a banana before I went to sleeping and understand now why I fell asleep yhe moment my head touched the pillow. Will remember cumin with banana in the future.
