I have the older model of the 144hz version of this (benq ex2780q). It's been my best overall-usage monitor, especially for the price. Now I upgraded my PC so I figured I'd go with the "same" monitor, just higher refresh rate. Excited! I'm just not quite sure if I should keep my current 144hz monitor and go for a dual 27" setup or keep it single monitor.
Hands down that you mentioned min brightness level, I never saw that in reviews and its important if ppl want to watch screen in darker rooms. I returned three monitors because of this cause brightness was just too high around 50 nits.
I just ordered this for a birthday present and as an upgrade for hdmi 2.1 since i got a ps5 and cant play 60hz anymore lol, i'm getting on the 22nd two days before my birthday.

I'd assume you still got all the test information from various monitors. It would be really great if you could make a comparison video in different areas such as response time, input lag, color accuracy and so on.
@@dprelate7285 yeah, it's something I do for input lag, but for response time it's a bit trickier as it's not always clear cut which is best (ie extreme OD might be the best result but unplayable)
Some ufo shots online indicate BenQ's blur reduction + freesync implementation isn't very good! It double strobes even at max Hz/fps. Without freesync it does single strobe as it should. Asus's, Gigabyte's and MSI's vrr strobing seems to be better, no reviews on Philips's implementation yet.
@@TotallydubbedHD sadge 🙁Maybe one (two) questions: No reviewer ever mentions if they use FreeSync/Gsync when the monitor comes with a low response time display or a good motion blur/ghosting reduction technology. Is FreeSync/Gsync irrelevant for a high refresh rate monitor (240 Hz +)? Isn't tearing the worst of all display/image errors?
@@gigamarv sorry, are you referring to Freesync/G-sync working at the same time as MBR/Blur reduction? As this was covered in my review. @@TotallydubbedHD Yea i have seen full video…actually what i meant to ask was is that really 100 percent smooth experience? Cause my current aorus display worked fine with gsync (with no certification) but it still stutters every now and then making me miss some shots in fps (like 1 in every 10 shots due to that irritating stutter) . When i tun off gsync it doesnt happen but then screen tears….So when i asked you about this monitor is really wanted to know that in person while actual using and playing on this, is it really 110 percent smootb experience? Please let me know as this will be guiding me to order it or not.
OLED isn't exactly perfect either, especially with the refresh rate and the maintenance required, but it's definitely a viable alternative, thus why I've linked my favourite in the description :)
From personal experience I can say it's great for gaming! It's most likely not the very, very fastest monitor on planet earth, but it's good for sure. Streaming, ofcourse. Video editing? It's not on the level of a purely professional monitor but ALOT of reviews claim it's just fine for "amateur level photo/video editing".
Hey! Quick question: I set my resolution both on windows and nvidia on 2560x1440 but 240Hz is nowhere to be seen. The max Hz i can select is 120Hz. What I do remark is that the active signal mode in the advanced settings is stuck on 3840x2160 and also in the menu on the Benq screen itself. Have you ever encountered this problem? P.S Great channel!
@@BeastyieBoy then it should be fine, that's odd. Have you set DP 1.4 in the OSD (or checked for such a setting). Might just be worth resetting the monitor in case you got some odd console mode being used.
