Dear Ma’m you are speaking to my SOUL! All the videos you post really do bring so much relief, peace, and motivation and I don’t have money to go to therapy so this is truly a blessing to listen to your coaching on such topics , thank you ❤

This is really helpful! I feel like we're also encouraged to have a more negative view of ourselves and see that as the "realistic" one, because anytime we're too excited about our strengths and wins we're told we're bragging, etc. So it's nice to have it framed as an incomplete perspective!

I was born into a family who pushed self awareness into me from age 5. They constantly dismissed me, and reinforced "you've got to be more self aware" every time I messed up, minor or major. In my experience they drew it from Law of Attraction which was the religion they were fanatical about as I grew up. So not only was I challenged on a mental/reality level of "this is your fault and have more self awareness." they doubled down with law of attraction beliefs which is - you create and are completely responsible for your reality and all things in it. I became an atheist in 2022 and last year I found out I'm AUDHD. Finally woke up realising how much those terms and comments from people crushed me. I'm so desperately glad to have watched your video because you know my struggle. I know, but I can't do. That was always my issue but being self aware doesn't mean you can magically make yourself more "neurotypical". Thank you for all you do. ❤

I really needed this video today. Been having Panic attacks again today and yesterday. This painful self awareness clicks so much with my situation.
Therapy I do think is great. (I have a great one personally who is also ADHD and can feel the difference in understanding compared to non adhd therapist. ) But it still take a lot of effort and self work.

6:39 I am in some kind of „positive shock“ (lacking better words), because there you explain perfectly how not only therapists but the rest of the world (e. g. teachers, bosses, colleagues, friends, family) sees us! While we would be the FIRST to make the changes if only we could …

Thank you SO much for posting this. I recently came to the realization that I am likely neurodivergent and will be seeking a genuine diagnosis soon. I don't know if you know what I mean but I always have felt a bit different than a lot of other people, even as a kid. Whatever justification I had for my behaviors and/or experiences, I always thought it was me having low self esteem or "that's just the way I am" , type of logic that explained. The thing is I have known about neurodiversity but only in an offhand way but I think I may have been subconsciously going out of my way not to research it more even though I have had times where I've thought to myself, "I'm starting to think I could be on the spectrum, a bit."
After really looking into it and considering some of the folks I know are neurodivergent, I realized how much it explains a lot of what I've felt and experience in social, work and relationship situations where what I felt seemed like it came across to others as if I was speaking a foreign language or like I came from another dimension, or something. In any case, I am ready to learn skills to help me embrace my nature and not allow it hold me back from living a fulfilling life. And your videos have helped me get one step closer. So glad I ended up here!

Pretty high relatable video for me. As an AuDHDer I can struggle with that inner critic and shame. I have been practicing some self-compassion and it’s been helping 😄

Hi Megan. Great video, really informative. I was assessed & diagnosed with ADHD Combined a few years ago. But I'm pretty sure I have the symptoms of Autism & DCD too. Watching in 🇬🇧

Very very needed. I am new to the self discovery of a life long struggle of ADHD. Trying to now get a diagnosis so I can get some support for myself and my family. Never been kind to myself and want to live a more freely life from my head lol. Do u accept international patients?

Hey, yeah, being kind to ourselves is HARD. I'd love to help if I can. I do work with international clients as a coach, NOT a therapist (just a friendly reminder!)

Sounds like a bit of qbpd mixed in the asd/add - no shaming ☮️💟 but many asd/add get a comorbid diagnosis bpd - cptsd ☮️💟

Yes! I've contemplated BPD for a looooong time, but every therapist, psychiatrist, or other helping professional I've ever seen says I don't have it, and if I'm honest, my behavior doesn't match the criteria, just my internal world. So for now I'm sticking with auDHD, no BPD (not even quiet BPD) but I'm open to the possibility. As you said, no shame!!!!
