This video clearly showed how poor that technology is. It is completely useless to be enthusiastic about it. And those special effects you presented - - full of crap. Did you supposedly use this particular technique in the video intro 0:09 and 0:10 in the examples? You certainly didn't think they had the slightest overflow in one direction or another. But when you later presented the adjustments to the program, nothing came close to perfect! But if that’s how you get your channel to succeed when you introduce unfinished technology, then congratulations to you. Personally, I don’t give much value to your enthusiasm if things are miserable.
An observation: Although having a green screen isnt necessary, having a reasonably consistant background [ie not cluttered and even lighting] is very helpful. Also, a subdued or darker background also helps. Lastly, a little hairlight or backlight on yourself also helps tremendously to separate yourself from the background. Look carefully on how Michael has lit himself for best results. Thanks Michael, excellent tutorial!
This would probably work pretty nice with a green screen too, If you have screen and you can’t get the green screen lite up perfectly with this filter combined it would probably cover up any spots in the green screen not perfect lite.
Played with it last night. Pretty much turned Contrast to .98 or 1 with the other settings really low. Allowed me to keep my chair visible and a mostly clean outline. Small enough you'd have to be looking to see. Really helped clean up the effect. Only time you can see it is on all black screens.

Great video but do check your task manager before and after applying the background removal. you might notice that the "CPU" section goes to 100%. What u can do is create a zoom meeting, rename yourself as "." , turn on ur camera and put a plain green virtual background there then minimize zoom then, in obs add a window capture to the popup that appears and use chroma key.
I followed your steps, and copy-pasted the plug-in files in the correct place, but OBS doesn't show them in the Audio/Video Filters Selection, any explanation?

Great video, liked the intro a ton with the editing :) Althou, it looks kinda janky at best and removes hand gestures most of the times and seems to consume a lot of CPU power on lower end systems(?). And you mentioned Plugins many times crashes, and that one wont... which you end up saying it will if you mess around with one specific option ;) But for ppl who have an NVidia GTX1000'series or RTX series card, you can get a way better looking "greenscreen" like you describe, within NVidia Broadcast, and it basically doesn't take away any of your performance as it uses the NVENC (afaik) processors in your GPU for streaming and such. It's still a little more janky looking than a real greenscreen, but also a great free alternative (if you count out the graphics card that most of streamers already own). Perhaps you can poke around with that as a video idea? (Version 1.3 just got released which improved it a ton from version 1.2)... and it also comes with RTX Voice which is removing bad noise and all (like, unbelievable how noise much it removes)
this being 2023 .. The plug in has gotten a lot better. Thanks for the video. I was using Xsplit... but the quality has been going down over the last few patches. Thanks again

What is/are your primary editing software/s? After Effects? or something else?
Adobe products.
But, I've already Liked and SUBSCRIBED before even watching 2 minutes!
Thanks!
Dude I love your enthusiasm! Subbing simply because of that.
Thanks
OMG Thank you so much for that tutorial
Glad to help!
Finding your streams inspiring and extremely helpful. Loving the dynamic edits and graphics
Hmm, for some reason 'Background Removal' doesn't appear in my drop down list.
yeah me too. any update after 1 month? did you find any solution to it? thanks!
@@allanfelizarte6311 It appears to be showing up now. Not sure why.
You energy and flair caught my attention, but you sold yourself at round the :57 seconds mark. You are doing everything right, Michael! Keep up the good work and sharing your expertise through these high quality videos!
I love your tutorials for OBS. I’d be lost without you.
Great tutorial. Straight to the point and easy to understand. Thanks!
Glad to help.
MAKE SURE YOUR OBS IS UPDATED TO VERSION 29. OTHERWISE THIS WON'T WORK!
Background removal wont load???
Good ole Feyrer! no matter what new channel I decide to make he's always handy on what ever I need! Love it! Keep kicking a** lol
THANK YOU SO MUCHHHHH!!! this help me for my competition aaaa
Glad to help.
Background color option no longer there.
When make all setup then press left click then press bending mode then select multiply and u will be shown only without background
my background removal tool won't show in obs and i followed him step by step
Great video, liked the intro a ton with the editing :)
Althou, it looks kinda janky at best and removes hand gestures most of the times and seems to consume a lot of CPU power on lower end systems(?). And you mentioned Plugins many times crashes, and that one wont... which you end up saying it will if you mess around with one specific option ;)
But for ppl who have an NVidia GTX1000'series or RTX series card, you can get a way better looking "greenscreen" like you describe, within NVidia Broadcast, and it basically doesn't take away any of your performance as it uses the NVENC (afaik) processors in your GPU for streaming and such.
Another option.
It's pretty scuffed but for a free program this is crazy, thank you so much!
your helping me out so much i just downloaded obs and didnt know anything lol im still learning slowly
Glad to help
literally clicked off the video as soon as you started talking about people not being subscribed
I guess you really didnt want to know the info then. :-)
no longer working i guess
this being 2023 .. The plug in has gotten a lot better. Thanks for the video.
I was using Xsplit... but the quality has been going down over the last few patches. Thanks again
Well done 👍 thanks for the great demonstration
OMG this guys has AMAZING editing! Oh btw you dropped this 👑
Thanks. Fantastic results. I have to confess that I did not expect such result. Hint: if the camera is closer it gives better results.
I'd say this is amazing for a free solution. I'd still probably opt for a small green screen.
You are SO awesome! Without your videos & instruction/walk-thru's I probly would have given up on OBS by now! 🙏Thank you!!!
you're the best dude! like seruously! I was trying to open background filters on Google Meet but my CPU would literally burn so i just figured out why not do it on a virtual camera
You help so much people, before watching this video, i never knew i could do that! You helped me save money! Ty
Man. You’re the best in live-streaming.

Thanks for the guide, it really helped out. Just need to work out some better lighting so i don't phase as hard. I never got the option to change the background colour though? No idea done enough stuff today that's a tomorrow thing.
