I made this before many times and I had made it the first time very similar to yours with extra added stuff little cream cheese and personally it didn’t taste right. All the times I have had them from authentic Asian restaurants I could taste the creamy cream cheese and hints of sweet crab. I do cream cheese and maybe 1/3 cup of crab cut super small, soy sauce, garlic seasoning, onion seasoning, and sugar (I don’t measure but I like to taste the sweetness)
Fortesque and Dividing Creek. Go down there Laura, when the tides are right, and you'll pull at least a half 5 gallon bucket of keepers. If you go to the second bridge you'll catch more, that's the trick. Most times you'll get a bucket to a bucket and a quarter. Don't get caught out there after dark, the mosquitos will eat you alive!! Bring 'em home, throw them on ice until they're paralyzed, clean them live, and into the big old bay pot they go! Mmmmm Mm

Pardon me but I'd like to answer your question. In my house we usually use the leftover oil for stir fry recipes. The oil can be saved in separate bottle and kept for few days for making stir fry, chili sauce, etc
To digress, I ate some dumplings that were the same shape in an Italian restaurant. It's about a decade ago and I've forgotten their name. Does anyone know what they're called?

When using an air fryer you can spray with low calorie cooking spray and it acts like oil by providing a lovely juicy exterior
