Glitch Shorts: how to speedrun Mario 64 arc.

YO! At the end there, you grabbed the Bob-Omb _right_ as it exploded! That means that the game considers it dead, i.e. unloaded, and when you run around and other objects load, one of them may load into the same position in memory that the Bob-Omb once occupied! In other words, Mario can hold, and throw, arbitrary objects! (As long as you can make them load, i.e., they aren't permanently loaded, like Mario himself.) That's an extremely useful trick in TASes!

I think the Chain Chomp is very confused and sad by Mario using a bomb to get his star. He will never be set free

The trick is also used in SSL to propel Mario into the top of the pyramid thereby skipping the pillars and either quickly getting the star you see as the elevator is going down or going to the mini-boss fight.

in the last clip the bomb has blown up, but mario still held it. If you moved around you could carry any object, that would replace the bombs loading spot. (i believe this is frame perfect)

Your Glitch Shorts videos are really made and the tutorial aspect of it is straight to the point. You should definitly cover some Ocarina of Time glitches. There are a lot of more obscur glitches that are not useful in a normal speedrun, but very useful in a "randomized" speedrun. And even if it's not useful... You know... Ocarina of Time glitches are always fun to watch! ;)

I remember trying this out a couple years ago because i thought it looks easy but i didnt know what inputs to do.
After a tutorial it still took me a bit but i was able to pull it off.
