Santana played in my high school gym about 4 months before his Woodstock appearance that launched them to National recognition. This album was recorded a few months after Woodstock. Simply groundbreaking, amazing, iconic... how do you describe this album!?
To see this lineup of Santana Play Live back then was an experience that one could never forget... they were originally kind of a jam band but super high energy. It's awesome that they retained a little bit of that spontaneity and energy on their recordings

Back in the day, "I'm 65", we would put the album on the turntable with great care. And checked out the album cover along with getting into the music. ABRAXAS I had it on 8-Track, Vinyl, cassette, CD. And now I listen to it on-line. This is by far my favorite album cover.
I was born in ‘85 and I know Santana’s music because of my mom who was born in ‘54. She played a lot of hippie rock I like to call it as I was growing up. Fleetwood Mac, Tom Petty, and Janis Joplin were her other favorites. She passed away almost two years ago from heart failure and diabetes but I will forever be grateful for the music she shared. I am going to see Santana tonight in my city Milwaukee. 😊❤

Impossível ficar parada ouvindo essa música espetacular. Beijos pra VC Santana ❤
I grew up in a Cuban neighborhood in Miami and this music coming from cars late at night on the Blvd...on those hot summer nights...
Great memories....1971, 72....I was 16 years old...✌️
I love Santana❤❤
Those were the best tomes and great music you have excellent taste (as do I )😂🤩❤️❤️❤️
Thank you, Peter Green.
The guitar solo at 3:41 never fails to get me hype
So 🎸🎸🎸
👍👍👍👍👍👍👍
In my high school days, I was crazy about this and other Santana songs. 49 years later, I am still crazy about them and enjoying them to the fullest
Listening to it now, I see why so many think analog vinyl was so much better sounding then today digital sound in my humble opinion! See in today's world all you have to do is think of yourself as a expect to become one!
It must have been awesome growing up in that time!
im in middle and nobody gets me about that these days
It means that you did celebrate your existence ❤
So do i , when i was 15 YO i think , in my country Indonesia
Found a jukebox in Mombasa Kenya Africa..the girls really liked this song..just a young Marine on liberty...yours very truly Alfonso Cantu USMC
Wow mijo just to show u Santa Ana all over with pride Chicano pride bobby jr 😊😊😊😊😊😊😊
I’m that black magic woman! Cast those spells. It is a beautiful thing.❤️
Siempre es y sera en escencia y corazon uno de mis grandes maestros...le saluda un trabajador mas en Leamengton oriundo de Guanajuato....🙏@carlossantana3025
Nice
Absolutely you are !!! Beautiful woman !
The conga’s, bongo’s, drum kit, guitar, bass & smooth vocals are all meshed together to create a jamming samba sauce, sounds so good . . . 🎉
Hello dear, how’re you doing today?
it’s nice meeting you on here.
Who couldn't love such beautiful Latin music like this😀👍 I love Carlos, and I still listen to this music. It brings me back to my youth.
This needs to be played in every club in the U.S.
(153) "Viva La Santana"
Santana is on a summer vacation
To Montana to the train station
On to Atlanta across the nation
To Savana for flight information
Then Havana to see the situation
Santana was the first international band I ever saw in 1983 at the age of 17 , Best memories ever. We are playing this song at the club on the weekend , I cant wait! Our guitarist does a pretty good job of it , Paying homage to the best !
To me Carlos Santana is the best guitar player I love the way he play that guitar the guitar talks when he play it I’ll been listen and watching Santana since 1969 the good old days Santana god bless you my brother
From the first time I heard this song so long ago, I felt the music, the words were otherworldly and I believed then and I still do, in a Black Magic Woman. She's got me heart and soul
then we are two. Do you know the history of Rarotonga? look for it!
But this song is a cover. The original is by Fleetwood Mac.
Happy birthday Carlos Santana!! May it be the best birthday yet!
I didn't know it was his birthday. He's a legend.
Are you ready for this? I'm 81 years old and this song still gives chills. So many memories! ❤❤❤

Hello dear, how’re you doing today?

I love the percussion in this song as well as the guitar work. Nothing can replace the sound of timbales.
Two very good combinations of two Latin Americans. The percussionist's name was chepito Areas born in Nicaragua, in the city of Leon, Nicaraguan pride and the great Carlos Santana mexican pride.
@@hectorflores9768 there wasn’t one name of a percussionist. As a percussionist myself, there’s at least 3 of them needed to play this song.

I used to love it when my mother would play this record and I would just stare at the art for hours. Amazing, one of my top songs of top songs..
That album cover is just as good as the music
Oh man just staring at it listening to album back to front being 12 and like WTF.

It's been a while since I've seen you around youtube. How's it going?
Justin Bieber has come qwith an axe
Love the drills rest in peace mama
Ahem. Steely Dan? I wanna put money she had Aja or Gaucho.
Your mom had the best taste in music! Lucky you! ❤
Santana is just a legend.
