    I just got the Behringer and it sounds great. No need to buy overpriced gear just for the brand name. There’s some good and cheap alternatives out there that does the same job just as good if not better.

    "the mxr also works as a boost" all I needed to know, sold my last phaser because of that

    At maximum rate the Behringer sounds like a ring modulator, cool :-)

    Straight off the bat, the MXR has an unacceptable change in volume, in this case high. If I wanted overdrive I'd buy an OD pedal. I owned the late model Phase 90, sold it within days.Purchased the EVH version, and that was equally horrible, just looked cooler. Sold that over-priced POS and went to the HomeBrew Electronics Psilocybe, much better but a little too 'back-ground' in effect. Now selling that and going to a ...dare I say it, Behringer VP-1 !!! They sound so 70's Small Stone! (well, I think they do anyway, from the reviews, lol!). Chiz.

      superspit i agree 100% i think with mixing you could get the sound of the MXR sounding good and less crunchy, but you shouldn’t have to. recording is hard as it is, and you should be able to easily use any pedal in a live situation that will not mess up your sound in the mix.

    Sold my mxr because i found annoying the boost effect. I had already one of this vp1, very happy with it, no suck on volumes, doesnt change sound just add the effect and love the choices. Move it in the pedal board at your preference, can work differently pre /post overdrive and other pedals too

    Sweet, both are similar. Amazon and Sweet water has the behringer for $24.

    I've never been the biggest fan of phasers but I thought I'd buy the Behringer Vintage Phaser just to experiment with phasing a bit, if it was no good I'd not have lost much at that price. I have to say I was pleasantly surprised. The construction for a cheap pedal is really good and the sounds are really useable. Okay, the wah function takes a bit of getting used to but with that switched off the phaser function can be set to some lovely subtle tones that don't overwhelm your guitar sound. If you want to add a bit of texture to your playing I can thoroughly recommend this pedal.

    The Behringer reminds me of the 74 Script MXR Phase 90... seriously.

    I prefer the Behringer.
    I think the DOD phase 201 has the best tone of the straight ahead phase shifters

    The best is the old red and black and silver small stone, before the brown and orange one. It sounds like this Behringer vintage, and so I am going to buy the Behringer vintage. The MXR sounds muddy and weak and washed out, and no good coloring. The Behringer has a ton of color like the old red and black and silver SmallStones.

      that was the reason I bought the waves Rhodes plugin^^ they have a no quarter preset that would have taken me months to set up.

      Get a buffer if it bothers you. This is an excellent pedal for the money, which you can easily get back by reselling it.

    • @luluthu728
      @luluthu728 3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@Sainte305 where should I place it? At the first or before the phaser?

    • @Sainte305
      @Sainte305 3 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@luluthu728 Your buffer should be first in your signal chain, but experiment around with it. That’s the beauty of pedals to me, you never know what kinds of tones you’ll find shuffling pedal order. You might find a new weird psychedelic tone that you like. Traditionally speaking though, they come first.
