My all time favourite track from Santana in 1972 when I met my best friend and wife of over fifty years. Five years ago the same track was posted to me by my brother in Sydney. His message "Hey brother here's an oldie but hey it's still a blast" . That was the last time I heard from him. A week later I was standing next to his bed in ICU. He was in a coma! But no matter, I played it to him knowing that hearing is the last thing to go. At least he knew that I was there for him and that I loved him. I play this more often now reminding me of my wife and I when young, and as I remember my brother the tears come once again. Rest well brother, and because of Christ Jesus on the cross reconcilling ALL to God, we will meet again.❤

A morire prima o poi tocca a tutti.

I'm a believer. I love the Lord my God and I love all the beauty He has created and inspired, no matter what form it takes. In the realm of music, I have never felt more alive than when I'm listening to Carlos Santana. I hear his beautiful music, I feel the the passion, the emotions so clear and pure, but most of all the love pouring out of him, and by extension, his guitar. and it's as if God is speaking to me, to all of us through him, through his guitar. I have always loved and been touched by music, of many genres. I played classical piano for many years myself, so I appreciate and respect the musicians, the vocalists, the discipline and all that goes into making it happen. In my opinion, Mr Santana is on a whole nother level above anything else I've ever heard. He is special, he is one of the chosen, he is gifted and blessed! I was blessed enough to see him once at the Masonic Temple, Detroit Michigan. I can't remember the exact year but it was in the late 70s early 80s, I went to that concert with my brother his girlfriend my younger sister and a bunch of all of our friends we took up a whole roll in the top row of the second from the top tier, and I'll never forget because we were all standing up dancing and having a blast! The people behind us started yelling sit down, sit down! We told them no, stand up! Stand up! Then turned around to face the music again and I couldn't believe it, Santana had the spotlight up on our row, and he was pointing right at us! It was an awesome moment, one of the best memories I have from that time in my life! Santana has always been my number one, all time favorite and always will be! What I wouldn't give to be able to see Santana one more time, what a blessing that would be! Thank you Mr Santana for that wonderful memory, and for all the years you've blessed us with your most excellent, unique and beautiful music! I will keep you in my prayers always, sending much love and many blessings your way! 😇XO🙏XO✝️XO💖
The first few notes...you KNOW it's Carlos...another iconic song & another great one from the 70s=80s...Latin Rock? One could call it that...how about his own genre, Like many others who created a sound like NO other human can...Love some of THAT SANTANA...

You think?! I have been listening to SANTANA since High School (70's)... The days of LPs and the days we used to have group posters (from the LP's inserts) in our college dorm rooms...All of his LP Album Covers had only one name in BIG bold: SANTANA...Back then a lot of folks used to think He was Puerto Rican. When you walked in "Spanish Harlem" back in the day? SANTANA and Hector Lavoe was all you used to hear...
I’m 66, my sister and I would play along with miracas and tambourines when we were kids! Loved them for over 50 years! There was a band that sounded just like them in Rosarita Beach hotel we went to on vacation when I was 11 and got to dance to them all night…so much fun!
Carlos is the greatest of all time. There are many talented guitarists who can play the instrument, but nobody can make the guitar sing from the heart like he can. And a wonderful, warm person too. I had the pleasure of speaking with him when my son was shooting a music video of him in Vegas in 2014. Carlos came over and introduced himself to me, and told me that we all have the capacity to commit seven miracles every day. The world would be a much better place if there were more people with his heart and soul.
i have heard this a thousand times and every time it feels like i have just discovered it. the sheer exhilaration is addictive. this is one of the best pieces of music ever. just listen.
I going to see him live for the first time Aug 18 Austin Tx. I am 67 and this is a life long dream. Thanks Edward for getting the tickets. Love you babe.
What a master. The melodies are always soooooo smooth. The song leads to a crescendo unlike no other, then leads us back to the smooth melody. He's like ni other. Been listening for years. God is good. Im 68

I consider myself a good Guitar Player; I can play many much more difficult themes, but this song... But when I play this song (alone in my room or at parties), always makes me cry. as simple as it sounds, took me years to actually understand how BEAUTIFUL and well written it is, the phrasings, melody, harmony, motives.... such a Masterpiece.
congratulations on wanting to play like Santana...he's the best for finding emotions you didn't know you had...Europa written by him and done by Gato...OMG! one of my favorites of all time...
Back when I was in my twenties..anytime I was feeling down..I would put the headphones on and listen to this song...it washed my blues away..and still does to this day..THX Carlos..fell in love with your music when Woodstock came out..
What a beautiful version of his classic song, Samba Pa Ti. Santana has never sounded better; and he always sounds great. Bravissimo! Thank you for posting.
You bring my beautiful wife back to me in your music since she passed away in 2012 from cancer. Thank you Sir for making me smile again. Most love and respect always too you
That is what it does, its like a road for beautiful memory's. Time when u stop and think of what was lovely for you and miss. Twice I have looked at pictures when this song begun. (I never look at theme because how they make feel). The sorrow become joyful, understanding. The bitter sweet, but more sweet.
it's great to hear a guitarist who doesn't let his heart get ahead of his fingers, or sounds like he's getting paid by the note.....viva Santana!!.......a fan since the 70s.....
When I was a young girl my best friend introduced me to Santana...so grateful to have their music in my life. This version of Samba Pa Ti is simply stunning!
Hands down the most accomplished rock instrumental love ballad of all time. Here Carlos recaptures the spirit and sound of his musical beginnings with the original members of the band.
Carlos and his band were the “epitome” of deep enchantment… strange love… and a fiery spirit that led you down to your next phase in life. A true treasure to always be remembered!,,,😊
Saw him in concert in Richmond, VA a few months ago....he and they were wonderful!!!! I grew up with him and can never get tired of his wonderful guitar!!! I'm 68 and his guitar is still the series I have ever heard!!!

I first heard this song when I was in high school. It was the most incredibly powerful song I had ever heard. In all my life, I have never been without this song and I'm now 66.
I was 11 and sent away for 10 8track tapes for a penny. When I got them, I heard Caravansary for the first time and feel in love with blues, Santana, and MUSIC. I LOVE HOW NO WORDS say so much!!! 💜🌹👍
Greatest make-out song of all time. Takes me back to high school when it first came out (guess I'm aging myself) But you had to look for that special girl to dance real close. God those days were so special.
Carlos is “The Master”of his craft. Samba Pa Ti and Europa takes me to a place that I can reach by no other means. It’s the vibe, the spirit within the spirit that was conceived from this man’s gift from God
He blew that out of the water to a perfection better than ever. How lucky I am that God has made this man in my time cause this will never ever happen again
I wouldn't say it's his best version live, but nothing compares to the first time I heard it when it come out on lp back in the day listening to it on my technics quadraphonic stereo. I love this man's music and for what he always stood for, botherhood!
The thing is we could debate who is the greatest guitarist of all time, Carlos, Clapton, bbking. But nobody feels his music like carlos , we feel every note he plays, wow, one of the best ever.
Driving through southern France on holiday in 1983 there was suddenly music in the air from a concert playing at a nearby small stadium. After half a riff I knew it was Santana - such an iconic sound! There are very few guitarists in history you can identify like that. Simply amazing.

😇XO🙏XO✝️XO💖

❤
Absolutely hands down he should have been first !! Such an amazing talented man!! My mom used to put me to sleep with Santana every night

And a wonderful, warm person too. I had the pleasure of speaking with him when my son was shooting a music video of him in Vegas in 2014. Carlos came over and introduced himself to me, and told me that we all have the capacity to commit seven miracles every day.
