Hey there, that’s a great question. There are actually many ways to Anxiety. I found a video on
youTube that Explains a few simple ways to Anxiety.
I’ve tried many different ways to cure this. Here’s a link to a video that gives some great tips.
      dausel.co/XK7seT
Click on that link above and once you land on the page, click where it says “I am not a robot”
And then you will be redirected to a TH-cam video that shows how to Anxiety.

Great info. Confirmed that chewing gum can help feel calmer and align the anxiety. For details of 6 tips to help tame the anxiety:
    1) 5:05 - name the anxiety
    2) 6:52 - face the anxiety
    3) 10:02 - Breathe out anxiety (i.e. 5-7 or 7-11 technique)
    4) 13:46 - grade the anxiety
    5) 16:05 - discharge the anxiety (exercise)
    6) 18:57 - be aware of the anxiety (love the acronym explanation for BEWARE)
Finally 20:02 -- summary of all 6 tips to reduce anxiety effectively.

      @Nyx773 4 ปีที่แล้ว +6

Thanks much for the time stamps! Always appreciated!
*6) acronym is “AWARE”, not beware
      Accept feeling anxious, describe it
      Watch the anxiety, grade it
      Act normal
      Repeat above 3 if necessary
      Expect the best

Thank you so much for this, just watching your video lowered my anxiety. I've been struggling with anxiety my whole life (even as a toddler!). I've always been prescribed medication but every single one I've tried has made my situation worse, usually making me feel suicidal. I've been without medication for over 10 years, just barely scraping by.
I live in the middle of nowhere and our health care system is in shambles, and the one psychologist I managed to get an appointment with made me feel even worse, I felt like I couldn't connect with her at all. I've gone through multiple traumatic events in the past year and nothing I've tried has managed to soothe my anxiety, until I watched this video. Obviously, it's not a magic remedy but your tips really help me calm down. I'll definitely be binge-watching your videos. Thank you so much, Mark Tyrrell!

Fascinating regarding the chewing of gum calming and switching off the anxiety. This very much ties in with how chewing stimulates the vagus nerve and takes one out of sympathetic to parasympathetic, as you said. Also why many people emotionally overeat, as it is very much something that calms and takes the person away from the discomfort that has often triggered them. Thank you for sharing as many helpful videos as you have, Mark.

Does anybody have a fear of their own panic attacks? i got diagnosed in 2012 with panic disorder/generalized anxiety/agoraphobia. I could be having a perfectly fine day and the little voice in my head says "You might panic" or "you've had a panic attack before here!" The worst is stressing over having a panic attack days before 'expecting' something to go wrong and then putting yourself in the situation and then realizing it was nothing you even expected and then panic because you were wrong ahahhahaahhaah It feels like an everlasting cycle but thankfully my anxiety has pushed me to do so much with my life in a positive way that at times it feels like my best friend/worst enemy. It it possible to panic while you are exercising because your body thinks it panics? I have a million question ! P.S - i will never take medication because I prefer a natural way and challenge myself

This video is amazing! Mark - everything you say in this video is spot on, and exactly what I need to hear! I have GAD and I am on medication for it. But I also suffer with a terrible phobia of retching and gagging - it is horrendous and has ruled my life for 4 years now! It had driven me to despair, it has affected my jobs, I find it hard going out sometimes because I’m so frightened it’s going to overcome me in front of people - I suppose just like someone who is terrified of having a panic attack! I’ve tried talking therapy, EMDR by a therapist over zoom, but so far, nothing has worked! I’m currently seeing a new therapist who does hypnotherapy…..I’m still the same at the moment, but I’ve only had one session. I’m so sick of it ruling my life! Your videos are really helping though - you speak so much sense, and in a really calm and soothing way!! Everyone like me needs a therapist like you! ❤️❤️

I just came across this tonight. I’m struggling bad with overnight stuff. I’m 24. Makes me looks down on myself. Does it really help? I’ve had 3 panic attacks this week already out of the normal. I’m drained. My boyfriend is beyond confused on why it’s happening. He’s supportive but I don’t normally get them this much.

Oh? Thanks Sarah young...I never remember to take vitamins. B12 always makes me feel funny and I break out with niacin in that is in almost every vitamin.

Thanks for going into detail and emphasising what's really important like breath out more than you breathe in, many people just say breath deep. Also the chewing gum I find interesting as I have recently started taking a drink with me every time I leave the house for when I get anxious and my mouth goes dry, I will be buying chewing gum asap. Liked and subbed.

I wish I could hit a ❤️LOVE❤️ button for this video!
Being ex-military, my Axis I sometimes reads like a shopping list with diagnoses such as MDD (reoccurring and severe), OCDs complicated by PTSD and GAD; this information has helped me to reevaluate what’s going on inside me. At times, it has given me the ability to examine and defuse anxious situations BEFORE they escalated into something more... Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

@Jendol-cr4rl I don't take any medication for my anxiety after it took me 18 months to get off benzos I was prescribed. Quick fixes are just that, it takes time to train the mind and now I am pretty good. I recently got robbed by a friend I had helped and it doesn't bother me at all. Even the problems of the world and the lies they tell us don't have much impact on me any more. The key is not to mind about things you cant control.

I have PTSD/CPTSD, Major Depression, and Anxieties including General Anxiety Disorder, Social Anxiety, and Phone anxiety.
I did overcome my Driving anxiety and looking to face the phone anxiety.
It has been almost a year since I last spoke to my son in Pittsburgh. My psychologist is recommending I Tap,
but I find my head can't focus enough because the anxiety is slam dancing in my head.
It also makes it hard to do TM.
Going to try some of the suggestions you gave and will try and call my son this week.

This video contains some very useful ways to help eliminate 'negative' emotions/states people can find themselves in.... and this can happen to anyone. I would like to add to the breathing part (which is imperative) by saying to breath deep from the stomach slowly upwards though equally important is to change your physiology. That means to change your body posture to an upright position (standing) with your head upright and maintain this position for at least two minutes then notice that negative emotion dissipate. I often tell my clients BP.... Breathing and posture breathing and posture. Your physiology will always override your psychology. Do this simple technique (by practicing) then be in control of Your life. This is a very old practice (often used in martial arts) though with the Internet it can be shared worldwide as I share this ancient wisdom with YOU the reader. Best wishes to all.
