Thank you for this. My yukon had the Onstar module which was in the way so I ended up taking entire top of the dash off to get it out. Your suggestion of the thumb wheel ratchet was key to getting those actuator screws out.
Please....always remember to disconnect you negative battery terminal and wait a few minutes! This will prevent any possible airbag deployment which could cause serious injuries being so close!
Disconnect the neg battery terminal and pull the air bag fuse; then go do something else for 20 or 30 min. And still be aware of the "line of fire" when you come back.
I was against this idea of cutting the air duct at first. After watching several of the "remove dashboard" videos and how I'm famous for losing saved and ID bagged screws, I decided to cut the air duct and save myself time and migraines dealing with this repair. 👍😂😂
What were the symptoms? 2000 sierra' My heat to air actuator works but it still dont get much heat at all. Ac will work but not heat, and its not the blend door, or any heater core problem, Crazy! Thanks

Pull the dash pad off and cut the plastic duct to get to it then just tape it back together.

I guess not your buzzer went off. Lucky the air bag didn't throw you into to seat
Nice informative video. Curious if this configuration is on a 99?
Hi,
It was a 2001.
@@stuntcountry8488 I can’t get over how tight that was to get that damn thing on there, but it worked. Thanks for sharing!
What year of vehicle and model?
This one is a 1991 Chevy 2500HD. The shortcut works on any Chevy GMC version with the same configuration.
Was your battery disconnected
