    MLM2PRO™ + PREMIUM MEMBERSHIP
    The all new MLM2PRO™ mobile launch monitor + golf simulator
    Dual optical camera vision + radar processing for precision accuracy
    Shot Vision and Impact Vision for multi-option swing replay
    Simulation at 30,000+ golf courses
    13 metrics - 6 measured metrics - including spin rate and spin axis
    Rapsodo combines - 24 total shots - 2 approach targets - 1 driver target
    Full functionality indoors and outdoors
    Apple and Android compatible
    The MLM2PRO™ aka Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro, is the successor to Rapsodo’s original Mobile Launch Monitor, which was designed using radar technology and machine learning to bring pro-level data to golfers so they can analyze their swing by monitoring metrics like distance, ball speed, smash factor with data visualization, club gapping, shot dispersion, and more. With the original model winning My Golf Spy’s Best Mobile Launch Monitor three years in a row, and being a trusted brand in Golf Digest’s Hot List Testing, the new MLM2PRO™ is now the official personal launch monitor of Golf Digest’s Hot List. It will provide the same industry leading data with additional metrics to further enhance the user’s experience - such as measuring spin and full golf simulation features. The MLM2PRO™ uses dual cameras and is compatible with both iOS and Android devices.
    With the MLM2PRO™, Rapsodo will introduce golf simulation including Rapsodo Range, a virtual driving range, and Rapsodo Courses, which will consist of over 30k courses globally. Rapsodo Range will provide trajectory and shot trace indoors. While Rapsodo Courses gives players the ability to practice on their local course ahead of a big event or play a nationally recognized course on their bucket list. Rapsodo has provided users thousands of course options through their MLM 2 PRO Premium Membership, so users will have an extensive list to select from and play virtually anywhere in the world. Additionally, the MLM2PRO™ is compatible with multiple simulation software providers including E6 Connect and Awesome Golf to give players a variety of options to suit their game. Even more integrations are scheduled to continue to add to MLM2PRO™ users’ subscription options.
    Callaway Golf Partnership
    The new portable launch monitor provides even more advanced data for golfers to analyze. In total, the MLM 2 PRO ™ will report six measured metrics within 13 core metrics including new data points like descent angle, spin rate and spin axis. The Impact Vision camera in the MLM2PRO™ records and processes images of the ball’s rotation to measure the ball's spin rate and spin axis. Adding these key metrics improves the ability to determine overall carry distance and path.
    “This allows golfers to receive information that will help them to optimize their equipment, practice and gapping. Callaway’s Optical printing technology provides unparalleled printing accuracy, ensuring precise placement of the Rapsodo pattern on each golf ball.”
    Multiple High Speed Cameras
    The MLM 2 PRO ™ has two built-in cameras, offering a major upgrade from the original MLM which required the iOS device camera to track ball flight. The inclusion of the cameras opens up the MLM2PRO™ to both Android and iOS platforms. The two cameras serve different purposes. The wide-angle "Shot Vision" camera is used to record a swing video with shot trace on every shot. The 240-fps high speed shutter "Impact Vision" camera captures a series of photographs that are visualized in the MLM2PRO Mobile App as a short video - allowing players to view their impact on every swing. The Rapsodo Swing Vision feature pairs the MLM2PRO™ with a phone or tablet to have multiple angles of each golf swing, allowing golfers to capture down-the-line and face-on swing replay videos so they can get more out of their practice time.

    This question is very important, they claim that they will be compatible with Android, the R10 is compatible with Android but only with phones and not with Android tablets, so everyone that got a tablet as a monitor is now unable to use it with the R10 including myself.
    So my question is, it will work with Android tablets? If that's the case is a no brainer for a lot of people.

    There was another channel that actually had one to try out and they put it against a GC quad and all the data it picked up was almost identical . They used a variety of clubs too .At that price point that is amazing and why i will buy one when they are released . I'm Sold

      So, they only focused on backspin which is good to see the results. I will do a full review shortly. Definitely looking solid though. Keep in mind that when you say the "price point is amazing" that the up front cost is only a small portion of what you will pay before you are through. At $200 a year to access basic features, you will most likely to pay another $1-2000 over the life of the product. The MLM 2 Pro is going to be a very expensive launch monitor to own.

    Just bought the R10 for $475. More data parameters without fees. Garmin also allows the use of a camera. In my honest opinion, why get caught up in gimmicks and dotted ballls. $200 every season lol. I was tempted to buy the flightscope mevo plus, but I can buy a new club and the Garmin for that price 😂

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It will be personal option but watch my MLM 2 pro vs GCQuad video. This unit can measure spin and spin axis vs calculate like r10. So it has a more accurate ball flight. R10 is still a good value for what it offers and might still be a what works best for some user’s preferences.

  • @andyp.4205
    @andyp.4205 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    In my use of the Garmin R10, it was calibrated and set level and numbers were right there. I put it up against Mevo Plus Flightscope and Top Speed golf simulator and it was +/- a few yards. For my purposes, the R10 tracks face angle and club path which the MLM2 does not. However, indoors the MLM2 may provide better data with driver swings with the metrics it provides. Outdoors on a practice range R10 is more than enough. The R10 took a while with updates so I'm guessing the MLM2 will do the same but it looks favorable for the future though.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      The r10 setup properly with RCT hitting center face does do a solid job. The data has a decent margin of error but for the price it’s a solid value for sure. It does lack spin axis accuracy due to mainly gear affect weakness not being able to measure and take that into effect. I think the goal here with MLM2Pro is to provide measured spin axis indoors or into nets outdoors etc. Just different approaches especially with the impact video and swing video etc.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos
      @GolfSimulatorVideos  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      As of right now it looks like there is only the premium, but you do get some solid features with no subscription as I mentioned in the video. That is a good suggestion though, maybe a middle subscription that covers everything but the simulation and spin axis. I will share that with them. Thanks for watching!

    • @cheetoritos
      @cheetoritos ปีที่แล้ว

      I second this. I don't think everyone getting this will be using it for simulation. The camera features make it a great practice tool as a launch monitor only, and having the cloud storage and expanded feature set for only that purpose would be really nice without having to pay the full $199. And from the original MLM ($99 annual for launch monitor features) as well as Garmin subscription ($99 annual for simulation features), a 50/50 split sounds reasonable.

We are in cabinetry and thinking of putting a simulator in our showroom integrated with bar cabinetry and making it look killer, figure we can start installing these in our custom homes bonus rooms. Good info. Currently a happy R10 owner w/ GSPro. Would consider the upgrade for better spin rates if there was putting, but for the cost to upgrade I am not sure if its worth it. Typically we use the sim for 3-4 months during this cold weather in Ontario only so it is hard to justify more. Secondly, I am a previous Rapsodo R-Motion customer and I am still scorned from how they just dropped the servers and made that product useless over night. I understand better products came out, but it left a salty taste. I have also read many horror stories from other customer with other products. It's the primary reason I stayed away from Rapsodo before. Looks like a great product, just hope they stand behind it long term. But they tickled my interest here anyway.

  • @johnng2528
    @johnng2528 ปีที่แล้ว +1

    The Rapsodo MLM 2 Pro sounds and looks great. However, there are 2 factors that is deterring my purchase decision: (1) The Premium membership costing US$199 is included in the first year, what about the 2nd, 3rd...nth year. That adds up to a lot of $$$.
    (2) There is one metric I really need and want of the German Approach R10, that is the attack angle of the golf club to the ball. If Rapsodo can work on these factors, it will definitely be in my shopping cart.

    New to the simulator world and this seems it would be a great starting point instead of dropping 10k on the uneekor eye unit. Newbie question, but how exactly does this hook up to a projector? What else would need to be considered besides an impact screen and projector to get this to work?

    I'll wait to see a full review, but spin rates being locked behind the subscription and no simulated spin rates like with the Garmin R10 are likely going to be deal breakers for me. Good info. Can't wait to see the first testing videos. This is a game changer. Specifically, the spin axis. The Garmin R10 is ok for practicing club head speed, distance and some swing mechanics, but without spin axis, it is useless as a simulator. This thing, for an extra 200$, moves the needle way ahead in emulating more realistic shot shapes, provided the spin axis is as accurate as they claim. You can now build a real golf sim setup with a sub 1k$ machine. Wow. I was holding out for the MEVO+ because of that reason. But with this, now most of us have access to building a sim setup at an affordable price. I'm all in.!

    The comment from Rapsodo about the membership not being transferable... what does that actually mean for buying a second-hand unit? If you purchase a used unit (or want to sell yours to someone else), can the new owner get a membership? Does it simply mean that the remaining time on the current membership is not transferable, and new owner needs to pay $200 to Rapsodo to get a new membership? Seems like a deal breaker if the new owner can't get a membership, as that would render the unit almost useless.

    Hi :)
    I hope the questions are not asked already.
    1. Is it true that a connection to the internet is mandatory? I can't get any internet in my basement unfortunately...
    2. Also how much of a difference will it make if the distances were a few inches off? I have 14-15 feet of space, so if the ball was an inch or two off will that influence the performance dramatically? (Would be cool if you could check it when you test it)
    3. Since the release is in the US, do you know when it will be possible to purchase it in Europe (Germany)? Or is it possible to purchase one in the US and use it in Germany?
    4. Will I have access to the Spin and Spin axis feature if I hadn't the membership but purchased a compatible software like 'Awesome Golf'? It would be a bummer if you had the Rapsodo software nonetheless.

      The pricing model might not be for everyone but there are many approaches out there, it’s good consumers have options. This one with a low cost entry and subscription sounds like it appeals to a lot of people based on feedback I’m hearing but not for some as well. The impact camera does indeed read the Callaway markings for spin. I asked, both cameras and radar are all used for data collection. Thanks for watching.

      @@GolfSimulatorVideos I don't have a problem with the approach. I just think they're doing it wrong by locking a pretty important data feature behind a paywall.
      As stated earlier in this thread, spin and axis have an impact on distance, shot shape, apex, etc.
      So what we really need to know is, will the data you get without the subscription be even remotely accurate? Is the unit basically bricked without the subscription? Or is it still reliable, but users simply don't get to "see" the spin data, nor have access to the enhanced features.
      If they'd include the data without the sub, but still charge for 3d range, simulation, etc. I wouldn't be complaining. And I think they'd do as well or better with this approach.
      If it's still reading spin, but not letting users see the data, I'm less bothered by the sub-only. Still weird. But at least users can still rely on all the other data.
      But if not having the sub throws off all the other data. Well, I can't see how anyone would defend that.

    • @rickjablonski9669
      @rickjablonski9669 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      @@GolfSimulatorVideos I reached out to Rapsodo to get more info on what locking spin behind a paywall actually means.
      Short answer, the unit still collects the data and uses it in conjunction with all other data being collected. The only difference is that the end user wouldn't be able to see the spin and axis numbers.
      While this is very good news. It seems even funnier that they'd lock users from seeing data it's collecting and using anyway. I think they'd do much better letting folks see the data. And just charge for the 3d range, simulation, combine, etc.
      I'd be a buyer and would happily pay for the subscription if they didn't lock users from seeing spin data without the sub. But am holding off for now simply out of principle.

    Interesting. Most things about this seems great. Price and functionality along with indoor and outdoor use. But like everything Rapsodo does, they mess it up somewhere. Making people pay to see spin rates after buying the marked balls is insane.
    I would have to assume that even if someone doesn’t pay for the membership, the unit is still calculating the spin rate to get the distances for indoor use. If they are not then their numbers will be just as bad as MLM is indoors. It sucks. A lot.
    The balls are interesting. Not sure I will spend $65 to get a dozen to test with qed but I’m sure someone will. The markings are so different that it likely will confuse qed on high spin shots.
    Looking forward to seeing testing on this indoors. The original MLM is actually very good outdoors but it’s the sim play that most people will be buying this for. And hopefully Rapsodo doesn’t over promise like they did with R Motion and MLM. So many promises that never came to be and then lack of support after a while. But this unit seems to be in a good place to start building better trust with continued development. Will I be buying one like I did their other two LM’s? Probably. Lol.

      Agreed 100% on locking spin behind a paywall. Just make the premium subscription for simulation, 3d range, etc. But owners should at least get all the data numbers without having to pay a premium.

    2 Things. My understanding is that it doesn't have face angle and swing path, correct? That could be a deal breaker.

      Correct not club data like path or face but it does have the swing path video for reference along with camera abilities from phones etc. But, this may or may not be enough for people seeking path and face angle.

      What we really need is for someone to mark up some other balls in the same pattern, but with a sharpie. Then tell us if the spin data remains accurate. Would be super easy to design and 3d print a template to mark up whatever balls you wanted to use. $65 a dozen is pretty steep when they're already charging you to even use the spin feature.

    Hiding spin behind the paywall is a bit sneaky. Makes it seem like this is a competitor to Garmin R10 with a similar starting price but within 6 years you will have spent enough to buy a mevo plus. I think I'd rather have a mevo plus.

    • @GolfSimulatorVideos

      I think their goal was to give a low entry price point for those they need it but get their return over time. Just a different concept. I understand what you are saying though, could be perfect for some and might not be a good fit for others. But, I would assume the subscription will leads to more enchantments and features over time. Thanks for watching!

    • @mr.celebre6533
      @mr.celebre6533 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      No doubt. I look at it like a GC3 vs Bushnell launch pro model. If you can afford the upfront cost of the GC3 I think it's the way to go because the launch pro will cost you more in the long run and resale value will be limited because it's technically never fully owned. Rapsodo vs mevo plus is basically the same concept. The genius though is rapsodo has successfully made this an R10 competitor and it's going to easily win that battle. But reality is this is a mevo plus and skytrak competitor both in performance and price and it's victory there is far from assured.
      Also. Do u think they are selling this at a loss in order to pick up that large user base and large subscription fee?
