Detailing a Nasty, Sticky, and Smelly Kid Hauler!

    Stay away from Chemical Guys hype. I purchased the leather care kit. While the solutions are just OK, the bristles on the brush for cleaning started falling out and shedding all over the interior after use on only 3 seats. I brought this to Chemical Guys attention and their response was "thank you for your feedback" and "welcome to the Chemical Guys family". No apology or offer to replace the poor-quality brush. I won't be a repeat customer.

    This guy comes across as either super immature (and arrogant) or very inexperienced. A very tacky video. And why not eat before you set up a table to make a video are you that pressed for time? Maybe it is just me and I am too old to understand. As far as the products he is using, I suspect based upon his behaviour that his technique is suspect rather than a particular product. I have detailed many vehicles (including aircraft) and never had any major issues with some of the same products. I don't use CG products exclusively but most of the products are decent for the price. For someone to come out and say "I will never use any...." seems to indicate that this person is prone to exaggeration and becoming easily overwrought and spastic. Be balanced and reasonable. No need to have a tantrum.

    Its like the problow, why tf would i want to blow dry a car, and how is that really cutting the time in half? I see right through that stuff. The average person probably doesnt realize that if you're going to blow dry a car, you have to start at the top and work your way down. Idk, its weird, ive been dryailing my whole life because of my father, and sometimes i look at these weird products when I shouldn't

    • @DiBaccoDetails
      @DiBaccoDetails 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      i do actually utilize a battery powered leaf blower in my business but with an asterisk* its meant to pull water out from crevices, cracks, blow off engine bays, wheels, and inside mirrors and beds. Even with the most buttery slick paint, you cant dry a car with a handheld blower, a proper drying towel is always needed.

      do explain, this is an older, rudimentary, amature video. yes, i had no idea how to "youtube". however, the information contained within is extremely factual, and relevant. But, you dont have to take it from me, read through the hundreds of comments of experienced detailers, maybe admitting my video itself was a bit strange, but that agree with my statements.

    I understand your young and not that smart .However I believe you should learn that most of the people who wash and maintain their own vehicles ,are looking for some thing that is quick with good results. I have tried many different products in my 59 years ,and when I tried chemical guys ,it worked . No it's not some professional car cleaner ,however it works well . Also if your going to make videos ,at least have some respect for others and don't try to talk while shoving almonds in your mouth ,oh and drink from a gallon jug. What kind of redneck crap is that?

    • @DiBaccoDetails
      @DiBaccoDetails 4 หลายเดือนก่อน

      feel free to leave a dislike, it will help me improve. However I'd like to clarify some things, this is a rudimentary, zero-dollar budget amateur video, I originally made for my local friends and aspiring detailers. I have since grown and used all sorts of chemicals and products, but I believe you misinterpreted my video. I never once tried to market this video to the homeowner, or the self-detailer, this is marketed toward a professional detailer, I outline at the end of the video, and continue to stand by the opinion, that CG is just fine for your regular guy who wants to keep his or her own vehicle clean, that part i'm not disagreeing with you on and never have. I simply stated and confirmed that CG does not offer professional-level quality with its products, it is nowhere near cost-efficient, and I also outlined the issue I had with the customer service department. I sense hostility and that's totally fine if the videos are not for you it's not for you. I'll never defend my eating and drinking on camera and if you look in the comments my only "defense" is that I never thought I'd get more than 200 views never 60 thousand, which I'm extremely grateful for, but if I knew the attention this would bring, I 100% would have structured it differently. Most of your comment I actually agreed with you which is why I'm not understanding the hostility. My experience at this point is strong, my skill level is strong, and two years later I can admit faults in the structure of the video, but I remain that I stand by the information within it. if you still disagree I encourage you to drop a dislike as I require all forms of criticism to improve. And i don't identify myself as a redneck, but you're entitled to your opinion and image of me.

    • @GoodGuysMedia

      i think he more wanted to be heard and for someone to deliver a sense of security. Good customer service weighs the customers feedback against their own policy and determine if policy is necessary to be enforced. Outside of that, it is a bit bizarre for anyone to expect a response after the return policy has expired. Especially after he used the products on multiple cars

    Also, remember back in the day it was a product out called liquid Ebony. And this stuff was for removing swirl marks, and it lived up to its name. You could glaze the hood and literally see the shine of your teeth in it. One fine product. I have no idea if it’s available anymore. Because it works so well the EPA probably shut it down.

    I remember back in high school actually spending time in a real body shop. Watching the pros go out with the Rotary‘s. They have six or seven different products use for cutting polishing compound and everything. I do believe it was Maguires. When I inquired as to where they got them, they gave me the name of the place. Which is an actual autobody supply house. So I went down there one day, but a few things bought some new pads for my rotary and practice on my parents car. I am in no to this date if the professional supply house is even open. There’s been a lot of changes in Orlando. I do use a lot of Chemical Guys stuff, and so far I’ve not had any problem with them returning something that breaks in the field. They were more than good about that but you do have to stay on them. I’ve tried a lot of washes and waxes which I like. I haven’t tried anything for cutting or hard-core polishing as of yet. Still looking at what else is out there

      You are entitled to your opinion, again this video is amatuer and rudimentary and was originally meant for friends and family, never in a million years did i think it would attract the attention it has. for these reasons i fully admit the structure of the video is poor, and i think about that all the time, but hey we all make mistakes, and while i might've inflated my antics for sake of what ended up being flat comedy, the information contained within the video i stand by, and remains to be factual and honest. if you still feel this way, feel free to leave a dislike, all criticism helps me improve.

      yes, because it doesn't live up to advertised quality. you're entitled to your opinion entirely, but imagine this for instance, you purchase lets say a rechargeable battery lantern to go camping, it advertises a 7-hour run time at full power, so you do some testing, you find that while following all instructions possible, using the cord it came with to charge it, and storing it properly, it doesn't even make it 2 hours before it dies. now you spent a lot of money on this because of a very serious marketing point of 7 hours, you've already used it, the box is opened, would you seek to return it? maybe not, but my main goal was to bring awareness to other detailers on its quality AND that i was able to substantiate my claims, reported it to the company, and they seemingly didnt care. youre entitled to do with that information as you wish, but holding them accountable is the main goal. i could care less about the money itself, i simply just wanted to replace them with more quality products that actually work properly.

      i never claim to be anything, all of the detailing companies i work with all are owned by someone who is better than me or has an employee who is, im always wanting to get better, what’s not mentioned is that chemical guys is what started my personal detailing journey (although i learned growing up from my father who did showroom detailing), and the paint correction products was an experiment for some of the more neglected worse cheaper cars that i did, i used to offer to do people’s beat up cars for cheap so they could sell them for more money and ask for money once the car sold when i was trying to build myself up, all customers were happy with the outcome but i’m simply saying how i wasn’t.

    Non-professional, here. I've been using Meguiar’s Ultimate product line for my car, by hand with a bag of brand-new microfiber towels. I had seriously impressive results doing the whole car, several times over, just by hand. Just bought a chemical guys torq DA polisher with their products as a kit, so I can do my mother's new car. I guess I should stick with the Meguiar's stuff still in my garage.. Ultimate Compound/Polish/Wax.

    • @DiBaccoDetails
      @DiBaccoDetails ปีที่แล้ว

      yes, the polisher will be fine i guess, a polisher is a polisher, id recommend getting a nicer one but whatever just take your time, if you have a good compound just get some good pads (lake country HDO orange polishing and lambswool cutting) and a good pad and compound will do the work for you where as with products like these you’ll be fighting it the whole time and get inconsistent flawed results

Now for the customer who has an exotic car, he might now the difference but mainly people here in my neck of the woods are just happy to see the end results which is way better looking at the end. They dont know the difference.

      you’re absolutely right, i used this stuff on already really crappy neglected cars and the outcome is loved, but for something that advertises an achievable perfect finish, it’s just not the case, i wouldn’t dare put that stuff on a car that someone actually consistently cares about, it’s more so to bring back glory to heavily neglected cars and stuff

    My experience with chemical guys has been mixed. Some of their products are great and some are terrible. I love their soap and dressings, but their wheel cleaner isn't strong enough to clean the caked-on brake dust from my wheels on my 2019 Mustang GT PP1. I just picked up a bottle of their P4 polish cause it really the only polish that state it can be used by hand instead of a machine. I spent the last 3 days polishing my car and it turned out great, but my car is also garage kept, and isn't daily driven.

      yeah, from what I'm reading between this video and the original video's comments, is that it certainly isn't professional, but there are a select few that are OK.

      read the rest of the comments. you’ve got plenty of peer reviewed studies here with people who use these products and others and there’s a pretty clear consensus. we do detailing professional a lot of us in the comments and know that chemical guys is mostly garbage. they’re a marketing company, not a detailing company.
