There really won't be much a difference for online as the loading times on online are just rockstar's shitty GTA 5 servers they've had since 2012, the difference for loading would be mostly on Story Mode as that's offline and not online.
Load times were shown for rdr2 and the loading time was cut significantly

People forget that the Seagate SSD has additional chips on the card to talk to the velocity engine to keep it at the same speed as internal SSD. It does not have to go through a PCI bus to communicate with the core processor. PCI 4.0 is fast but velocity engine communications is faster does not have to go through a bus to communicate.

I had the Xbox one white with Sunset Overdrive 1 month after launch and it still works almost perfectly with the occasional high fan noise when switching between running apps.
I'm pretty sure they announced they will continue adding more BC games. I remember reading that the BC team was busy working on BC for Xbox Series X and that's why they stopped adding more 360 and OG Xbox games.
They said if they kept adding to X1 while working on XSX they would be playing catch up with BC. So yes it is implied that after XSX is out the BC program will open back up to the public and more will be added based on user request and if it is possible with all the rights and all that.
That’s awesome. I’d really love a max Payne 3 BC with higher frames like 60fps. That would be an absolute dream.

Checking the official pages Kena (which maybe come to pc first), Godfall and Deathloop doesnt come to XBOX and Stalker 2 doesnt come to PS (or atleast they didnt announced that or a didnt find it)

If anyone is a fan of the Project Cars series, and has the new Project Cars 3 game in disc like me, you can see on the disc box when you get it that it says "Xbox Series X - Xbox One" in the corner so yeah that question at the beginning about the box cover art is answered. This is only an example but I'm sure the other games will be like that too. The thing is, that came, from what I know, came out before the XSS was unveiled, on August 25th for the deluxe edition and August 28th for the standard version.
I thought them stopping working on back compatible OG and 360 games was temporary while they were working on the new console and was assuming it would restart when the console came out.
Hope so, because I need Call of Cthulhu: Dark Corners of the Earth on the Series S/X.

That's my understanding and hope. There's a TON of OG Xbox games I want to play on my Series X. Deathrow, Kung Fu Chaos, the old Mortal Kombat games, Mechassault 1 & 2, Gunmetal, I could go on. There's also some of the 360 games that I want to play, like the Ubisoft-made Naruto games, Lollipop Chainsaw, and Eternal Sonata.
Yeah Microsoft made it clear in their announcement they were stopping work on backwards compatibility for games to the Xbox One not stopping it entirely just moving to the Xbox Series. Quoting from the announcement "After this week, we have no plans to add additional Original Xbox or Xbox 360 titles to the catalog on Xbox One, but we’re excited to continue our work on Xbox compatibility across platforms and devices, which remains a top priority." They pulled people off backwards compatibility for the Xbox One and moved them to the Xbox Series. They did not and are not breaking up the backwards compatibility team. Once they finish the work on Xbox One games they will go back to the Xbox 360 and OG Xbox.

not true, I don't know in what year you guys live in, but in 2020 games come with codes, unique codes that you use to put in your console/pc and download the entire game digitally , I don't see why this will not be the case with buying a Xbox Series X games for the Series S.

I play apex a lot at 110 fov and when switching to warzone I get an aneurysm every time from how zoomed in everything is. It feels like I am looking through a magnifying glass and kills the game for me.
I would for sure put on a dust filter on the intake myself, so much dust is gonna stick on the insides and acumilate and get worse and worse, specially when you smoke a lot of joints, the dust will become sticky dust.

The part you missed is that the proprietary form factor directly integrates the drive’s cooling into the vapor chamber heatsink via heat pipes. The proprietary form factor actually serves a purpose. WD drives have been seen in databases, but Seagate as the drive partner likely has an exclusive window. As Sony is redlining these drives, it’ll be interesting to see how they’re handling the cooling.
I've got a back catalogue of games plus some that I'm replaying/will replay when finished the first time. Currently playing on the PS4 Slim so super excited to bring everything over on the PS5 and have fast loading times and 60fps!

I think they are counting the PSNow games plus all PS4 games and, you still don't get 4000 games. PS4 count on wikipedia isn't even 3000. PSNow has around 700 games, many of them PS4 games anyway.

I have a question: Will I have to use an external HDD to transfer my data to the series X? I have an Xbox One S right now and I’m wondering if I can also do a regular network transfer with the internal drive.

Quick Resume for back compat games to jump right back in will be pretty amazing even with a slower external drive. Times also look much better than the original system if you want to get a good external SSD drive (ie. about the same as internal since they aren't optimized for Series X/S) for cheaper than the expansion.
Does the USB TV Tuner work on it? Always loved being able to boot it immediately into local over the air TV programming and keep it the heart of my entertainment center.

If i have a niche PS4 game, I would want to know if I can still play it on PS5. Sony was being honest when they say 99% will be compatible. Microsoft was bluffing full BC but now we know that it isn't.
@@sjneow I mean if Xbox can't get the rights to a game or for the developer to want to work on it, then I doubt Sony can get those same games. So don't expect any cross platform games that Xbox couldn't get. It will mainly be Sony first party games.

That's not what I read at all from researching into backwards compatibility.
The teams stopped working on bringing X360 and XBOX games to X1 to focus purely on the Backwards Compatibility setup for Series X|S. It had nothing to do with not being able to license more games, particularly original XBOX games.
In fact we should fully expect that shortly after launch Xbox announces new games being added to backwards compatibility.
Hey guys, hope you are keeping well! Have a question regarding external hard drive use on the XBOX series X (XSX). Have you tried putting the XSX in standby "Energy Safe" mode with an external hard drive connected, and then when you power on the XSX, the XSX fails to detect said hard drive?

yes the only reason they stopped doing them for the Xbox One is so that they could focus their efforts on making them work in time for the Series X / S release.
I have a question and I’m not sure if it was asked. What about apps? Will these companies be updating there apps to be in HDR as well? For example the Netflix app is currently not in HDR for the XBOX One X and the colors look washed out. Also, will you be able to do quick resume between apps?

I've got a question. With a external HDD plugged in to the Series X or S and playing those back-compat games, will there be performance improvements? For example, will playing an Xbox One game on a Series X have higher FPS when played off that external HDD, as compared to playing it on an Xbox One?
You can use a slow external drive to store series x/s (next gen) games while not playing. Would be quicker than deleting and re downloading digitally purchased games

The thing about the expandable storage which is interesting is although Microsofts is a much more intuitive option. If the technology of these high speed ssds get more widespread adoption in the end the ps5 might end up with way more options

I don't think that they are done with backwards compatibility with the Series X/S. The back compat team was taking a break with releasing ANY new back combat games for the existing Xbox One as a platform.

I have a small phone book sized amount of questions I still have about both Xboxes and the PS5 consoles. So many questions about how games run and which games run And which games get improvements and which ones will basically be like running a PS4 game like it was in a PS4. (base version not pro) I have no problem waiting well past the launch day to find out the answers to all my questions.

Usually the nvme heat sinks don't do much from what I've seen in videos so I doubt no heatsink will be an issue on the ps5

Preordered series x yesterday, in a physical store. Stock is no problem, they had confirmation for a lot of them on nov 10. Online preorders were staged rush-sales to create an illusion of extreme popularity and demand, to do that they had to limit availability to a ridiculous low number. Theres no console shortage, you been had guys, they went in dry and you probably liked it.
Regarding new back compat: when they said they were stopping it, it was UNTIL new system is released, not completely

You can transfer games back and forth from a SSD to a hard drive so there’s really no need for that seagate SSD. Just a waste of money. You won’t be playing more than 12 games at a time
