I AM SO HAPPY YOU SAID HAIR IS GENETICS AND THAT YOU HAVE NATURALLY BEAUTIFUL HAIR. I have the same hair except my hair is curly/ wavy. It’s so shiny no matter what and only gets frizzy when I brush it too much. I will make once adjustment to what you said though. You don’t need “cool” or “cold” water at all when showering or taking care of your hair. Like at all. All you need is warm water and all you need to wash is your scalp. Conditioner is not for your scalp unless your hair is incredibly dry, or you’re getting a salon treatment💕.
Thank you! I also have nice hair and people ask me how many times I wash it. I respond truthfully, once a week. And they look at me like they’re disgusted. It really helps keep my hair so healthy to not wash it

True story:my hair was very thin a few years ago, so I decided to cut it into a pixie because even my boss was mocking me and saying that I should shower more.I let my pixie grow while taking good care of my hair:I used only high quality shampoo, conditioner and hair masks and I dyed it only with henna and indigo.Needless to say, I had an amazing black bob.My hair was shiny and healthy. So imagine my face when someone came to me and said, with genuine glee:"Wow, please tell me where did you bought your amazing wig??"
Dry shampoo is designed to be used on fresh clean hair to absorb oil as it's produced - it's to slow down to hair getting oily process and prolong it's cleanliness etc - it's not meant to mop up oil after the fact.

it is good to apply warm water to your hair SCALP. i read an article on it and it like breaks down the buildup of your oils and product buildup. if you go to get a scalp massage they’ll usually steam your scalp like you do your pores. silly but cool
I definitely agree with what you said about genetics. Glad you said it most hair tutorials don’t (at least that I have seen). If I put heat in my hair it makes it thinner and causes breakage. With your hair it probably doesn’t because it looks really thick. (My hair is thin). My hair went from being collar bone length to almost my butt and healthy when I removed heat. Hair develops a resistance to long gaps in between washes... I have hair that I sit on it’s so long and I wash it like once or twice a month (every 1-2 weeks essentially) but I still shower every 3 days at least lol... ANYWAY.... when my hair was shoulder length before I just decided to grow it out 10 years ago I was washing it every other day at the MINIMUM. Prolly daily... and as i started to grow it out, I not only dreaded the amount of work it is to shampoo/condition/treat while damp, and manage before its dry (usually throw it into pigtail braids to let it dry), I began washing my hair less and less when I would shower... ANYWAY... the longer I’ve allowed my hair to essentially just live without stripping it down with shampoo, the longer I’m able to enjoy hair that looks clean but really isn’t,,, basically you have to just let your hair get greasy for (on day 2, to 3, to 4, to 5, to 6, etc for as long as you’re able/willing) basically the longer you’re able to let your hair be dirty... after that wash, your hair will maintain cleanliness a little bit longer and eventually you’ll get to the point where your hair doesn’t get “greasy” in less than a week because you’re just letting it live. Side note, lol when I have bangs (aka hair touching my naturally oily skin), everything I said above becomes irrelevant... I can’t let my bangs go more than 24-32 hours before they look nasty... I wash my bangs every time I shower and seal the rest of my hair up... just as an extra tidbit of info lol
Could you try making a video where you try eating rice for lunch and dinner to grow your hair 2 inches in 2 weeks please? What worked for me was eating rice for lunch and dinner. My hair grew 5 inches in 2 months. Rice might be the trick because I had waistlength hair since I was about 6 years old to about 15 years old then i cut it and rice was always in my diet. I just decided to eat rice with lunch and dinner and grew it longer faster. It took about two weeks to grow it 2 inches. Rice was not in my lunch diet until trying this method I made up.
It’s actually proven that cold water or warm water doesn’t make a difference for hair, though hot water will damage since it’s like putting heat tools on it. But lukewarm will be just as good at cold. Cold doesn’t close the cuticle.
Christina Blum I’ve heard it personally through my past hairdressers. But lukewarm water, not hot like the hell lol. One guy who covers hair washing on TH-cam is Brad Mondo has spoken of this. Besides who wants to go through the misery of cold water? 🥶
😂 I was a jet mechanic in the Navy-the part where you said, “get one that blows really hard…heheh that’s what she said”, cracked me up ❤️ new subscriber! And thanks for the tips!
I have long straight fine hair. I don’t use heat at all or tight hairstyles much. My problem I notice the sides of my hair dosnt grow as fast as the rest and has more breakage. The back of my hair looks way more healthy then the sides.
I have classic length (over the bum length) wavy hair and wash it once a week. Have you ever heard of the curly girl method? You don't have to follow the washing techniques or the recommendations, but the LOC/LCO method after washing (scrunching gel in and or a styling cream) and going with your natural texture would perhaps be nice? The "straighter" pieces might actually be heat damage.
I dye my hair constantly, more than once every fortnight!!! Because ppl think thats my natural hair colour (medium blonde)! Im really tired of myself. My hair is fried and not able to grow it because its ways breaking off and stretchy. I used to be blonde when I was a little. Now I dont even know how my natural hair color is like! Light brown I believe! Advice pls
I think maybe u should stop dyeing ur hair for a good while and let ur hair take a break. If ur hair is fried, start doing hair masks and coconut oil/deep conditioning. Please! You wont regret it. I used to dye my hair blonde and maintain but j stopped because i could just see my hair get so fried and frizzy. Now my hair is sooo much heathy.
Don't heat it would make your hair worse. Try deep conditioning masks and invest in good hair care. Establish a good hair care routine exactly like how we care for our skin religiously. Try multi vitamins for hair growth they're everywhere in market. Use oils, jojoba oil, argon and coconut, herbal oils. And stay away from hot water and towels. Notice how you wash your hair are you washing it right? Make buns instead of pony tails. And if nothing works you know what to do, visit a dermatologist
Zoey 101 you so true. Thank you 🙏🏻 I took the step, no more dying! I dyed my hair to my natural hair color (light brown) so I can grow it natural from now on.
Some people have hair textures that have to sizzle in order to curl. I have hard to curl hair so I curl at 430 degrees F and hold for 30 seconds. Thankfully I rarely curl it. I have extremely healthy hair.
Miranda Chalyset Not gonna lie I started doing it because I was lazy also. And I used to have much more oily hair, but when I started washing it less it started producing oil less quickly
Hi Christina! Redken is not a cruelty- free brand. They test their products on animals in very painful ways just in order to sell their products in China! Xx Jenny
I love using the tea tree shampoo that's the shampoo I use however the conditioner for me didn't make my ends soft in facts just made it dryer so i changed conditioners but the shampoo works wonders for me.
Christina Blum it is! Idk about you but I find it soo hard to braid my hair! It never wants to hold at the top of my head no matter how tight or close I make it 😅 then it always looks soo little. If you have any tips that would be a great video idea!
@@melissasahagun5359 that’s a really unkind thing to say. Are you seriously saying that it’s makeup alone that makes her beautiful? She’s radiant, intelligent, with a huge megawatt smile, beautiful skin, and lovely facial features.
I wish I didn’t have to wash my hair as much but unfortunately for me, I have an overactive scalp forcing me to wash (at the latest) every other day...honestly it gets so oily it should be every day but I use dry shampoo in between washes. Sucks 😕 Edit: I use the Dove Dry Shampoo as well!!! The only downside is it runs out pretty quickly
Listen to the signs of your scalp, it producing more oils because it's becoming stripped of its natural oil. Try use sulfate free shampoos. At first it will take some time for your hair to adjust but it should with time.
Pink Panda well, the thing is, i have scalp seborrheic dermatitis and i’ve tried sulfate free scalp shampoos but the only thing that works for me is Head & Shoulders. All the other shampoos i’ve tried leave my hair greasy, as if i didn’t wash my hair at all 😕
@@user-mt8to4qu2m Try to train your scalp to not get oily as quickly (I know it sounds weird), by that I mean try to go at least one more day without washing your hair no matter how oily and disgusting it seems. After a while of going two days without washing your hair, your hair will most likely get used to it and then try to go another day without washing it, and when you get used to that add another day, and so on. You might think that's impossible, but at least give it a try. I don't know if this helps but I hope it does ♥
Nour Hammouri well... i do try to do every 2 days and i’ll use the Dove dry shampoo between washes but it gets bad...and i give up lol maybe i need to keep trying for longer 🤷🏻♀️
What are ur thoughts on putting natural oils like argon or coconut oil in hair? Do they work, is it healthy? How often should I use them? I have really weak, long, frizzy curly hair that’s become really dull and dry. It’s a mess 😂😭
Sara WobbleYour your hair is literally the perfect example of hair that needs the extra oil. Curly hair alone can always benefit from extra oil's. But the fact that it is dull, dry, and frizzy means that you should definitely take into consideration some of these tips. I noticed the difference in the frizziness and dullness of my hair when I use cold water and instead of towel drying I kind of pressed it with a cotton T-shirt. My hair type would get too greasy if I did an oil hair mask once a week but it sounds like you could really benefit from it! 💕
I always read how silk in shampoos and conditioners is bad for your hair. The CHI silk infusion also contains silk I guess? So.. is it really that good for your hair?
You have the most stunning hair and not to mention you are stunning. Have you tried the revlon one step blow dryer..... I think it will make blow drying your super long hair so much easier.
I try to only wash my hair once or twice a week, but what do you do if you try to workout several days a week? It's hard not to wash your hair when it gets all sweaty 😭
Let your hair dry and then use dry shampoo. You may need to wash your hair twice per week if the dry shampoo starts to not be enough to refresh your hair.
Sofie Leiton you mean on days that I don't wash it, I most definitely shower every day 😅😜. Honestly, I keep my hair in a ponytail or a bun every day at home (I don't get out much lol). And when I go out after a few days of it not being washed I very quickly run the blow dryer over it to take out any bends from my hair ties. I will add a small amount of dry shampoo in places that seem oily around my scalp, and lastly will brush that through and style it either with my flat iron or a curling iron.
That's flawless hair right there, silk and gloss, nothing extra. It takes a lot of hard work to make textured hair reflect light so well.
Pretty much don’t wash your hair, use high quality shampoo if you do,
Air dry, straighten.

Wait you only wash your body every 3 days?! 😳
I have bangs and I can’t go more than two days without getting gross 🙄
Jessica Bozzo it’s not like she’s rolling in dirt all the time, it’s probably okay 😂
your hair is so shiny it’s crazy 😍😍
Yeah right
you have the healthiest hair ever!!!!!amazing!
3:23 for.... you know what :)
"sooo I dont look like half of you right now" IM FUCKING DEAD I feel called out as i should
Could you try making a video where you try eating rice for lunch and dinner to grow your hair 2 inches in 2 weeks please?
Madyson Nikolaus Really?! I've always learned the opposite is true. Do you know where I can find the study?
Christina Blum I’ve heard it personally through my past hairdressers. But lukewarm water, not hot like the hell lol. One guy who covers hair washing on TH-cam is Brad Mondo has spoken of this. Besides who wants to go through the misery of cold water? 🥶
😂 I was a jet mechanic in the Navy-the part where you said, “get one that blows really hard…heheh that’s what she said”, cracked me up ❤️ new subscriber! And thanks for the tips!
Her face when she said it too! It was so funny!
I love that. Hair is genetic. Look at Asian hair, it’s beautiful and healthy looking!
I love how you get to the point and truth while being kind girly 💛 who cares you post once a year, I subscribed anywayyyyy
I got curly hair and I trust you since your hair looks amazing and you know more so what products should I use
Hi Christina Blum can u plz tell me what brush u used in this video plz thank u 🙏 luv this video
Advice pls
Dye means chemicals
Stop it
I think maybe u should stop dyeing ur hair for a good while and let ur hair take a break. If ur hair is fried, start doing hair masks and coconut oil/deep conditioning. Please! You wont regret it. I used to dye my hair blonde and maintain but j stopped because i could just see my hair get so fried and frizzy. Now my hair is sooo much heathy.
have you tried biobunny hair skin and nail vitamins? they worked for me in terms of keeping my hair shiny and healthy!
Zoey 101
you so true. Thank you 🙏🏻
I took the step, no more dying! I dyed my hair to my natural hair color (light brown) so I can grow it natural from now on.
Watching this in 2019. my hair is around bra strap length. Ask me how long my hair is a year from now🥰
Lauren J get it girl! 🙌🏽💕
If I can remember
What is your hair length now?
So @Lauren update us
Lauren J its been four months how’s ur hair🤩
Some people have hair textures that have to sizzle in order to curl. I have hard to curl hair so I curl at 430 degrees F and hold for 30 seconds. Thankfully I rarely curl it. I have extremely healthy hair.
I have curly hair and I only wash it once a week
I started doing it because I’m lazy and luckily for me it’s healthier for u
Miranda Chalyset Not gonna lie I started doing it because I was lazy also. And I used to have much more oily hair, but when I started washing it less it started producing oil less quickly
Look up the curly girl method!
YOURE SO FUN I LOVEEEEEE YOUR PERSONAILITY
Lmao the intro instant subscribe you’re so cute 🥰
I love everything CHI. My sister does hair and she uses CHI. All of my products I use is CHI.
Yes! Yes to this whole video.. i have very fine hair and I use all of the same products and they are a must for fine hair!
Ansley Allison I think people don't realize how difficult fine hair is to deal with sometimes 😩
Christina Blum it is! Idk about you but I find it soo hard to braid my hair! It never wants to hold at the top of my head no matter how tight or close I make it 😅 then it always looks soo little. If you have any tips that would be a great video idea!
Ansley Allison I will definitely plan on making a video solely for fine hair!
I really wished she posted more ): she seems like a fun youtuber to watch
omg i just uploaded a hair video like this with a giveaway at the end! let me know if u watch i think you'd love it :)
I'm definitely going to try washing my hair much much less, thanks!
you're seriously one of the most beautiful and stunning girls I have ever seen!!! just wow 🥴🥴
Its called makeup
@@melissasahagun5359 that’s a really unkind thing to say. Are you seriously saying that it’s makeup alone that makes her beautiful? She’s radiant, intelligent, with a huge megawatt smile, beautiful skin, and lovely facial features.
Your energy is sooooo magnetic, very sympathic
LMAO: “subscribe I make new videos once a year”
🤣
What do you think about using a silk pillow? Is there actually benefits
Your hair is absolutely gorgeous! Do you use the Chi Silk Infusion every day on dry hair between washes?
sheeeeesh what is that GLOW 💫😍
The most beautiful make up for any woman is her natural hair and natural beauty.
I wish I didn’t have to wash my hair as much but unfortunately for me, I have an overactive scalp forcing me to wash (at the latest) every other day...honestly it gets so oily it should be every day but I use dry shampoo in between washes. Sucks 😕
Edit: I use the Dove Dry Shampoo as well!!!
I just watched a film where girl said to add salt to shampoo, idk maybe that will help you somehow
You could literally have a million followers! Keep going, I love your videos ☺❤
Like hair styling makeup cosy look-books anything!!
Wow this is the most beautiful hair I’ve ever seen 😍🥺
You literally are my role model if it comes to taking care of your own body😭😭😭
Christina Blum thank you!! I guess I’ll try it out then. I never put anything in my hair, I just wash it and that’s the end of my hair care routine 😂
I want your hair.❤️ never tried redken though, I will definitely do it!
omg i just uploaded a hair video like this with a giveaway at the end! let me know if u watch i think you'd love it :)
loved the tips and you're SO stunning
Thank you so much! 💕
@@christinablum408 your so beautiful and I love your hair
I use baby shampoo and dont do conditioning. And never use blow drying. Yet i believe i have good hair.
I always read how silk in shampoos and conditioners is bad for your hair. The CHI silk infusion also contains silk I guess? So.. is it really that good for your hair?
She said: I am fucking perfect
Me: 😂😂😂😂 my twin soul
How often and how exactly do you use the redken clarifying shampoo? When using it, do you shampoo twice or just once and then use the conditioner?💘
You have the most stunning hair and not to mention you are stunning.
Have you tried the revlon one step blow dryer..... I think it will make blow drying your super long hair so much easier.
Thank u:) my hair became so much shinier and healthier when I watched ur video:) btw love ur hair
Omg you’re so pretty and your hair is goals 😍
She’s not joking LOL
Ikr
Just bought the CHI serum because of you, gurl ✨
Beautiful hair! Thanks for the tips love!
Now, let’s talk about that top! Where oh where can I find her?! 😍
The biggest tip is to NOT USE HEAT. Go with the flow of your hair and work with it
My hair is hella greasy and oily just after one day without washing T^T
Same :/
Just try to go 2 days, for a while. Then 3 ect..
Hairstyles I would suggest for that to keep it in for longer is maybe half up half down styles :) that’s what I do!
Try dry shampoo
So was mine. I started just fighting through it going two days, then three, and now four!
Ahhh thanks for the tip to the road of a glow up :>
Ashley Prak I gotchuuu 🙌🏽
What is your hair routine on most days when u don’t shower (including hair styling)
