I love that Laura shows some of her real personality on her show, really feels like we're over for dinner at her house.
With that said, anyone else want to be invited for dinner?!

Hi Laura, bangers and mash is a British dish but lots of Irish people eat it. If you want to make traditional Irish food, try coddle, soda bread, blaas, potato farls, mash with curly kale and barnbrack on Halloween 🎃

I’d suggest trying it with russet mashed potatoes and substituting Duke’s mayonnaise for the crème. Dukes has no sugar but more eggs than other mayo’s. The small touch of vinegar in it plus the extra egg works well with enhancing the russet flavor.

Nice one Laura. Bangers & Mash are a Go-To comfort food... sooo good. They don't need and occasion, they are an occasion.
As a side note may I suggest that instead of wine alone, you try the same amount of 'Super Sauce' instead of wine. This sauce is a do it yourself creation made with equal portions of Balsamic Vinegar, Soy sauce, Worcestershire sauce and Honey or dark brown sugar _ put them all into a pan or microwave, warm it to combine and you are done. I make it up in batches using a half/cup of each and keep it in a squirt bottle. And no its not sweet, this stuff is an Umami explosion and is great in brown sauces, soups, stews, stir-fry, burgers, steaks, whatever. I make a second 'Hunan' version adding ginger, garlic and hot flakes that is just the thing for Mongolian BBQ and spicy stir fry.
