Chemical guys is a consumer product, it's not a professional line of products. They do have some great products but if you are looking for pro results you have to use products that can match your skill, I've noticed most detailers outgrow their products within a year or so.
yes! truth be told i actually grew out of chemical guys some time ago now but im good friends with the owner of the detail garage franchise in my area and he gives me as a veteran 20% off so it was ok to keep buying for a while but since i’ll be relocating to dallas soon it’s a good time for me to finally say goodbye. there is some stuff i still really like like the soaps and even some of their quick detailers but they’re far too pricey for someone who isn’t handed a 20% discount all the time and sometimes even then

JoelDetailing will not steer you wrong been watching this guy on TH-cam for 5 months and tried out a few things he has recommended and he has be right everytime.
I rode the Chemical Guys train when I first started but thankfully I had some vet detailers let me know that CG is just a giant detailing marketing machine. They're great for the guy who needs to run to Walmart and find a quick product for a Sunday wash. As a professional detailer everything that I had from CG, with the exception of VRP which is fantastic, has been replaced by something pro detailers use. You can easily find better for equal or less money.

i can somewhat agree with you, if you know nothing then their videos will help get you started. but once you’ve learned the bare minimum basics, it’s time to move on cause they’ll start teaching you things you don’t need to know or teaching the same thing different ways. there’s lots of great detailing teaching channels out there you just gotta find what’s best for you!
I love how they introduce several products with the same ingredients to have a different purpose
What products do you recommend for interior cleaning?
I was just about to buy CG MAX COAT WHEEL GUARD RIM SEALANT to protect my polished alum wheels. Is it any good? Any suggestions of alternatives? Thanks
Excluding paint correction, chemical guys does everything you need for an interior/exterior full detail.
they do it, just not well.
I'm a certified detailer and I agree with that. Good everything except for Paint correction. Stay away from that it's too hazy AND something happened in a Lot of paints, few of them work fine😂, but most of the Time dont.
What foam cannon wash would you recommend for a weekend car enthusiasts with ceramic coat on his vehicles?

In my opinion the best product brands are koch chemie, carbon collective and carpro. Yes they are expensive but these products will definitely get the job done

Just struggled getting light swirls out of a Benz yesterday with CG’s polish and it just wasnt doing. Definitely looking into better options

Also, remember back in the day it was a product out called liquid Ebony. And this stuff was for removing swirl marks, and it lived up to its name. You could glaze the hood and literally see the shine of your teeth in it. One fine product. I have no idea if it’s available anymore. Because it works so well the EPA probably shut it down.
Mat Renew and the Hyper Coat Dressing for tires!!! Oh and Butter Wet Wax! Oh and the pump sprayer! Oh and their buckets!!! They’ve stayed in my garage for a long time now! I do stay away from some, I get it. Also, Meguiar’s is my go-to for compounding. Haven’t used the machine polishers from CM.
don’t. i made the mistake of buying not one but two of their polishers, once i went back to get real polishers, i looked at what i spent back them
on the torq and was so angry seeings how they’re priced at a very professional level yet they work like chump polishers. professional price for one time use quality. very disappointed. and i’ve also been very very disappointed in the longevity of butter wet wax. stuff went in my trash when i got the second complaint of no longevity from a client of mine. i’ve had to do a lot of free jobs for my clients re-coating cars after making the mistake with chemical guys stuff
I'm a retread from the 1970s era my first experience with Chemical Guys was not a good experience. Their website locked up on me And I had a hard time. I contacted customer service and they were worthless my order went in a week ago and I still have not received a shipping notice I buy a lot of products all over the country and I have never seen such poor customer care

yes, because it doesn't live up to advertised quality. you're entitled to your opinion entirely, but imagine this for instance, you purchase lets say a rechargeable battery lantern to go camping, it advertises a 7-hour run time at full power, so you do some testing, you find that while following all instructions possible, using the cord it came with to charge it, and storing it properly, it doesn't even make it 2 hours before it dies. now you spent a lot of money on this because of a very serious marketing point of 7 hours, you've already used it, the box is opened, would you seek to return it? maybe not, but my main goal was to bring awareness to other detailers on its quality AND that i was able to substantiate my claims, reported it to the company, and they seemingly didnt care. youre entitled to do with that information as you wish, but holding them accountable is the main goal. i could care less about the money itself, i simply just wanted to replace them with more quality products that actually work properly.
I am with you on that first time I used it, it made some marks on my car.

that’s one of the worst things i’ve used from them, literally would rather use hand soap from my bathroom sink to clean wheels

I disagree with the comments stating some exceptions where a chemical guys product is a consumer based product snd not for professional, bruh if a pro detailer cant get proper results how can an inexperienced consumer get an improvement? There are so many affordable professional products (or consumer line products that is manufactured by pros like Meguiars) you can buy for the price of CG or cheaper and it works like a charm
yes i agree, i’ve seen plenty of videos where much more experienced detailers than myself still can’t get chemical guys polishing products to work right, i finally realized all that putting myself down for not being good wasn’t because it was me, it was the products. it’s somewhat shameful that they sell this stuff for the same price as meguiars when i can use them professionally but can’t even use chemical guys stuff to make a decent outcome at all. really disappointing and one of the main reasons i discourage buying them. but i understand why people are saying they’re consumer grade, i guess they could potentially get a decent outcome off of a heavily oxidized car sitting around for 20 years but not a new car that just has swirls

they’re all a bit different. I know the C4 uses fillers, idk about the others… i’d assume so. so stick with meguiars
Non-professional, here. I've been using Meguiar’s Ultimate product line for my car, by hand with a bag of brand-new microfiber towels. I had seriously impressive results doing the whole car, several times over, just by hand.
Just bought a chemical guys torq DA polisher with their products as a kit, so I can do my mother's new car.
I guess I should stick with the Meguiar's stuff still in my garage.. Ultimate Compound/Polish/Wax.
yes, the polisher will be fine i guess, a polisher is a polisher, id recommend getting a nicer one but whatever just take your time, if you have a good compound just get some good pads (lake country HDO orange polishing and lambswool cutting) and a good pad and compound will do the work for you where as with products like these you’ll be fighting it the whole time and get inconsistent flawed results
would highly recommend looking into the sonax line along with the rupes line of compounds and pads
I work at a Detail Garage for the time being. TBH there are some products that are a Yes, and some that are a NO.
What I use for my business is detailed below.
>Car Soaps: HydroSuds, Sticky Snowball+++, Honeydew.
>Detail Sprays: Lucent Spray Shine (Anti-static Synthetic Wax. Can be used as drying aide or as a quick detail/monthly wax) , Extreme Slick Synthetic Quick Detailer (Can also be used as clay luber), Hydro Speed Ceramic Quick Detail.
>Wheel Cleaners/Degreasers: All Clean+ All Purpose Cleaner/Degreaser (One 16oz diluted makes 1 gallon***)
>Interior Care: Total Interior, Nonsense All Purpose Cleaner+++ (After I leave, I will always purchase nonsense. Dilutable and works on interior plastics, vinyl, rubber floor mats, door sills, exterior trim before dressing application, tire cleaner, wheel cleaner, engine bay degreaser, and mild stain remover)
>Leather Care: Spray Leather, Leather Quick Detail
>Towels: Wooly Mammoth Drying Towel, Two-Face detail towel, El Gordo towels, Sasquatch mini drying towel.
>Tire/Trim dressings: Black on Black+++, G6 Hypercoat+++ (water based no-sling on all interior/exterior plastics and tires) Blue Guard (Oil Based Trim and Tire shine), V.R.P. (interior/exterior/tires) , Natural Shine (interior/exterior/tires)
>Ceramic Coats/Wax: Carbon Force 5 year ceramic coat, HydroSlick Ceramic Wax, V07 Carnauba Wax.
>Polish/Compounds: V34, V4 (Polish and Sealant)
***Last but not least, PLEASE PURCHASE RINSE FREE!!! Dilute 128:1 for: Clay luber, Waterless wash, Detail Spray, Interior plastic quick detail, Door jamb cleaner, Wheel quick detailer, Plastic trim cleaner before dressing application, WINDOW CLEANER, and finally, Pre-Wash to knock off soft dirt before a snow foam blast from pressure washers. PLEASE get this. One 16oz will make around 40-50 gallons diluted. Get Rinse Free ASAP***

shine supply’s tire dressing is the best i’ve ever used i don’t remember the name of it but you go to their site it’s like their main one

How long have you been detailing for
professionally as a business, about a year. i’ve been in the trade since i was a young kid however as my father was a showroom detailer for a long time. started taking learning about it seriously around maybe 16, joined the army kinda took a break still did some of my friends and buddy’s cars throughout those years and since i’ve been back i’ve been detailing!

I have the same problem with the v34 I do auto body and have been for 10 years. Paint work specifically that includes buffing and polishing. I get great results. I used v37 and it didn’t remove scratches or swirls at all
agreed, itll do fine to restore completely faded paint to an OK quality, but if you are searching for precision like myself, this is not the avenue to choose unfortunately.
Can't believe I stumbled across this video. I also bought into the hype and now I'm just done with them. They have way too many products that do the exact same thing.
The reason why I stuck with them for so long was convenience. The shop is literally a few blocks away from my house. I recently discovered that there is a 3D shop in my area and have been there twice. The only thing that sucks is they are closed on the weekends.

3D was terrible in my experiences. Their products were horrendous quality. The only product of theirs that I used with success was BDX wheel and brake cleaner.
They had a store here in Miami, went out of business fairly quickly.

Chemical guys confused the f*** out of me when trying to get into the industry. So many products that do the same exact thing with a different label. Makes it way too complicated for no reason, and has average results

@@every_thing_wood1251 some of their stuff isn’t bad, i wouldn’t ever become a griots die hard, their professional line and their polishers and compounds are pretty good for entry/semiprofessional. but i wouldn’t blindly pick up the griots stuff from the auto parts stores. look online for their professional products. that’s the stuff you’ll want

I remember back in high school actually spending time in a real body shop. Watching the pros go out with the Rotary‘s. They have six or seven different products use for cutting polishing compound and everything. I do believe it was Maguires. When I inquired as to where they got them, they gave me the name of the place. Which is an actual autobody supply house. So I went down there one day, but a few things bought some new pads for my rotary and practice on my parents car. I am in no to this date if the professional supply house is even open. There’s been a lot of changes in Orlando. I do use a lot of Chemical Guys stuff, and so far I’ve not had any problem with them returning something that breaks in the field. They were more than good about that but you do have to stay on them. I’ve tried a lot of washes and waxes which I like. I haven’t tried anything for cutting or hard-core polishing as of yet. Still looking at what else is out there
The only must have from CG is the "Stripper Scent" airfreshner.

I like cg soap buy gal size when it’s on sale. Always had good luck with 3d one and some lake country pads are my go to! Give it a try gave me great results on my wife’s black suv

I have been using optimum polymer technologies blue car wash and then the turtle wax hybrid solutions line for interior cleaning with great results.. 👍
I have an opticoat pro plus ceramic coating which is 👌 unreal and use leaf blower to dry ...no swirls.

Never experienced their compound kits to have ill effect. Was taught that applying more then enough conditioner is key. also doing 1 step, or a 2 or 3.
Sorry to hear about the experience with CG i have been detailing with Megs Pro product range for 10 years now and have never had a ounce of s#$t with the brand Megs Pro compounds,polishes waxes and sealants are great.
i love meguiars. i honestly think they get a bad wrap cause what people know about them is what’s sold in common stores which is bottom of the barrel for them in most cases and even they’re still really good stuff it’s just consumer level. to this day meguiars makes some of the very best microfiber cutting and polishing pads and their professional compounds are some of the best stuff money can buy these days. they really are “that guy”

I second that on CG products . I brought the same ones as you. They suck . The only things that aren’t to bad is there soaps . But you can get Meg at a better price point and better product. Thanks for the video.

I'm not a professional, but I do have show car that has won a few awards, so I'm not a novice, when it comes to compounds, polishes, and protectants, you can't go wrong with the higher end Turtle Wax lines (anything not in a bright green bottle). CG is good for up-keep products, like waterless washes and maybe some quick detailers, their air fresheners aren't bad, and their tools are decent too (rags, applicators, brushes) but for things like cleaners and compounds they have 100 products that do the same thing with different smells and just kinda fall short. You don't need 6 different compounds, with 8 different pads to get good results. You need a heavy compound, a light compound, and a polish; with a fine, medium, and coarse pad that's it. Anything else is out of paint correction territory.
i completely agree. i have used turtle wax’s professional line, dealerships and high volume dealers tend to like to use it cause it’s what they know, having used them they’re really not bad it’s just personal preference for me. i prefer to use a more professional quality set of compounds just for time spending, the TW is great but it takes time to work it in where as some of the stuff i use like wizards and 3D and even rupes own compounds cut so fast and leave a very nice finish that really only needs a quick fine polish and its good to go in most cases. but yes chemical guys has fallen off the mark and lost the trust of professionals a long time ago and for me enough was enough i wanted to give them so many chances but i had to call it quits
That's correct TW hybrid Solutions AND other way better things, but CG Is fine on a few things. Fancy stuff but not for Paint correction. I still have a few bottles of CG V32, V34 AND V36 AND that bottles are waste of money, right Now I'm using Meguiars.
@@DreamstoRealLife Meguiars in the tan bottle is really the gold standard for liquid compounds. It just works, period.

Gyeon and Car Pro are the best for a person like you. Polish Angel line of products is the best there is, but too expensive for commercial use.
Same issue here, their compounds and polishes just flat out suck, I got three bottles that I just need to throw away because I’ll never use them again,
I detail as a hobby for myself, and for friends/family. I purchased a lot of Chemical Guys products, but was never happy with the quality or results of their compounds/polishes/waxes. Seemed like there was zero cut or gloss added by the 34/36. Switched to Meguiars 105/205 and was finally able to get some work done.
the 110/105 and 210/205 are great products but be careful they like to dust and while they work fantastic it’s some of the only compounds i’ve found i can burn paint with on a DA. better to over lube than under lube, just keep a water spray bottle or some sort of lubricant on hand when using that stuff if you’re really gonna work it.
I could finish watching if I could get over you sitting there eating and drinking trashing another company.

Great review. I've tried Chem Guys too but found better products. Love tecnicians choice ceramic detail spray or their g-max graphene detailer. Great products and very inexpensive. I also like Griots and extreme solutions.
I’m kind of concerned after seeing this. I just spent $50 at Costco for a Chemical Guys bucket which contained wheel cleaner, interior cleaner, car shampoo, three microfiber cloths, a wash mitt, and a bucket with a dirt trap insert. I haven’t used it yet, so should I return it? Is all that worth the money? I’m new to the car detailing community and don’t know much. (Btw the wheel and interior cleaner are 16 ounces, while the shampoo is 64 ounces.)
don't be concerned - the stuff will still work. if something isn't up to par then replace it but don't throw what you have just because you saw a bad review. get best results you can from what you have and replace as and when you need it. certain things still work great from them although there are -better/cheaper alternative. maybe try different brand once you use it up and make comparison yourself. as a beginner get detailing and once you find your legs just see what works best for you?

I have 20+ years as a professional painter. I have buffed many cars. I made a couple passes with their C4 paint correction compound and then it went straight to the trash can. Loaded in filler.
I started at Parkwood Central, Chev-Olds-Cadillac, in 1963. I am a licensed automotive mechanic/motorcycle/
auto body repair technician. I do hold provincial red seals for all 3 trades. I have found that most people feel comfortable with the products they are used to, and they don't like to change. I've used this product several times, and I really can't say whether it's better or worse than another, but it works just fine if you follow the directions and use common sense. There is unfortunately no substitute for practice and experience. I will say, I find it very difficult to have any respect for a young man who sits and reviews another man's products while talking with his mouth full. Absolute nonsense. I noticed that this channel hasn't been uploaded to for a year, so I guess maybe other people felt the same way. If there are other reasons then I apologize. It's disgraceful to see young people with no respect for the trade and no respect for themselves. A grumpy old tradesman.
Meguire's all the way for cutting. And for 3D one step for one step paint correction. The best results ever!!!
This is the way U cut with Meguiars and finish up with what your most comfortable with. I use 3m or Chemical guys only the last step to avoid messy clean up. I made sure to check just to see if some one said this. Glad I did now I know I'm not the only one. Who does it this way. Good shit.
I used the honeydew snow foam, thats all they got worth using.

I’ve been detailing for 8 years. I’ll never use Chemicals Guys unless it’s the VRP. The chemicals are ineffective and not cost effective 🚫

that’s some petty stuff right there for sure. i will say the real detailing community is not like that. i’ve found that almost universally, the detailing community as a whole will lift others up and support them, whether it’s a guy who’s been detailing for 20 years with 5 mobile crews and two shops, someone on the same level as me, or a guy doing it out of his car who started last week, they all tend to be very supportive and we share our knowledge collectively and i’ve never had anyone take offense to what products and practices i or someone else uses, the best stuff is whatever works for you and your business. it’s the correct answer but it’s not the one a lot of people want to hear when they ask it.
I use Malco and Auto Magic. Both distributors have trucks packed full of good stuff.

Ya know man, this is a fair argument, i too share the same experiences as you did. Their customer service is really hit or miss, but their products are WAY too diluted because they are designed for consumers, beginners, and non car people. Since you are a business focused detailer, you will soon realize some or if not MOST of their products are not valuable and just dont work on every vehicle. You will get clients that have clean cars and yes, CG will work on those cars, but the cold truth is that some clients have some of the worst jobs offered and using a brand primarily for beginners wont cut it (quiet literally).

I only just started recently getting into vehicle detailing. Amazon had a bunch of chemical guys stuff 30% off, so I picked some up, but not before I watched your video. So I made to sure to not go too crazy, and I made sure to read plenty of reviews. I ordered one of their torq10fx DA polishers with the V line samples. And I bought a clay bar kit and some pad conditioner. That's it. I also got some boar hair brushes, but went with another brand. Great reviews and I get 3 for the price of one CG boar hair brush. Thanks for the heads up on CG products. I'll make sure to compare prices and customer reviews before diving in too deep.

reccomend replacing those cutting and polishing products as soon as humanly possible with meguiars 105 or 110 (i prefer 105, dusts less) and 210 polish. stuff works great and you’ll get mad at chemical guys stuff. again i recommend you stay away, soaps are whatever, their dressings i’ve come to realize are kinda shit. watch my other video upgrading my polishing game to check out the pads i use. also highly recommend cause the torq pads are straight up garbage

i'm about to drop CG too although there the closest
400 miles detail supply , so i ordered it online and they dont ship it tell 4 days after i place the orders, other then going to walmart or auto parts stores. I also go to Detail King which is out of pittsburg and their customer service is way better and faster.
do yourself a favor if you want to cut costs, you’re in pittsburg so order from “Detailed Image” If you go to detailedimage.com they’re based out of albany and being in CT i get my stuff literally the next day if i order early in the day. If you’re running a business too they offer a wholesale account where damn near everything is 20% off. you’ll have to look around and get a feel for the site but even without the discount trust me you’ll be MUCH better off. and check out my other video “Upgrading my Paint Correction Game” to see some of the stuff i ordered from them. those lake country pads especially the HDO Orange foam pads are the single best polishing pad on the market hands down
detailed image sells chemical guys stuff tho. DO NOT BUY IT. they’ve been trying to get it off their site cause it makes them look unprofessional but people keep buying it from them
I just started and I used some other chemicals but now I’m switching to Adams and p and s I’ve only used chemical guys for their scents
do yourself a favor, save some money and check out detailedimage.com. they are fantastic a huge supplier in everything GOOD from all different kinds of manufacturers. shine supply, maxshine, 3D, and meguires are also all good stuff (only cause they don’t offer a lot of those brands on the site, but lots of very good companies are on detailedimage) hope this helps.
I have tried a couple of their products and have not had good luck. If I am going to buy from that tier I definitely prefer Adam's, but their non-chemical products like brushes and swirl lights are terrible. I prefer CarPro and Sonax, you pay a little more but it lasts a long time.
yeah the swirl light i have from them is ass, i use it as a flashlight for nighttime snacks now lmao
That haze that you get with those compounds is rhe same thing I got with those products. Im CG detailer and i preffer Megs, I dont know why those CG products create that haze and its not funny to remove. Not all the car paint does that, but well megs works bettee for me. Thats my point of view, i have more than 4 years as a detailer.
Also I use a Lot of CG products like 50 or 60% of muy arsenal.
Some stuff they have are really great and worth it and other products are extremely expensive. I think their best product is the hard water remover, that stuff works against the worse hard water spots. Their ceramics are nice too. Mostly everything else is expensive and bottles are small
i’ve come to learn their ceramics are a bunch of garbage. even hydrocharge that i say is good in this video, theyre full on spray ceramic, couldn’t handle a months worth of sitting outdoors and maybe 4 times the wipers had to be run in the rain. windshield only in the wiper area is completely free of any coating, and hydrocharge was the only coating i put on it prepped and applied proper. stuff is honestly a joke.
The water spot remover is sulphuric acid. I have done a lot of testing with this product and proved that it damages glass surfaces. Most types of glass the damage is invisible to the naked eye. It will destroy surface tints though. But if you have had good results on paint then that’s great
I only have a handful of product I use from Chemical Guys. I have done enough details to figure out from across all the companies to have a complete detail jobs..
First off, I think you made some valid points about the product in question, but found it got lost in your laidback approach for the video presentation. Eating and drink while giving a review, just cause a lot of distraction for the message you were trying to put out, but to each their own. 40 some years ago, a friend from the local garage told me to never get brand dependent for washing/waxing and cleaning cars. What is hot today, will be replaced tomorrow by something better, or a different brand. Myself I have a few CG products I like, but that is just me. We all need to decide what we like to use, and what is hype. Myself I use simoniz and turtle wax products, but also use other brands as well. Any way you look at it, you will not know if something works till you try it. In the past I loved Armour all, but I also use other products for interior and tires. Also, it depends on what you are looking for in an end result, and if you are a weekend warrior or full wash and detail person and buy based on that. One last thing. I had an issue with a different company this year, and they did refund me, but still have not yet told me why I had issues with their new formula.

Yes i agree very much with your stance on the video presentation, im still getting my foot off the ground and i truly never expected to warrant this much attention and this many views from this video, i’ve since started to take my presentation a bit more seriously in my videos. everyone starts somewhere lol. this channel really started as a way to keep my friends and family informed and up to speed on what’s going on in my life and in my business. never did i think i’d be a “youtuber”. still i have doubts, but here i am doing it chugging along.
as for the second half of your comment i totally agree couldn’t have said it better myself., and about that refund, i never was told why these products failed me either when i really wanted to know why and insisted, but part two of this video is now on my channel with an unexpected update to this whole situation, filmed in a more proper setting and spoken more professionally i might add. and the eating comment is laced throughout this comment thread and i even make a little joke at the end how i didn’t eat during it lol

The Meguiar’s detailer line is the way to go. Buy it by the gallon or 5 gallon drum and it’s way more cost effective than Chemical Guys. One thing to keep in mind with Meguiar’s, they are part of 3M, a Fortune 500 company with real resources.
@@emed1977 they are, and i only recently learned this, im just not a fan of the cutting compound only cause it dusts, but the 3m branded stuff doesn’t. but i think Meguires gets a bad wrap cause they’re so commonly sold in auto parts stores with their cheap products but they have a fantastic professional line.
I'm pretty sure CG's is made at same plant a Megs . CGs leather scent is all I use from them.

I get wwhat you are saying but in the end, the customer will not know a difference between this brand or that brand. Now for the customer who has an exotic car, he might now the difference but mainly people here in my neck of the woods are just happy to see the end results which is way better looking at the end. They dont know the difference.
you’re absolutely right, i used this stuff on already really crappy neglected cars and the outcome is loved, but for something that advertises an achievable perfect finish, it’s just not the case, i wouldn’t dare put that stuff on a car that someone actually consistently cares about, it’s more so to bring back glory to heavily neglected cars and stuff

Only product I buy from CG is VRP, No Nonsense, Orage Degreaser & Extreame Bodywash. Products lasted me almost lasted me almost 2yrs (1gal) & those product works for needs. Any other stuff from them I stay away.
I had the same problem. I started paint correction with chemicals guys stuff, not good results. And because I was a starter I thought I was doing something wrong. Started using rupes Compounds. So much more easier and better results!
i never use Chemical Guys cause i have a thought that since they got like thousands of product they dint care much bout the quality,they go quantity over quality,and they are expensive

Hey man check out Owners Pride detailing. They have a compound and polish, very low dusting and works pretty well.
I switched to 3D products and I am not looking back.
Find A local P&S distributor go rupes for the polishes pads and tools

since i got a rupes polisher i will never go back to anything else. thing will cut like a monster like a rotary and polish delicately like by hand. thing is amazing
It is all good and well to have attractive lables on your product (CG) but if your product lacks performance and longevity that lable means nothing.

I am done with them too. Smaller bottles, over advertising, too high prices. I am a master tech for the last 32 years. I got into detailing for the last 10 years. I tried their products. They are not what they claim. I rather stick with meguiars, 3D and 🐢 wax brands. What i said it is just my personal experiences. Whatever works for people go for it.

@@DiBaccoDetails i have made my own combinations. 3D one is common and then i decide what kingd of cutting power i need. Then i add meguiars compounds. 3D one has very long working time. This is why i like 3D one and turtle 1 and done for darker cars. Thanks for replying.
You ever seen the haze they leave behind on black cars ! I too use the c4 and p4 . Trash man even for the weekend detailer ! I switched to Gyeon and it’s top notch
yes actually! i’ve experienced it myself. garbage. IMJOSHV has a video out he posted recently that shows this happening in real time in his video comparing it with meguiars and turtle wax. both kill the chemical guys and he can’t figure out a way to even get it to work. a multi-year experienced detailer can’t get it to work, means it doesn’t work lol
I do some side work but definitely not a pro. Griots stuff has been taking care of me. Bit pricey, can find deals sometimes. I do like Mr Pink soap from CG. My well has no iron but very hard water. Seems to work well with my foam cannon.

I used Meguiar’s ultimate compound and polish on my car for the first time and it was perfect. The second time I tried CG when I got a new car and after 3ish hours of work, the car has zero change in paint. Absolute rip off! I won’t use any CG products again. Also their other products are crap
I have tried so many products of Cg and the only 2 I kept are their black light and maxi suds 2 shampoo. Their products are OK but I would never try any compound or polish of their.. I just feel they are not for me
i used to love black light, then i started getting complaints from clients like a month and two months later about how their car has zero protection or hydrophobic properties anymore and it’s honestly really embarrassing to trust a product and to have that products be the reason my name is looked down upon by former clients
