- Watch on an HDR compatible device or screen if you can! With our early Xbox Series X preview, we wanted to show as many games as we can running on the system, so here's a look at a bunch of titles in a 4K 60 FPS HDR video!
Note: Looks like I made a mistake during my research for this video, Red Dead 2 runs locked at 4k resolution on One X and did not make use of dynamic resolution scaling.

Hey man. Out of curiosity, what frame rates do sunset overdrive, assassin's Creed odyssey, and red Dead redemption ii target on Xbox series X? I'm pretty sure they're still 30 but I also heard that select xbox one games would natively bump the frame rate cap from 30 to 60 with no update required.
can you comment on the performance of the Series X on an 21:9 ultrawide?

One of the 360 games that looks amazing with HDR is the original Mirror's Edge. That games' colours were already gorgeous and it's gotten even better.

Very excited for the Series X. I love how I can buy a game now for my Xbox One - and know it's just going to run better on a Series X. In previous generations I've hesitated at tail end thinking the games I buy will become redundant but I love how seamless this transition is.

If the GTA loading screens only take 15 seconds, Conan will be a walk in the park
Those who can’t view this in HDR are really missing out. Those colors just pop off of the screen. Pretty crazy looking.

Piens Luc actually I went into my settings and picked the 1080p 60fps HDR setting for this feed.
Your device or version of TH-cam doesn’t probably support HDR.

@@narukami6364 Playstation has some good exclusives but at the end of the day exclusives are a handful of games among the hundreds that are released. From a value perspective the Series X + Game Pass ads a ton of value for the consumer. Not to mention that the Series X will have it's own exclusives and whatever else Microsoft has planned with their first parties.
Terra Nigma I agree, however just like Nintendo, Sony have established a few dozen franchises and IPs that people have grown to cherish, more than Microsoft, and whilst there will always be more 3rd party games to play at higher resolutions, it doesn’t beat being unable to play the several PlayStation Exclusives at all. There are many who find true value in the whole games PS offers over the resolutions bumps in the games they can play on either console, especially those who don’t even have a 4K TV.
At the end of the day, it’s not the graphics that matters, it’s the games, and I believe that’s one of the major reasons why PlayStation have always received more praise than Microsoft, even when I think they shouldn’t.

Fantastic video, keep more of these vids coming please. I'd love to see Nier Automata and Evil Within 2 running. Both were bad performers even on the One X. I think EW2 has a 4k unlocked framerate option too.

Thank you for uploading this video in 4K 60fps HDR. I am watching this video on an LG 4K monitor (I don't think my monitor is HDR though ?). Even though my monitor is capable of viewing in 4K I choose to watch in 1440p as that is the resolution I prefer as my eye can't tell the difference between 4K and 1440p.

Vitor Fernandes there were a few years where it sucked to own an xbox though. I remember being bored out of my mind for at least a year. This year has been pretty good though and once the series X released then it will be amazing.

In terms of noise the newer ps4 pro models don't make nearly as much noise as the older ones but i get that point if we are looking at the big picture . In terms os saving games you can save games for free on a flash drive with the ps4 .
In conclusion if we are talking about game services and customer friendly aspects i think xbox one , but in term of games the ps4 won by a lot and this based upon the reviews of exclusives and the number of console sales .
The fact that MS had the sense to create an open architecture that improves games solely based on hardware (like PC) is genius.

I need a video about The Witcher 3’s 60fps mode!!! The resolution is dynamic so I’m pretty sure on the series X we will be able to play at 60 FPS native 4K on day one without a patch.

With Control, are you playing the backwards compatible version or the next gen version? Also, when you say the frame rate is "buttery smooth", is it 60fps or the locked 30fps from the One X?
Where's the fps counter tho. A lot of these looked liked they're still running at 30 fps.

Kevin mentioned in the vid that some of these games such as Destiny are locked at 30fps, so you wouldn't see a higher frame rate anyway.
They are still running 30fps because they are locked to that. Developers need to patch the games to unlock it. They can't magically go from 30fps to 60fps if the fps is blocked.

Good work. Was already going to buy one before a PS5 but this helped cement my decision.
People go on and on about how there’s no “next Gen games” but those times have passed, what you get with more power these days is more details, better frame rate, more resolution etc etc. It’s what PC gamers have enjoyed forever, one of my favourite things about getting a new GPU was seeing how much better my existing games ran and I am so damn excited to get my Series X because I have hundreds of games that I can try out! A lot of them coming from Game Pass

Story based 3rd person games are just dead/boring imo, I literally fall asleep after 45 mins of playing a story mode game now a days while when I play mp game I’m up for 8-10 hours w less then a 5 min break.

As a person who used to prefer ps, ps just doesn’t have “it” anymore imo, they don’t have anything going for them imo, they have story mode games which are boring and have been dead imo since ps2 days, & they are currently underpowered which is another down imo. Boss Micky Once i beat spiderman (the dlc’s included) i stopped playing it..like its literally just sitting in my closet in my video game box...now the ONLY PS exclusive (in my opinion) that i never get bored of is Uncharted 4..i can replay that game hella times and not get bored of it..but overall ps exclusives bores me with the single player stuff i have an xbox one x and im mostly on there now...i forget that i even has a ps4 pro at times😅💀🤣🤣
Please test ES: SKYRIM on Series X. The load times on the 360 were awful!

I was really impressed when I first saw HDR years ago, I'm playing New Vegas AGAIN on my pc with ultra settings and Dolby Atmos, is a damn shame we can't play at 144fps due to technical mistakes.

It runs at a locked 4K. It doesn't use any dynamic resolution scaling and doesn't really drop any frames either on the One X. So, that game was pointless to show for the Series X.
Actually it does drop frames occasionally on my Xbox One X even ruining on an external SSD. Plus the loading times on the Series X are way better for RDR2
@@MichaelM28 With some optimization patches it will be locked at 60fps and that will be prettty impresive in a game so beautifull.

Sony doesn't want to push it especially during a pandemic. Xbox has too much pride melting in their hands. Plus Astro's Playroom is a good side game to play. It doesn't have game of the year potential but it is for kids considering most adults buy kids playstations

Sony has done their part and on their behalf and they are going to maintain a scheduled marketing strategy like this to ensure public safety and to help other to be safe. Xbox doesn't care. They just need all employees stat on the go and pushing out products and products. That's one thing. Pride is hateful. If you get latched on to pride like Microsoft and like you. Then you get annoying. You get overwhelmed of what is frequently boasted about. The marketing strat is pretty good at Sony. They are showing enough and they aren't showing to little. It's just Microsoft doing too much to impress too little. Because honestly Sony doesn't care about Microsoft. Plus there is gameplay of those stated games already shown and it looks great. Some games are stuck on current gen parts to balance their knowledge on what they are enlisted in and that they dont have to push it unlike Microsoft. That's why Spiderman looks way better than Halo Infinite. No offense. Plus considering what those people are doing with so much time and money just to create a huge project in time of crisis is outrageous. That's why I stick with Ps5 and Sony as a company. No hatred on Microsoft I just don't condone their circumstances and their marketing material

yes , it's not as cheap as the series x, wait until ps5 gets shipped and videos with it overflow, now seriously why is everyone so amazed that a game made to run on 2014 hardware works great and looks better on 2020 hardware? didn't you already play this games , why play old games on new hardware were you could play new games on new hardware and be trully amazed, as when old gen launched you had backwards compat. back then too but no one cared as you had new games to play ... xbox will ruin gaming for all of us if they succed with gamepass ..can't wait to have 5 subscrisions for 50-60 dollars a month to play a lot of old games as all new games will be full of microtransactions and commercials justified by the fact that we wont own the games anymore... once the genie gets out of the bottle there is no turning back .. steam, epic, amazon, google, playstation, nintendo they will all want a piece of the pie let the era of subscriptions with poor content come the sheeps are ready...

for once we're seeing consoles actually run older games with enhancements just by taking said game and putting it into the console.

I can use mi cd of the original xbox, and 360 cd's in my Xbox one, and im excited because the new xbox i can play that games and buy a few of new games:)
