We don't eat the donut but drink a red wine every day at 4 pm , our King did that on his birthday , make a toast at four . Greetings from the Netherlands .
9 weeks is impressive. Lots of people have diet coke addictions so you're doing well. Love your humour, eye rolls🔄👀🔄, camera work and stories. Great video as always you guys.🌬⚓😎🇦🇺🐾
I too have a small Honda outboard. This is my first winter with it and have noticed condensation forming in the crankcase oil.I installed new thermostat and problem seems corrected. They do want a little warm-up time especially in winter.Cheers from Vancouver Island.
I always hope that one of these days that you'll pick up a single crab pot and just throw it off the back of the boat wherever you are to see what you get just for the fun of it. I personally am into fishing and couldn't stand not to be fishing out there but I understand if you're not fishermen You're going to head north it would make sense to me that you'd want to be able to fish and crab to help with the food supply as you head up the inner passage
Nice video! Well done, we realize these videos do not make themselves. We also enjoy the bays less traveled. We were driving this morning discussing how we enjoy the quite boating in the Apostle Islands WI where we slip. Here is a quote you two may enjoy. My my wife said it and it is perfect. "Listen to the Silence" . When this happens it always reminds us why we boat. We enjoy your channel. Take care. Borrow this quote as needed. More people should do this.
Love the scenic views, Exploring as you both do always shows the very best spot. Living aboard the boat suits you both. Keep crusing and enjoy every anchorage you travel to. Keep them coming , thank you for sharing
Live on the other side of the mountains now, but use to spend a lot of time in the inner harbor of Vashon Island. Pretty well protected. Easy to run over to the Tides Tavern in Gig Harbor from there. Quiet, but does have homes all along the shore
If you don’t have it. You guys might consider a fuel water separator for your outboard. I had one for my last outboard. It made such a huge difference. They are fine for both mixed and straight gasoline.
Did I see Shawn wipe that lovely cream on his face from the donut on a napkin...? Dude, longer tongue! I’d lick that off a grocery cart handle even during COVID-19. 😳
Elizabeth I also was addicted to Diet Coke for several years. When I stop about 10 years ago I was drinking a 2 liter Bottle a day. How it didn't rot my stomach out I don't know. I recently drank a can of diet coke and I loved it but I know myself so back to Water. Stay strong.
Too funny. We've stayed at the resort once and was bored to death. But good to know that it's an awesome anchorage spot. I love Matts Matts bay - reminds us of Port Madison. we'll have to check it out!
The Red one on the shore, you might have water in your tender fuel lines? Foam in the creek is natural byproduct of organics decaying. Lots of tannins in the water. Yes but you have new black water hoses and donuts!
New to your channel and I really enjoy it. John and I bought our first motor yacht last year. It's called a Marinette . We do love being on the water. We are on the East Coast at Lake Erie. The water gets pretty choppy here lol. The Coke habit I once had was replaced with Tea, Yes I'm weak but i'm also ok with that LOL
Love your video, I have a houseboat on a small lake in southern Illinois. Your adventures really makes our outings pretty lam. It is winter here and I am still looking forward to getting out on the lake. You guys are great, keep it up.
If you are having problems with the outboard starting/running - work it out with the bow of the dinghy pushing against the boat. If it doesn’t go - you have less to paddle (Don’t ask how I found that out. ;-) )
We spent a couple of nights in Port Ludlow last summer, were the sealions there? The wife and I were watching a movie and got distracted by noises off the stern, walked out and these two big sea lions were hunting all the fish that were attracted to our stern lights. It was really cool to watch.
We have a Coke Zero obsession in our house. Its been four weeks since we eliminated carbs, the results have been very good, a few more pounds to go and will be at our happy spot.
Thanks for another great Sunday morning MV Freedom video. My wife switched to Pellegrino when she gave up diet coke. I think for her it was more about the bubbles. We'll have to consider Port Ludlow after seeing it from your eyes. Have a great week.
Elizabeth...good for you for breaking the Diet Coke habit. I too was addicted to it. I found if you crave something other than water, squeeze lemons, limes, and grapefruit juice into a containers and store in the fridge. Pour a little bit of the flavor you want into a plastic bottle of water every once in a while...shake, and drink. I find that just putting a little flavor into the water makes the craving for Diet Coke go away. Cutting sugar out of your diet will also help as well...I have never been healthier, since cutting that stuff out of my life....My donut addiction is still work in progress.....I give my self a donut every six months, and I actually put it on a calendar...someday I hope to resolve that addiction permanently...:-)
I loved your opening expression at the beginning of the video! I cut out diet Coke for iced tea. Try it. Coffee in the morning and decaf occasionally in the evening. Great video as usual! Came back to edit my comment: laughed out loud to see Elizabeth's expression again. Too funny.
Another great video guys. They do have water on the fuel dock, but I suppose by the time you weigh anchor it's just as easy to head back to Shilshole. I keep hoping they will turn the quarry at the entrance to Mats Mats bay in to a (marine) park; maybe some day.
Good vid guys. I’m sure learning a lot about the ports of call in the Seattle area. I’m thinking it’s a bit more ‘exotic’ arriving by boat rather than car but, still interesting. My sister has your addition, Elizabeth. She’ll buy the larger 16 oz screw cap bottle and hit it thru-out the day. Good for you taking a break. We probably don’t exercise our will power as much as we should. Addictions come in all shapes and sizes and most aren’t great for us. Doesn’t mean you can’t have one on special occasions, right? 😉 Thanks for sharing. Life is good~
Somthing I do not understand. When I tried to like this 10 times, I saw 15 thumbs down🤔 (This is so stupid!) Your video's are great and you really present your trips in an awsome way! Very realistic! Thanks for doing this. It shows us places that we never heard of on our side of the world. Keep it up!
New subscriber here and I really enjoy watching your boating adventures. My fiancé is from the area and we just found out we are going to be moving to Seattle in July so looking forward to seeing more of his family and enjoying the area.
Coke Zero Addict here. I used to drink 3-5 Reg Coke's/day - stopped that, cold turkey, with great difficulty, then found Zero and managed to convince myself I am moving fwd. Next is no more soda, period.
You should have gone ahead and finished the old saying. First a boat then an RV next a Rest home before the ultimate funeral home. Love the scenery. Keep enjoying with your youthful spirit. Glad you saved the calories from that Diet Coke to enjoy the donut guilt free.
My aunt lived in Port Ludlow and they liked the fact it got half the rain of Seattle due to the rain shade of the Olympic Mountain range. Did they have any live aboard slips in their marina? Elizabeth you know he can see the face you made at him, right. We have VooDoo doughnuts south of you, are they up there?
Saw you floating out there. Wanted to motor out to say hi but was too lazy to ready the dinghy. We moved from living aboard at Shilshole to Port Ludlow a couple of years ago and never looked back. Kind of cool to see our boat in your video. Maybe we will see you here again sometime.
We were in Cabo (family condos) and I was sitting by the pool speaking with and older Gentleman who we know from Victoria...he told me "Steve, Life is short...eat your dessert first". He died the next year. I guess he was right...so, enjoy your donut and don't sweat the small stuff. Be Safe, Be Well.
Great video as always Sean and Elizabeth. A great app for finding trailers and knowing exactly where you are is AllTrails. You likely already have it but if not, give it a try.
Hey guys. Love your videos. But I was wondering, have you ever considered some content featuring regular day to day operations? Like how to pick a good spot to anchor, how to tie up the boat in a slip, daily checks before starting the engine...etc?
Good afternoon Elizabeth & Shawn, Port Ludlow really does look peaceful and serene ! The waterfall was very nice and the drone footage was superb as usual. The weather looked really nice and glad you were able to hit the trails. Here in central Florida it's 77 degrees today, but we have had cooler temps at night. I surely hope one day you might consider relocating to Florida ( east or west coast ) as there are so many places to explore, plus the Bahama's chain. Enjoy your Sunday and take care of each other !!
Well, it is a year and a half since you made the Port Ludlow trip that I just watched. I was there about 6 months ago to look at the green and white tug in your video, the "Island Ranger", that was for sale. Port Ludlow is a nice quiet harbor. My guess is that you went to Poulsbo on Liberty Bay to get donuts at that bakery in town.
Haha! It is almost 10 years now without Diet Coke. I used to have at least one and sometimes 2 or 3 per day. Finally, on a trip to Barcelona in 2011, I got food poisoning and could not eat or drink anything for a couple of days. During this episode, drinking Diet Coke sounded bad. Saw Shawn with a Nordhavn mask, I want one! I’ll have to hit up Devin here in Anacortes. We’ve been Nordhavn Dreamers, pretty much since it was first started. We know we’ll never actually get one, so our second dream has been an Airstream - Yahoo! We actually just bought a 27ft Airstream yesterday, new adventures coming soon! Then a little later, we see you with a Flamingo mask, which is an (unofficial) Airstream logo/mascot! Now we need one of those too! I do have a Nordhavn hat, license plate frame (on our Ford F-250 tow vehicle), and a Nordhavn welcome mat for our Airstream too.
If you are ever down the coast in California, put into Halfmoon Bay and go to "Cosmic Charlie's" .. he has THE Best Cinnamon Rolls. Love your videos. Thanks for sharing.
I had an addiction to Diet Coke. I would drink six a day, I'm so glad I quit. Its better to feel good and treat your body well, then give in to unhealthy habits. I'm proud of you, I know how hard it is.
I’m addicted to Mt Dew. I quiet for three years. Now I’m trying also to stop. I had a month under by belt. Now I need to do it again. I would to know where that awesome donut shop is for my hubby
It’s Sluy’s in Poulsbo! And I also quit the cola for about a year and fell of the wagon this summer which makes it feel even worse. Oh well, baby steps 👍
I’m living vicariously through you right now
My weekly dose of Elizabeth's amazing eyes
It's amazing watching your videos in my vr headset. But I like to see more of you to driving the boat then walking on land. This is one main reason why I watch your videos thanks.
I agree!! Port Ludlow is one of my most favorite places to cruise to. S/V Aeolus
Whoever is doing the flying is doing an impressive job.
Agree! Drone following dinghy was well done. #boatvideogoals 😊
Peaceful is always better than the madness of city and towns. This place looks wonderful and restful.
We agree!! 👍
Great, as always! Wouldn't be Sunday without an MV Freedom video.
And the Oscar for best dog in a supporting role goes to...Mr. Sully!
We don't eat the donut but drink a red wine every day at 4 pm , our King did that on his birthday , make a toast at four . Greetings from the Netherlands .

Yes Elizabeth- my husband and I are both totally addicted to Diet Coke! I really enjoyed today’s hike. Beautiful scenery 😊
Tony & Susan here, Three weeks today no sugar for us.
Wow that’s impressive, keep it up!!!
Love waking up to glassy water and tooling around in it. Nice drone work.
When you leave the back door open , do you get seals ? That mic was like Mrs. Wiggins on the Carol Bernett show. Thank you guys always
Love the scenic views, Exploring as you both do always shows the very best spot. Living aboard the boat suits you both. Keep crusing and enjoy every anchorage you travel to. Keep them coming , thank you for sharing

You two are just magic!
I don't have a diet coke addition .. I can quit any time I choose .. I just choose not to (said as I take a sip) .. lol 🤣😂
Ok let's give it up for the best doughnuts...
Hilarious, Port Ludlow is right up the road from me. I'm down in Port Gamble. Sluys Bakery in Poulsbo are the best in WA state.
good on you, Elizabeth!!!! Well done... it feels so MUCH better to cut out soda. New Year, New Donut!
Hi MV! I have wonderful memories of visiting Port Ludlow (by boat) with my dad in the 60’s when they were putting in the resort, golf course,
I'm with you on 'Eat the doughnuts', you can always take a half-hearted run after that to (mentally) get rid of them...
Too funny. We've stayed at the resort once and was bored to death. But good to know that it's an awesome anchorage spot. I love Matts Matts bay - reminds us of Port Madison. we'll have to check it out!
Ha, when we first visited we also wondered what on earth you’d do if you stayed at the Inn!
The Red one on the shore, you might have water in your tender fuel lines? Foam in the creek is natural byproduct of organics decaying. Lots of tannins in the water. Yes but you have new black water hoses and donuts!
At 1:55 look like something surfaced near the boat. Or just a buoy. Wonderful anchorage.
Not sure but there was a very small mooring ball submerged nearby.

I’ve been assisted greatly by Spindrift sparkling soda when I get the Diet Coke urge, but Pellegrino is good to have on hand too 👍
Love watching your big beautiful brown EYE'S!

When you went wide eyed in the opening clip I just lost it. Excellent.
Edit... Diet Pepsi.
And you repeated the wide eyes at the end. LOL.
Best donuts? Sluys Poulsbo or the dock at Roche Harbor
As always great video and narration, but i have to ask, why could you not get water at the fuel dock five minutes away?
We could but after a week we decided on a new port 😉
When is your next haul out? I'd love to see an episode or two that cover the technical side of a haul inspection.
Possibly early summer but we might push it to late summer.

Happy New Year! Where did you get the music for this video? I found it very sonically pleasing..
It’s from Epidemic Sound, link in the description 👍
Great job on the diet cola. My addiction is Diet Mountain Dew. Like you, I have been diet soda free (and caffeine free) for about 8 weeks.

Finally, on a trip to Barcelona in 2011, I got food poisoning and could not eat or drink anything for a couple of days. During this episode, drinking Diet Coke sounded bad. I took this as an opportunity and swore off the DC. Hope you are still doing well today.
Sluy's in Poulsbo. I have shoved that exact snack in my face many times lol
Viking cups!
Get both...I have RV and Yacht...when I get tired of land I go to water and so on so forth:)
That sounds great, only problem is then we’d have to be tied to land finding a place to keep the RV.
@@mvfreedom many storage facilities for Rvs :) cheaper than storing boat in most places.
