Love the idea of half butter and half tallow or bacon grease. I have so many containers of strained bacon grease in my fridge, this will help me use it up. Thanks Anita. Cod livers are delicious. Sometimes I dont seem to tolerate them right out of the tin. I also like using them in recipe for fish salad with hard cooked eggs salmon mackerel and sardines. Not a high fat carnivore meal but delicious.
@@mrsducky3428 I use half bacon fat and half EVVO to make mayo and it doesn't harden. Sometimes will use 1/3 each of bacon fat, EVVO and avocado oil and it remains spreadable too.
I do this or fat-enhanced-sardines for one day, leading into three days water + electrolytes fast around my chemo. So far I'm tolerating the IV poison better than anyone expected 😁
@mariannatodd7010 there's quite a lot of research on keto diet in cancer and keto/fasting as an adjunct treatment with chemo or radiotherapy. It should make cancer cells more vulnerable and non-cancer cells more resilient. Research outcomes so far say it's helpful.
An older brother was doing Keto and being very successful. He was then diagnosed with cancer, so he blamed the keto and spent the rest of his very short life stuffing his face with straight candy. RIP precious brother!

Maybe a good boost will help! My cortisol levels are very high so that can be the culprit of the stall and weight gain. Hopefully it will be solved soon.

I love pig foot jelly, I used to buy the sliced kind till I heard it was pig brain, while I was raised on the farm we didn't get a lot of tongue, brain, sauerkraut etc because I recently learned dad didn't like it😂 He also got butter while the rest of us got toxic margarine, my job was to stir in the color.
My dad insisted on the best of food where us seven kids got powdered milk, margarine & not so much of his Standing Prime Rib Roast every Sunday. The war rations & Great Depression led him to this where spending money was a risking violence.
I’m so excited to try more of your recipes!! I let personal stress take me down the wrong path for many months. After so much healing with Keto and then high fat carnivore for cancer, I fell flat on my face and started eating my old high carb diet. I’m doing a prolonged water fast right now (Day 11 today!) but once I start eating again, I’m going to do high fat carnivore and never look back. I’ve done many water fasts the past few years and it’s very strange but one of the most soothing things is to watch cooking videos! And I especially like the end when the food is eaten! Must be some psychological trickery!!! I’ll make all of these here, and I’m excited to try the carnivore crisp flour meat bread, chaffles and I think you put cod livers in the seafood balls… definitely trying that because those livers aren’t my favorites but I want to eat them!! Before I fell off the wagon, I was loving making your recipes!! I like how you intégrate a lot of fish for Omega 3s. Thank you Anita🙌🏽

I cook my hog jowl in the oven. Cut like very thick bacon "chunks", then 30 minutes in the oven @350. Just made 3lbs. this weekend. Yum. Anita is the reason I even know about them ❣️

I use Concentrace in my coffee which is from Utah underground dry sea for electrolytes, I was making my own but getting cramps and severe dizzy spells that come on periodically the last 6 months, scary, I don't shop online. What about dehydrating egg yolks for future use? I make my own egg white powder by whipping the whites and dehydrating which doesn't take long. I like to have stuff on hand for camping, etc.

well I eat every day but I tend to fall naturally into a 16:8 IF window. I try not to eat anything after 5pm at the latest, then my first meal would be 9am at the earliest.
If you use an air fryer liner you can pour that off into a jar. If you do not use a liner there is pan under the air fryer basket that you can lift out and pour the fat into a jar. So easy either way!

I find it very difficult to eat over my TDEE but I know that Kelly Hogan who does fat fasts does go over her TDEE. Just try for a day to see how you make out and how you feel.
How do you know what your tdee is? I’ve been trying to figure mine out. Is there an app that Kelly hogan recommends? I tried looking on Kelly hogans website but couldn’t find a tdee “calculator”.

Yes, I went 60/40 and lost another 15 pounds. But that doesn't mean I don't do a high fat day sometimes. 60/40 is not sustainable for me personally day in and day out, I need some high fat days.
