This is the fifth video I have watched, trying to find out how I cut my very leggy money tree back. Where do I cut? But nobody talks about trimming it back.
I’m in the exact same boat. I just inherited a neglected tree from a neighbor a few hours ago. What did you do? I just went hardcore and cut down about 2 of the 6 branches and will wait until those get some growth. Then I’ll cut 2 more, and then 2 more for however long it takes. In the meantime, each of the cut branches, I’ve stuck it into water hoping they’ll grow some roots (although it was so leggy, I had to chop 2 feet of stem just to fit into a large vase. Hopefully, this will work.
Ones with 7 leaves (on one leaf) which are super rare and hard to find, are most popular in the Asian culture. And those the ones the feel brings good luck and wealth. Love these my friend has one she’s had for 25+ years it’s SO big and beautiful.
New to your channel....the two videos that I have watched so far have dealt with two of plants that I have.... The Snake and Money Tree.. I found them to be very informative...doing a really great job. TY
I bought one in a local store. They had a bunch but one had torn leaves. I bought it because I knew it would just sit there forever, and the plants that stay in that store don't usually last long. I'm not sure if I should trim the torn leaves off entirely, just trim off the tears or just leave them as is.
Thank for all these great plant Care tips just wish I would have seen this month ago my money plant is died I don't think it's any hope 😂all leaves are gone
I have a money tree and 2 of the stems got really soft. They still do have some green leaves on it. Can you help suggest some ideas of what I can do for these 2 stems so I can save them. I’m new at plants.
I saw some money tree at my local supermarket. There were 3 left, two had brown spots on the leaves and so much dirt had fallen out you could almost see the roots. 1 looked better than the two but there were several broken stems. I didn't buy any fir fear of buying a plant that would soon die due to their conditions. What do you think? Could they be saved?
One of my leaves are yellow with brown spots, what does that mean. I have it sitting by the window ans it seems ok. I’ve had it for two week and I’ve only must it with water. I’ve been scared to water it but I’m sure it requires some by now. How much water to give when I bottom feed it?
Is it at all possible to continue to grow a money tree plant in water instead of soil once the roots begin to take after propagating it? Also, can you suggest a fertilizer?
I have this plant in my office and it is bright but it is not in front of the window. I do use a grow light BUT I have some leaves on the bottom that are getting some brown spots and I have a few leaves fall off that are completely dry. I bought a water meter and it says the plant is "wet" soil feels dry at the top. You think the browning is too much water?!
My money tree is growing brown spots on it’s leaves & the leaves are also falling off quickly. I don’t water it too much & it doesn’t get too much direct sunlight. I’ve noticed some of the smaller stems are starting to get soft, but the actual trunk is still really healthy. What does that mean & what can i do to help it from dropping too many leaves?

You mean like Topping it ? Where it don’t grow taller anymore? It just gets “bushier?

I truly appreciate this video. Thank you. In regards to cleaning the leaves, can I use neem oil?🤔 Thank you in advance.

Very nice 👍
Any tips for when the money trees leaves are curling under? (Still full green) is this a sign of needing more water?
How do we know when it's time to repot it? Mine came in tiny little nursery pot

And also check down by the roots to see if its tied together with rubber band or tape
What's the difference? Do they both harm the plant?
wow I was wondering I saw there's a green thine you tied around the three what was that and why you need to tie it
It’s likely a bread tie; they are used to hold the individual stems/trunks together when braiding.
In the winter, can you trim back Money Trees? My plant is very leggy. Because of that I would like to trim back my plant.
What if the leaves are curling?
Do you go ahead and remove the sunburned leaf or just leave it be since the rest of the leaf is still green?

My money tree leaves all fell off, and now only one stump has leaves. How do I get the rest to grow? Thanks in advance!
I need this too! 😢
Handsome guy 🥰
Mine got all spindly, tall thin stems how might I fix her?
how quickly does it grow?

Not enough water
Hi. Is this plant ok to bottom water making sure it only takes up what it needs? I’m afraid of getting the trunk wet.
It's perfectly okay to bottom-up water! That's how they're all watered in the nursery they're coming from :)
❤❤❤

same issue here for me - i asked same question and see you never got an answer so I better do more research.
Similar for me, and I’m not really finding straightforward answers. My money tree might have root rot but I’m not sure how to prevent it.
Can I put the money tree outside
I think you can but in the shade.
Makes an entire video but doesn't explain how to do the most obvious stapple of this plant: Braiding.
