I have the Lenovo Yoga Slim 7X and after initial boot and Windows update I thought I eas good to go. But it was slow and sometimes unresponsive. However it turned out that Windows was not complete updating. After that completed it works like a dream, responsive, silent.

How’s the trackpad and the speakers? So silent and pretty cool temps? How’s the battery life?

Great video! however I must point out this, you should let them update first before downloading and running benchmarks.
Lenovo got stuck, and many others scores may have been affected as they were updating in background.
Kindly take this in consideration for future videos.

@@chuckg6039that's unfair. The man is going a preview video live to share his setup experience. The complete reviews come after. No-one expects you to watch all of it! I've never found AMD to hype anything and he's always given honest transparent reviews.

Hey Andrew, are you getting the XPS 13 to try out? Same 80-100 CPU, but I'm curious if the super slim design has any effect on thermals. Looks nice, though!
I'm very fond of the new "peel" opening tabs on the boxes. Makes it much harder for retailers to resell an open box as brand-new.
Hi! I'm hoping you've been able to spend a little time with the new Surface Pro.
Given that I love that my current passively cooled Robo & Kala 2-in-1, but I'm willing to accept fan noise when running intense work (but not for casual computing), should I upgrade to the new Surface Pro? 🤓
58:21 "Surface Connect" is proprietary and serves no purpose other than allowing Microsoft's selling down their existing supply of surface connect power bricks. An additional USB port would have been far more welcome.

I think I am somewhat critical to this form of testing. You have a lot of things going, you seem to start testing before the computers are finished updating (Lenovo), you do testing with and without power but get the wrong conclusion (Lenove scores the same in Geekbench 6 with and without power probably due to the wrong power setting). I hope you do a correct test of each computer in the near future.
I would agree. Seems the reviewer would know from his computer experience to let the computers settle and not do things in what seems to be a very haphazard way.
Interested to see the Dell XPS. But so far looks like Surface Laptop or Pro is the way to go.

Why all computer companies don't mention the snapdragon X model number (64, 78, 80, 84), it is very significant
I think we need to wait a month for further updates to see what this thing is really capable of but they left it very late and still launch day were not ready properly, and hyped it up more than it could possibly deliver.

Snapdragon laptops by Lenovo and HP might only support 2240 m.2 SSDs? Not 2280? ASUS and XPS support 2280. Are 2240 drives limited to 2TB?

I suggest you develop a table with these benchmarks (with and without power plugged in) including processor number (i.e. 64, 78, 80, 84)

Can these Copilot PCs have real time guidance conversation with you if you play minecraft or other games?
I saw it somewhere that they can, but dont trust them just yet because i was about to just order the book 4 edge but decided to wait few more days and see how it performs, and just because of the AI integration
The Samsung display and it’s lack of reflections is pretty impressive compared to the rest in the video
They remind me of new Windows 95 installs

Can it run linux?
You should be able to run any arm64 build distro for wsl2, which works quite successfully on existing WoA machines. These are not the first laptops on this architecture :)
I have old fujitsu T935 2015, laptop have smart touchpad,better in nowadays laptops. you can regulate in touch area ,multi finger gestures,scroling regions,,pointing,smartsense zone of any size,tapping,clicking. smart battery ,have full circle count,charging control how much to charge. WIN update support 11years,support ends 2025 10
It is noteworthy that the Microsoft device lacks branding stickers, unlike the Samsung device. This suggests that Microsoft has a strong sense of ownership over the "Surface Experience" and does not feel the need to share it, similar to Apple's approach.
Samsung using a kioxa drive on they're laptops when they make some of the best drives available....

probs this January with m4 being released in most macbooks. should drive the m3 prices down and then so should these windows pcs but tbh windows will probably always be more expensive for worse performance which is unfortunate
@bruh-qi7ue some of these laptops are literally less expensive than a base m3 air and are more powerful
@@hellishsavitar7522 yeah uhh on the spec sheet yes. Everything else no. Do editing with both, the m3 air will destroy them in battery life and timeline performance when doing so. I don't just want to browse the web and watch movies on a 1k machine, thanks.

@@hellishsavitar7522 saw just Josh's livestream. Seems like a total mess at these stages. It seems like a good new piece of hardware but the software is still in the works and the chips performance will probably be replaced by the upcoming amd and intel chips

No. Actually most seem to have a higher TDP of about 40 and above compare to 20 of Apple m3

No vents in Surface laptop 7 that I have with me. Used it for 6-7 hours yesterday, never heard the fan.
@@thakursachin Someone said there are vents on the back, can you confirm this is true? Also do you have a 13 or 15inch and is it comfortable when laying down on your legs?

The ASUS is probably the one I would go with...16:9 better for content consumption and a big battery.
What's this shit with 39watt charging?! My Samsung tablet charges at 45watts.
Windows OOTB experience is just a nightmare no matter what hardware architecture you throw at it. Microsoft just doesn't know what good user experience is...especially when it's fresh unboxing.
...and bundle that experience with how raw the AArch ecosystem is at the moment...well, one really is asking for trouble.

Do all of them have the same AI integration capabilities? Lenovo says it’s more for creatives while Microsoft is more for productivity. But shouldn’t they all have the same Copilot integration into the OS and Microsoft app suite? I’m an analyst who uses W365 apps which one is best for me?
