    6:02 And I have all that cylinders for boolean showed up, great. Should I apply the boolean modifier to fix that?
    edit: nvm, figured it out. Those cylinders need to be disabled, not hidden

    nice geometry nodes tutorial 👍two array modifiers would definitely been easier for the shelves than going to all that trouble but I get that it was just for tutorial purposes

    • @KevBinge
      @KevBinge  ปีที่แล้ว +4

      Pretty much. As it stands, there’s not much you’d need geometry nodes for that stacks of modifiers could t handle, save maybe raycasting and some vector math magic, etc…. This just gets one in the mindset of building systems in a new interface.

    It says 2 weeks and since I'm a structural engineer... nope. Not going to tell trade secrets about angle iron (especially the super secret 3 sided channel angle iron with holes) - now do a search for warehouse stacks collapse for geometry simulation nodes - should use the doubled 4 sided angle iron with holes for stability. Keep those random valued pallets light. PS love using mylar balloons instead of columns

    • @KevBinge
      @KevBinge  ปีที่แล้ว +3

      At least I got angle iron somewhat right lol. Thanks 😁😁

    In the beginning was the cube. Although the knowledge of the cube's creator was lost for thousands of years until it found it's home on a planet called earth. I am Optimus prime and I let Kev have this one. Great job Kev on this tutorial.

    ...I have to confess I am simply not a fan of the final render because of the focus
    ...as in the deep section is waaaaay too blurry.
    Why? It causes me to believe you are hiding something that would have come up had the depth of field been deeper.
    It would look much more realistic if more of what is in the frame were in focus.

    • @KevBinge
      @KevBinge  ปีที่แล้ว +7

      It’s just noisy back there and I didn’t want to have it take longer to render (more samples.) I need my machine for other purposes at the moment. The point of the video is the setup, the render was just a “nice to have” on this one.

    That you think a box is just a cube is so 2025. And I'm going to be stealing "that's so 2025" from you because I am never more ahead of the curve than when I copy someone.
    Also, as a man affecting comic book store guy voice, I, sir, shall not deign to correct you.
    ----------------
    Do more, this was great. Love the style but when the pacing picked up, the time lapse and interface size made it hard to see.

    • @KevBinge
      @KevBinge  ปีที่แล้ว

      Thanks. I’m always struggling with showing small areas vs. timing lol.

    • @NotSoMuchFrankly
      @NotSoMuchFrankly ปีที่แล้ว

      @@KevBinge TY. You could try Ctrl+MM up&down to quickly zoom in and out of any work area and IDK abt timing b/c time lapse uses drop frame but at work, when I had to train people on our software, I'd circle the mouse around what I was talking about while I was talking. If it doesn't work for you🤷‍♂
