There's an easy way to trigger this glitch early on in the game. Like, really early, before you even have access to Bianco Hills. At that point, the boathouse and box game are both closed, but the boathouse warp is still there, and you can hit the corners of it just by walking around on certain parts of the roof. A decent setup is to ledgegrab either corner of the doorframe, double jump in place and hover onto the roof, but it might take a few tries. When you do take the warp, you'll find the inside of the boathouse isn't actually there, and Mario will just fall into invisible Delfino without having to do anything else! But of course, there's no way to hit the warp back so you'll have to reload the area to end the glitch. (Btw, if you do the glitch when the rooms are open, you can just enter the room you didn't use for the glitch, exit it, and everything is back to normal)

And here I thought I found something new in this 20 year old game. Figured probably not, but your comment is the first mention of this setup for the invisible delfino plaza glitch. You can also get it with a well angled back flip off of the door frame, which is easier while holding a coconut for some reason. (you can find 2 videos of it on my profile if you care)
I know I'm replying to a year old comment, but did the loading zone seem strangely small for you too?

@@flaviottyd The "loading zone" is in its normal spot, but it's really a special floor that warps Mario when he goes over it. When you're climbing the outside of the boathouse, the floor below you is usually either the door frame or the roof, but there are tiny spots where you're only above the slightly slanted wall of the boathouse, meaning the floor below you is actually the warp. So yeah it's pretty precise

Once I accidentally glitched my way underneath pianta village, I managed to walk around and look above to see an invisible pianta village but npc's were still there, thisbwas years ago on GCN i wish i knew how i did it, it was an awesome glitch
