Your background is incredibly challenging, due to lighting. Chances are a well lit subject in front of a more uniform background should give much better results.
It doesn't work if I try to adjust it I have a panoramic camera which reaches 180 ° 6k so I don't know if that is messing it up

Super informative video! Could I still add this version of the facecam to a gameplay stream in OBS? Such as if I wanted to record my facecam and gameplay together would this work?
Thanks! I'm not sure I understood correctly but if you add this filter to your webcam, it will basically remove the background. You can then go ahead and add gameplay in the source below.
Does not work with the current OBS version (30.1.2 on Win11 64bit).
After plugins are added and I start OBS it crashes, then I start again and it offers to be opened in safe mode. There is no filter like that. In normal mode OBS crashes again.

try setting it to use CPU ? if you dont have a RTX GPU there might be issues, that was the case with a similar plugin
When I go in the dropdown menu it doesn't show me any background removal options. I am updated on the software.

i went to my nvidia background removal and right clicked that to get mine to pop up
I had the same issue, it's under Effects it should be the second option on the list.
For mac there is no option as background remover at all for the version 30

Okay so you'd copy the files and paste them into your obs folder n your computer. After doing that I had the same issue, to find the background filter it's under Effects it should be the second option on the list.
wouldnt let me open up obs after the install and even after i uninstalled the files it still wouldnt let me open obs. i am having to uninstall and redownload obs. whats worse is the file is still on my computer even after deleting it

Hi, in my case i dont have the option to change background color.
My background removel apear on effect filters but dont apear on audio/video filters.
Can you help me?
Not sure what exactly you mean. You don't need to change the background color as there's no background when you use the plugin. You can just put game capture/display capture or even a static image behind yourself to change your 'background'
I know what you mean! I saw that other tutorial where he turned the background green! I think that must have been an older version of the plugin. I can't find it anywhere either!

I am having the same issue even thou reinstall the app and i have installed the plugin as shown
I have downloaded the installer multiple times and also tried to do it manually. But when I open the filters tab there is no 'Background Removal' feature. What can i do?
Make sure you're installing it in the right location. Usually that's program files > obs studio. If you installed it somewhere else, then place it in that other location

Windows gives me a warning that it "protected my computer" when I tried to install this.
try to go past that warning. it only sees a plugin without certificate and denies it for safety of for example virus. obs plugins are not protected with such certificates because it is free open source. You can dismiss the warning and still go on with the installation.

no, you can't add any modifications to streamlabs. streamlabs is a fork of obs studio.
How does one use this for removing the background for say a webpage? I have tried to use my display source and then have messed with it but it just doesn'y pick anything up lol. Super new to this tho. Like I just downloaded OBS 35 minutes ago lmao.
Do you want to remove background of a photo or? I have videos on how to remove backgrounds from images if that's what you mean.
@@Agenterino specifically I wanna remove the background from the website monkeytype and then layer what’s happening on the webpage over some of my videos. But when I try to remove the background in any capacity it just gets rid of all it haha. Appreciate the reply!
@@RandomKeebs Why would you want to do that? You can always crop it in edit/OBS. You can also try changing the theme of the website to a very bright green and then masking it out
@@Agenterino I’ll try the green thing thanks. I wanted to remove it bc I didn’t wanna a giant blue box floating in the videos as opposed to just having the text on screen as it goes. In my opinion the videos where I’ve seen it done as an overlay it looks very clean and aesthetically pleasing.

you didnt explain how to add a picture behind you... after you cancel out the backdrop...
You literally just add an 'image' source and place it below your camera. That's it

Okay so install it. Goo to the folder just click on it and open it don't have to unzip, copy then open another file explorer if on windows, go to this pc > program files > obs studio > paste. If you have obs opened up you'll need to close it and reopen it.
After which right click on your webcam if it is added if not click add source add video capture device > right click > filter > Effects (this is located below Audio/video add ons) add background removal, should be the second option, click on advance settings. The defaults should be good if the effect is not applied switch from GPU to CPU. You can also adjust your feather blend silhouette.
