so, adult link decides to play with one of his childhood toys, while child link is too preoccupied wondering how a hookshot even works to notice the world around him even if he's being hit, and both of them play with imaginary weapons.
One thing the GameCube port does better:
The game doesn’t crash when adult link uses a stick.
actually technically doing it worse, its caused by not completely to spec emulation. its usually what causes these console specific bug differences

@@Kaitri Don’t let it get to you too hard, I’m 26 and I still like to have fun. Being an adult doesn’t mean that we have to become stiff and boring, it just means we end up having a few extra responsibilities along the way.

Holy butts this has one MAJOR application for me because I forgot this glitch existed!
In the Master Quest version of the Spirit Temple, there's a rusted switch along Young Link's path that you have to hit as an adult but it spawns a chest in the area where YL can only access because you have to crawl through a hole to it. After spawning it as an adult you have to go back to the past to claim the key in the chest (because it TOTALLY makes sense that you can get something in the past after making it appear in the future).
Now I can just do this and get it without wasting my time!
Also, I'm glad we're getting some OoT glitches! I threw the suggest out on Twitter but then again I bet a TON of people suggested the same!
Using the hookshot as child locks Link's current speed, so if you press the button while he's moving he'll keep going. So if you want to mess around with it without having to softlock the game just make sure Link is heading toward a loading zone.

You can get deku sticks on B as adult link in the both the n64 and 3ds versions,nothing is more satisfying in my opinion than killing Ganondorf with a stick!

This glitch persists in the 3DS version too, and carries over to Majora's Mask 3D. Makes for some fun sequence breaks.

I once did this with bottle adventure rather than the frame perfect trick. Megaton hammer on B was fun to play with

The fact that this trick is frame perfect actually makes it more difficult than other equally frame perfect tricks in Ocarina of Time. I imagine most everyone already knows about pause buffering. It's fairly easy to advance one frame at a time by repeatedly pausing and using it to buffer inputs. But you obviously can't do that here. Another thing is the fact that "Frame perfect" on the pause screen is not the same as "Frame perfect" in game. Ocarina of Time runs at 3 different FPS rates depending on the context. The file select screen actually runs at 60 FPS. Regular gameplay only runs at 20 FPS and the pause menu runs at 30. So a frame perfect trick in game, like ISG is easier than a frame perfect trick on the pause menu like equip swap. I don't know of any frame perfect glitch that's on the the file select screen lol.
But of course, don't let that dissuade you from trying this trick if you're interested. There's a lot of factors that go into the difficulty of a trick and the frame window is only one. If you pay attention to the frame you're aiming at you'll get it in time.

A cool OoT glitch to cover would the Ocarina Items glitch. It’d be really complicated, but it’s still worth checking out.
Ocarina of Time is amazing in how broken yet playable it is. You can play it normally and likely neve encounter a glitch or utterly destroy it and bend the rules to your will to the point it looks like you are hacking the game.

Now I wonder if this works in the 3DS remake, considering how many OTHER glitches were kept.
I guess this carried over from Mario 64 - they were largely built off of the same engine!

hey andi mind telling me because im curious, did you have these glitches written down and now re-create them for glitch shorts or are you currently on a big "replaying old games" marathon?
Pretty much every single glitch I've covered on this channel is either something that I've never done and probably just tried the day that video went out, or was something from a game I've already covered but I didn't know about or was found way after I put the episode out :)

No, it doesn't, but you can get the same results using other glitches like Bottle Adventure or Inventory Overstuffing. Unfortunately those take longer to perform

@@j.hawkins8779 It's the placeholder item you get in the inventory when you sell a mask.
You're never supposed to equip it, but if you manage to do so (using other glitches) it acts like the Master Sword, and you can even use it inside houses where usually the sword is restricted.
