Very informative Sukie, thanks! I was just watching acted speaker talking about A.C.E. I took the test and I am a 7 on the scale, which translates into a lot of adult problems. Apparently anyone with a 6 or more has a life expectancy reduction of 20 years.

I was diagnosed at a young age with PTSD, and by the time I was fifty I was informed of serious health problems. And I concluded myself that I had burnout on top of PTSD. I haven’t worked since, and now I’m retired with a reduced pension trying to take care of my health.
All of your videos have helped a lot, so thanks! 😊

So when 80% of your external stimulus is focused on your thoughts, isn’t this disruptive to your internal connections to your body? Most people are appealing, imposing or demanding your mental attention after all. Isn’t then your internal homeostasis quite easily overwhelmed by external demands by other people?

Hi, The body connection to the brain in burnout resonated. I am a severe ME sufferer - bedridden - and I like all you say and am trying to apply it to a FF attacks from a trigger happy Amigdala in confrontation situations. Apart from physiological and psychological approaches can you suggest how my body may assist my brain in reversing out of this longstanding problem? P Joy UK

I just want to say a massive thank you. This is the first time in my 34 years on this earth (17 of which, dealing with problems) that I have had hope that my body can recover from CFS. The journey will be long, but it feels like this is the missing link between physical and mental symptoms. I've told so many people about your channel. Sending positive vibes all the way from England.

As a Carer I suffer burnout and have done for years and I think in society healthcare for carers needs attention. Since my husband’s disability was caused by a traumatic accident (high level spinal cord injury) the trauma has never really gone away for either of us, except- he deals with it way better than me! I am exhausted. There must be so many (carers) like me out there. Pretty much invisible in society because we literally don’t get out into society much). I went through early menopause and I wonder if this was burnout related. I ache, I’m exhausted and burnout physically and mentally ... I’m definitely going to be checking out your channel! I certainly hope that I can regain flexibility and strength back again and that it’s not just downhill from here. I’m always switched on to help my quadriplegic husband but I know it is definitely not sustainable... you have given me some hope! Thank you 😊

This is GREAT! I totally agree with you. I am so grateful that I have found you. I am experiencing so many physical, emotional & mental effects of stress, trauma, and anxiety from being in a toxic marriage with a covert narcissist that just recently ended in divorce. I was feeling my best ever when I entered the relationship 5 years ago. I now feel like a tornado ripped through and destroyed my life. I know that it is a time of transformation and healing. I just don't like feeling this way. I appreciate your teachings and practices. I trust that you will help me to release the stress from my body and mind. Thank you!

Yes, the energy this year has been... chaotic. I imagine that we are all affected in subtle and not so subtle ways. I've noticed a few interesting shifts in my own body that have made me curious about the effects of all this social isolation and stress.

My emotional burnout comes from my family. Of 5 adult children 4 have problems, some serious such as extreme drug addiction and DUI caused paraplegia and its associated health issues. Also alcoholism and schizophrenia. How can I regain my balance? I just discovered your videos today and see that most people are stressed by work but I am an artist who works at home very peacefully. I am so burned out it’s scary.

Its amazing that even over zoom, teaching yoga to someone with special needs and their carers, they can still pick up on my co-regulation not being 100%. What are your top tips to become more regulated again? I use body tapping, mindfulness body scans and yoga... and a cycle ride.

Healing work has often relied upon the unpaid labor of women. It appears from your profile picture and name that you most likely identify as male, so it’s understandable that you would feel entitled to healing work for free because you always have been. However, like any professional, I charge for my time, attention and most especially for my intellectual property which certainly cost me more that $2000 to acquire and refine. I also choose to offer many resources - such as the videos you see here - for free because it’s important to me to do so.
