  • How to to adjust a Honda CT70 semi-automatic clutch.
The bike used in this video is a 1971 with neutral in the top position, and first, second and third gears down. The same process can be used on later model CT70's with the opposite shift pattern.
The process demonstrated in this video can be used on other Honda 3 speed semi-automatics, including the Honda Z50 and many others.

Thanks for the great vid. Just a quick question. How and or where did you get those modern footpegs? I'd like to have the same on my fresh build. Thanks

Hi @goboness5962, firstly thanks so much for your kind words. Glad to hear you enjoyed the video. Believe it or not, the foot pegs are just off of Amazon. I did a quick search and found these ones, but if this link doesn't work for you, just search on "CT70 foot pegs" and you should find a number of sellers that have them. www.amazon.ca/Footrest-Footpegs-Yamaha-Motorcycle-Motocross/dp/B08HPMWKYT/ref=sr_1_30?crid=20XXP0YOE4REH&dib=eyJ2IjoiMSJ9.Gdj43CJLG0jo6QwxBAr6hVNE42dhvHVJRYobPXksS_FPuu1GS9GSYZXUeE8UNmifTEZXj5FDk8w6WffL2cPrbXSrya_--DU3vpfV34pr3xi24NJ0sV8FJzWRB_fwLGf8J1QoHUu-5wGw1QU-Z2cNzUaRJLBF0c3_rbzdpqQ2JIGoCSyAEQ_XdGbOJ9jgbSFp1jJm94Aoiqsqy_jWK1x0YmDPvme-nivs78hcp5xioWtu7dkDhqoGPrRsEjZ2bKoZLuODfqIGYWqYkbrtUJn-7xBWabH2N0vG8z_48c2VStE.5Tw4Sn9RzJ9mxr7o3lwo-HoeTh6OzFw_Vi31CScBLNg&dib_tag=se&keywords=ct70%2Bfoot%2Bpegs&qid=1717361010&sprefix=ct70%2Bfoot%2Bpegs%2Caps%2C135&sr=8-30&th=1 (note: I am in Canada, so this is a $CAN link)

Also @goboness5962, not sure you noticed, but the bike has a 'heel toe' shifter which makes shifting way easier for an adult sized person, and that can also be ordered off of Amazon. Again, really appreciate your comment and if you haven't already, please subscribe, I need some more subs and would really appreciate it :) Cheers!

I may have missed it in the video, but do you need to have the trans in neutral to adjust the clutch? Thanks for the video.

HI @bartgoins1782, great question! You don't need to have the bike in neutral as the clutch mechanism adjustment procedure works exactly the same and equally well whether in gear or out of gear. That said, I'd do the job with the bike in neutral but you don't need to do it that way. Thanks so much for the comment, and if you haven't already, please subscribe :) Appreciate it!
