At 6:33 the tire on the ground didn't pull the vehicle off the rollers. The vehicle actually shifted sideways on the rollers and the rear driver's side tire caught the steel frame of the roller and gained traction.
Guys-- i LOVE the picture in a picture...very helpful to figure out what's really going on here. Goes to show not all traction control is the same. I have my own TFL articulation test near my home, and EVERY car I test drive has to try it-- a Rav4 Prime i tested the other day was a complete fail after losing traction on just the front right, whereas my wife's 6 year old BMW x1 with bald eagle GTs almost made it the whole way .... this is why testing is important. Thanks guys...
I'm just sittin' here watchin' the wheels go 'round and 'round. Great job guys! Always interesting to see how the different vehicles behave in this very difficult test.
can you do this test with the Rivian R1T or R1S? curious how the quad motor setup handles this test. you'd think it'd be super capable with a motor at each wheel
Please do an idle test in extreme temps where a highway would be blocked and someone had to stay in there vehicle for an extended amount of time. Hummer EV vs. Ram Cummins 2500. Would ICE vehicle last longer than Hummer EV battery with climate controls at moderate temperatures.
TFL actually brought this up before. They said an ICE vehicle will consume about a gallon of fuel per hour of idle time while the EV can power the climate control system “for days”. I don’t remember which video it was, maybe someone can point you in the right direction.
Just crashed my eqb on 1cm snow. No grip? Couldn’t go round a corner. 10mph just went in a straight line into a bank. Worst car I’ve ever driven in snow.
Nonsense!!! They forgot nothing! The electric motor is significantly less powerful than the Tesla also Mercedes doesn’t use PM motors, which means no rare earth metals
@@phelandeluna5439 nonsense! Please stop the crap!! That awd system doesn’t suck and also why didn’t it got stock off-road!? Stfu!!!! And which rare metals are in those batteries!? Explain!

Possibly. A different camera angle would be good to make sure these tests are accurate.
Could we share the other angles?

Blaze should be put on payroll...pays really close attention to Tommy.. pretty soon he'll be doing reviews on cars!! He's an Awesome dog Tommy
Love the slip test and the real world dirt testing. Add snow testing when you have the chance.

Do you ever try a light manual application of brakes to get unstuck? Perhaps parking brake on vehicles where that is an option?

Love the videos!! Anyway we could see a GMC terrain do the torture test? Honestly I could watch every vehicle do this test 😂
Every vehicle, especially an electric one, needs a mechanical differential. With my Tesla it is very noticeable that the wheels are not locked.
EQB winter test please!!! 👏👍
Do the roller test on a slope! Don't let the model 3 crash scare you. That was almost 4 years ago!
Little disappointed in the 3 wheel slip test where the right rear should have easily had the ability to move it. Otherwise, it is a good system.
I want to see the quad motor rivian try this test
Would be cool to try the lightning and the other electric truck. Rivian
Merry Christmas guys

Good illustration
thanks a lot for that test, im still not able to buy such an extensive car, but but i will keep dreaming 😅
Would love to see this test with a Q4 e-tron!
Turn the front tires if 3 are spinning
What is needed is quadra drive.
Everyone needs Quadradrive!
Very nice
Not worth the price......if awd does not perform good😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖😖

I thought EVs would handle this test with ease. But apparently not.
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVE ✌️ HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY EVERYONE....ITS...HIGH KICK TOMMY 😁...
Shameless exploitation of your dog for views! lol
Who is going off roading in a Mercedes smh
That's very sad! All of those years spent with Jeep and Mercedes forgets how to make a real awd system...lol

More cylinders the better
You mean like one or two brake cylinders at each wheel and a dual master cylinder? Could be 10 cylinders... 😂
Are EV BENZs just as crappy as their ICE counterparts? I wouldn't drive German junk to save my life
You are the only junk here mate! Or crappy I’ll say!
