  • HOW TO UNBRAID A MONEY TREE 🌟 Let's do a fun project together! I want to separate my money tree plants and repot them to look more beautiful! 💜 Talking all about Pachira trees and then seeing if it's possible to separate the different stems into individual trees when the plant is already this large. Join me for an unconventional repotting session and let's chat about Money Trees! 🥰
    Also showing you some footage of the coolest fruit that Money trees make!! Did you know that they are edible and produce a nut that is harvested as a crop in some places?? 🥰🌟🪴🌿
    What do you like about Money Trees? What is the common name you use for this plant? It has many! Do you have any stories about your Money Tree bringing you financial good fortune? 🤗🌱✨
    I bought this money tree for only $37 so I feel like doing this project was a great deal too!

    Okay okay I have another little story too- right after I finished this repotting I got an email with the biggest sponsorship offer that I have ever received 😳💸🌿 WAS IT A COINCIDENCE OR WAS IT THE MONEY TREE’S MAGIC??✨ The email dinged into my inbox literally 4 minutes before I finished filming the video🤯 Lol this whole thing sounds like one of those old spam emails that tells you to forward it or you’ll have bad luck haha but it really happened so idk what to think 🥹 Has anything like this happened to you??💜
    Anyways I ended up turning down the sponsorship offer because I felt like the company’s practices were shady…but I feel like there’s maybe really something to the money tree bringing good monetary luck and wanted to share this story with you!! 😁💫✨💸💜 Financial blessings to you all! 🌿💰💸

It’s a blessing and I believe it could be the money tree too 😁. Start looking into those sponsors research them. Don’t miss out on your blessings. You even have me going to the stores picking up plants. lol!! Every time I watch you I get plant fever lol..

    Wow I REALLY like how both pots turned out. At the beginning of this video I noted to myself that I probably would never desire to own one again (it was one of my first plants, eventually declined)… but by the end of this video I was mentally searching my house for a window with enough light for one!

    Easily the best money tree houseplant video I've seen. I appreciate your thorough explanation on the background of plant, the fact that you know there's a difference in the two pachira species, how they grow in the wild, etc. So many plant videos totally glaze over or don't mention any of this important info. Congrats on your lovely new arrangements! The single in the white pot is magnificent!

    Got an 18" baby... 5 tightly braided trees, i forced it to unbraid. it had a really tight rootball that couldnt be separated so i left it alone. I was successful separating the baby trunks, & have been happy with how its acting now. It didnt seem to grow for a year after, but now is a thriving & much happier plant. Its not in a strangle hold with itself. Growing again. Its now almost 3" tall, & enjoying life. Yay!! 🤩

    When I bought my Money tree I chose the unbraided one, because I thought no one would want it, I have it for over a year now, it grew taller than me, and recently I repotted it and separated the three trunks, because I saw your first video on the Money tree ^^ I'm so happy I did it, looks so much better. Also thinking of cutting the top off the tallest one. Thanks for the inspiration! Greetings from Bulgaria

This was so interesting, I really appreciate how your videos give me new scientific insight on plants I would normally consider a little boring for being too “domesticated”. I have a money tree that I got second hand, it had lost 2 out of 3 stems already. the one stem I have was quite sad looking but has 3 branches. It has since not stopped growing and it did flower for me two or three times. the flowers didn´t look like much and made a big mess so I simply cut them off. It gets very bright light and has a relatively big pot. I live in denmark so weather isn´t the best normally, but it seems very happy. It´s already about my height (164cm) so I´m happy to hear that they propagate good, in case it ever gets too big. Mine also definitely has a front and a back, it´s flush against a wall and looks amazing from the front, but really weird from the back, but that´s how I want it, I´m also not much into rotating plant, I do it only with a few like calatheas/stromante.

      No I used to use a mix from a local shop in San Francisco that had a lot of bark and small porous rocks (but still no compost) but I haven’t been able to find anything comparable yet where I live now. Everything I’ve tried so far is so expensive or seems to smell bad when I water it so I have been just mostly using this coir and perlite combo, sometimes I’ve been adding in leca balls. I’m surprised how smalllll the root system is. Since it grows in moist areas should money trees be watered before they go dry?

    • @reallybigplant
      @reallybigplant  4 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Generally you don’t want them to be as dry as this one, it got a lot drier than I’d recommend 😅 However they don’t want to be constantly wet if they’re in a lower light situation, and if it’s in low light you should let it dry lightly between waterings. Even though they grow near/in water in nature, they don’t want to be in standing water or soggy soil for long when potted indoors. In nature the water flows and is constantly aerated, whereas it can get gross and stagnant in a houseplant container pretty quickly if it stays wet for long. Also my tree was super dry but still looking great, but I’ve killed money trees pretty quickly by overwatering so they definitely prefer it drier rather than wetter. Hope this helps, thanks for watching! 😊💜✨💕🌿

    I can't keep up with the various house plants that all are called "money trees" somewhere! In my country and language , we call crassula ovata, the jade plant a money tree. I'm sure there are couple of other plants too which I've seen in the international plant community to be called as money trees. That's why I don't like common names anymore in what comes to plants. They are so inaccurate. Nowadays I even recognize scientific names better than the common plant names in my language. So many times I find the common names to be a little stupid and degrading... For example, Peperomia obtusifolia is "an old woman's plant" and tradescantia " a gossip". Both of the names in Finnish are negatively loaded words and not like a sweet grandma or a little gossip. I don't want negativity around my plant hobby🙄🌱
