The ultimate load time test should've been for GTA 5 then we can talk about how fast series x is.
I think Red Dead was a good enough comparison because they both take just as long to load.

RDR2 can easily beat that ancient game in load times.
The problem is gta v has a lot of serversided bottle necks for loading ... Even on an ssd it doesnt load that much faster (compared to the speed gain over hdd)
They would really need to optimize loading on nexrt gen for us to see it at it's best.

Well you will have to buy a monitor thats 120hz instead of a TV being 60 hz because 120Hz xbox +60 Hz monitor or TV = bad
I'm really annoyed anybody is pushing for 4k. I imagine it's mostly to sell televisions and strengthen the rest of the market as well. But honestly, to me and most people playing on a television and not a foot away from a monitor, 4k is almost meaningless when compared to FPS. I hope 4k modes on next gen games are not the standard. Games should be developed with 1440p in mind, 60-120 FPS, and effects and lighting and ambiance FIRST.

This is really impressive Stuff ! The Raw power and quick resume feature is really awesome, even without the official day 1 patch of the official release and any other patche for the hardware and software the raw power is very cool,they said they do not use the new tech of RDNA2 and other things and will double the fps even further once the patches are out and the SSD Velocity system will kick in and load even Faster in most games.
Quick resume is pretty insane at how fast you can jump between games. When it gets even better optimized..holy shit. What a feature to have.

It’s still gonna be slow for online because GTA uses P2P servers which significantly hinder loading times. Loading just into story mode will be very fast however

Does having multiple apps suspended with quick resume have an impact on performance? Would I be getting higher framerates in a game if I close all other apps and have just the one game running or would it be the same, regardless of games suspended in the background?

Austin(and viewers) what are your thoughts on the new LG CX model OLED tvs to pair with the console? I know they have a bug atm with the 3xxx Nvidia cards not doing 120hz, G-Sync and 4:4:4 all at the same time but that is supposed to be fixed via firmware. I plan to use the tv primarily for the console but I do have a 3xxx series card on the way to use in my PC.

To give you news you have a problem with that
My main question about both the PS5 and Xbox Series X was about when you connect it to say a 1440p monitor or 1080p monitor that can do say 240 fps. Will we be able to set the resolution down to 1440p or 1080p to trade for higher frame rates than 120 fps? For competitive games this would be such a great thing. To the extent that I'm sure there are plenty of people who would gladly play their games at 1440p for near 200 fps or more in most games.
Are you able to use any usb headset with the new xbox or do you still need a xbox exclusive headset ?
