How many times did you make a stop to charge in 1000km?
If you had to choose between EQB300 4Matic Luxury single motor or EV6 gtline rwd or ID5, to use with 2 adultes and 2 low ages kids and make 25000 Kms per year, wich one you'd choose? I really don't know. I'm afraid of low range of EQB, but love the interior. EV6 loved the exterior and the range. EV5 like the SUV spoty style. I live in Belgium so a lot of cold temperature.

Me and my old man tested the Ford Mustang Mach-E Premium AWD recently and while he liked it, thinks he will like the EQB 350 4matic more. I know they're not direct rivals, but Bjorn having driven both cars, how would you say they compare?

Getting mine in Middle of May. Can't wait :) i know the positivs and the negativs of the car. But for my family and in the city this car is perect. Especielly since I have charger right outside door in the garage and I have charger poles at work. So for comfort and space i took the 5 seater for me the wife and 2 kids. It's a perfect first electric car with leasing. I wouldent buy it though since the second generation is gonna be ALOT better. U just have to know what u are getting and what u are paying for it. This car costs me 100 dollars more in total a month then my 2012 hyundai i40 to own in sweden. So u chose. U want a old diesel car with problems or a new benz from factory and SUV. No brainer for me.
And of course it's cause of all the benefits from tje government normal Middle class people can afford them.

I really like the practicality of this car however am bit concerned about the range.

Definitely not.
Bjorn, I'm sure you mentioned that this car was over reporting and you would have to calculate for the extra distance of 1005 or 1010 Km to finish.
Usally he doesn’t care when it’s below 1% error.
It is only 1 minute difference
Can someone tell me: When he says "cold gate" what does he mean
We bought the GLB with a diesel engine in 2021, we love that car. I would change it for the EQB but the price is almost double
I’m Sweden it’s about the same cost if you buy it on a lease plan.
Because of some environment discounts.
So it’s easy choice here if you can handle the range and charging.
(Because you have almost free fuel with the electric one)

Anyway, nice car. Good charging but a bit juicy… I’d like to see the 2wd EQB, 300 is it? See how that does. Just wish the 3rd row was a bit more spacious, and maybe the car was a little rangier, and it’d be on my 7-seater shopping list. Close, Mercedes, pretty close!
FWD version is the EQB 250. EQB 300 is also 4WD, but has less max torque and motor output.

There is a vehicle that is 7 seats and much cheaper that you have never reviewed. Vauxhall (Opel). Combo-e 7 seat XL. No one is reviewing these very practical mini vans. Must be so much more efficient and spacious and cheaper than SUV.

@@bjornnyland yes. Same drivetrain as Corsa-e and e208. Even has CCD charging at 100kw. Can't find any TH-cam reviews for them though.

Too bad we're pretty locked in to the way a car is supposed to look, but I wonder if anyone will try to design it backwards for efficiency?

@Angus McGarvie - The Aptera is an amazing car... So radical. Like a plane... I think the Cw was 0.13 or something. Jay Leno's garage.
Now 2024 is 7 months away, EQB average charging speed seems to be 98kw after 33 minutes of charging, but nowadays 98 kw is slow,150 kw charging like e-tron should be new normal. Chinese cars are coming with 480 kw charging speed, 98 kw is not acceptable 2024 models, or Chinese cars will win.

Have you heard abaout familys with kids?
@@Jonathan-un4yy all families I know have 1 or 2 kids. A sedan is more than adequate for such families. If this is the reason, the proportion of SUVs to sedans is unjustified.
