DSP is highly proficient at driving into the back of cars. Ya'll are just jealous.
I bet when he pulls up to a gas pump with his gas tank accidentally on the wrong side he tries to pull the hose all the way around to the tank for 30 solid minutes before the idea of moving his car enters his thick skull.

In the DSPLand a perfect racing game is a game where cars never fishtail, you can smash into walls without any consequences, hitting traffic doesn't affect your car, it just moves the traffic out of the way......... wait a minute. There is a game like that actually. Need for Speed: Most Wanted.

He actually screws up in NFS: MW as well. It's always the usual blame-the-game stuff with him. He would crash into civilian cars on turns, and bitch about how the cars aren't in the *same pattern* each time he retries the race. Ya know, 'cause all cars move in exactly the same patterns in a *dynamic open world game*. xP

Sometimes, when I'm watching these, I forget about the "Good Idea" part and think DSP is actually playing, and I just have this moment of a few seconds where I'm like, "Wow, he's not talking, and he's doing good!... oh wait."

Very fitting, a lot of times it feels like the game is addressing Phil directly, like in Crysis 3 (I thought that would be fucking obvious) and others... Those are my favorite moments.
phil's shitty skills aside, this game looks fun

This race was on a five lane highway...no hard turns...I'm speechless on how long it took him to win this.

You make a fair point, but I still think it's an affected attitude to some extent. He thought it would make him stand out from all the other LPs out there, get him talked about (attention seeking) and more views.
2 out of 3 aint bad I guess huh? Plus I assume at some point this sort of thing was getting him more views (just a guess so I could be wrong here), but over time it's lost him viewers because how long can this sort of thing be entertaining? Not a knock on your video at all, I just mean his 'bad' style over all.
He's been gaining subs actually. This campaign is increasing his publicity, not the other way around.

MetalGearRexPilot It doesn't matter about subs. His views are still really low when it comes to playthroughs. When about 98% of your viewership is not watching your content then there's a problem.

I think DSP has played so much CoD that he instinctively follows objective markers wherever they go.
This doesn't look like a game where you slow down for corners, it looks like a game where you drift around corners.
Also, I like how the game characters said "Can I be optimistic now?" and then Phil immediately smashes into a fence.
Hoping I wasn't the only one hoping he was gonna crash and then did at 19:37 lol. The whole time leading up to it I was like 'Go on, Go on, Go, Go on..... YES!' lol.

Derek Nesbitt Late reply but he played the Burnout Paradise remaster and ragequit two thirds into the game because be was “bored” of losing easy events over and over again.
First 4 minutes dedicated to showing how to win the race properly... video is 34 minutes long. Yep, DSP at work.
Its painful to see the game having to dumb itself down progressively so he can finally beat the race
To be fair, every other car you use in this game handles perfectly fine while accelerating around corners, it's just this car. I still completed this mission on my second try though.

Some advice
If you're comfortably in 2nd and the game even says "Finish either 1st or 2nd.", stay in second. Watch the Mini-Map for those
behind you and Don't Get Greedy, going after the guy in 1st.
The fail at about the 19-20 minute mark is BEYOND the point of being entertaining. It's so stupid, so illogical and so bad that it honestly just makes you angry at him.
Why the hell did he wait until the very end to shift lanes!? What was he thinking?

I don't know if he thinks his car is thinner than it is, or his depth perception sucks but he tends to tip into cars with the front left and right of his car then says he didn't touch them.

if this guy played any Gran Turismo game from 4 onwards he wouldn't even get past the Sunday Cup. Hell he probably can't do the start and stop tests.
I wonder if Phil realized there was an alternative solution to this race, which was shifting to other vehicles (specifically trucks, buses, etc.) and taking out the other racers instead of wasting so much time on one race by trying to beat it in normal fashion.

Watching Phil crash so much brings back PTSD-like images of my car crash earlier this year.
Of course any DSP video gives me PTSD.
I skipped to the end, when he slammed into the barrier near the end and dropped to third I was so hoping it would end with him fucking up.

If he ever played any of the Armored Core series, I wouldn't be able to bear it. It would just be too much to handle, having DSP defile one of my favorite franchises. Watching the MGS playthroughs was painful enough.

Imagine this guy trying to play F-Zero GX, a game which I've 100 percented after about a year and about 3 broken controllers, has no in-game tutorials which forces you to read the instruction booklet, (thank GOD my copy came with it) and on top of all that is one of the hardest racers, as well as the absolute hardest Gamecube game of all time...
Something tells me that even Novice difficulty would be too much for him.
EDIT: Also, if America's Worst Driver were to get a reboot, Phil would probably win the title for sure if we was nominated. (Unfortunately, that's an if the size of the moon because of his "back problem.")
As a huge F-Zero fan, I would be royally pissed if he decided to play that.
But I most certainly would jump on the first TIHYDP on that shit.
