when you gave the example of the burnt out musician i suddenly recalled the pink floyd album cover with the two men shaking hands and one of them being on fire, the album features a song "welcome to the machine" which still resonates with many people. pink floyd is a band of very talented musicians that loved making music and made insane amounts of money, but even they felt burnt out having spent so much time and energy making music and touring.
Was really impressed by your writing in your video on the N-Po generation in Korea, and am totally not surprised to see that someone with such attention to precise wording and clearly leftist opinions is another fellow burn-out victim. You've earned a subscriber. From the few videos of yours I've seen so far you might be among the best, at least for me. (P.S. I personally really like "Kathrin" here on youtube, if you yourself are looking for unique perspectives with good writing on very similar topics.)
Louis, you know the game... this is for the algo. I'll keep watching from the sideline. PS: You forgot one thing though. Depression is something that lurks in the shadows of burn-out... coming from the former burned-out/depressed consultant with tons of fellows in the same
You stare at a wall Louis? Might as well close your eyes to shut the world out too, visual cortex takes a lot of brain power. I think that's why my best ideas come as I try to fall asleep. No outside stimuli.
I love my wall too much, can't take my eyes off it ;) But ya closing eyes help too, I do that sometimes when my eyes are tried. I don't do it that often though because I sometimes fall asleep with eyes closed.

@@TheLouisZhao so you're telling me that the burnt out corporate consultant is also sleep deprived? Who would have guessed lol
@@PaulYuNow I know, burnout + sleep deprivation is quite an improbable combo lol
