Can going Ultrawide really make you more productive at work, video editing or better to play games on? Can it connect to a Macbook Pro / Mac Mini via USB C and power it at the same time? Can it look awesome in your set up?
I tried to find the best All In One monitor, and I think I have found it.

After days of researching into curved monitors for my home office, I landed on your video. Great review and answered lots of the questions I had. Although more expensive than some alternatives, I'm paying the bit extra for the brand and peace of mind should I need to return, the ability to charge my laptop off it and the fact it has semi-decent internal speakers (rare for curved monitors I believe). Thanks a lot for this! Keep up the good work!

Having spent a couple of weeks deliberating whether I should buy an ultra wide or not, I came across your review which basically made my decision for me. The monitor arrived a couple of hours ago and it' a fantastic piece of kit! So glad I didn't go with a two monitor setup. Not having a couple of bezels right in the middle of the sweet spot is fantastic.

Very nice review. I can underline everything said. I have a Dell U4021QW coming from a Dell U2713HM. I love Dell Monitors as I use also at work various different Monitors of Dell. I love the space the monitor gives me. There are two buts! 1. Even the U4021QW has a resolution of 5kx2k (two 27" Monitor side by side) I run the Monitor with the resolution of 4608x1944, because the higher resolution was too small to see or my eyes too old. 2. The issue of organising the possible amount of windows, which will be helped with by the Dell Monitor Manager, is extra work load.Which should not be underestimated. It is principally not an issue with the monitor. It more an issue of self-organization.The extra space needs extra work which might ruin your gains you get from the fact that you have more apps in parallel visible. There are some smaller issue: In Teams you share either a specific window or the screen. If you have such a large screen the content will be very small to your team members. You can share only a application window, but then when you want to show another application you have to switch the window that is still okay but you end up sharing your full screen so you don't have to switch so much. Manageable but an extra skill you have to pickup.
At last a question: Why do all the Monitor TH-camr reviewers have a screen lamp on their monitors ? You even have a lamp on the side of your monitor.
I would never do this because a light on the the screen will of course create glare and reduce the brightness of the monitor which is with 300 cd/mm2 not very bright.Good enough for rooms also bright rooms. But a light on the monitor is like having a the sun shining at the screen. Can't see that this helps. Look forward to a new review of yours !

      @SLT4K  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

Hey! Thank you for the comment. So MacOS has done a good job. Now I’ve had the monitor for almost a month, I honestly can’t tell the difference now. The LG just because it had more pixels was that tiny bit sharper but now I’d absolutely take the extra space from the form factor.
The Ultrasharp line up has been designed to be as good as it can from 1440p and it’s very impressive 🤟🏼

This chair is looking good to me. 2) About the light which is at the back of your desk - is this some "home made" light? This is loooking like good idea to have some light shining up at the back of screen. Hey thanks a lot for the video! Thinking about going for one of those. Do you know if it has VESA support?

Hi 👋🏼 It does, I now have it mounted on a VESA mount monitor arm. Check out my instagram to see what that looks like

Thank you for this video! Is installing the Dell Display Manager utility on both devices the only way to use the KVM function of the U3421WE monitor? I may not have admin permissions on my work laptop to install software. What happens if the software is installed on only 1 of the 2 devices?

I am considering the 34 inch Ultrawide or the 32 U3223QE monitor, the only concern i have is 4k vs the WQHD. My current setup is actually 1080p, would you say that the QHD 1440p is a good bump from the 1080p? I just don't want to buy the ultrawide and feel the screen is the same as the 1080p.

Hey, could I trouble you to confirm the depth (cm) your desk is in the video? I’m wondering if that monitor will realistically fit on my 30cm depth desk! Thanks

Hi SLT, I bought the very same monitor couple weeks ago but I had to return it because the monitor was hanging in a crooked way, tending to the right (the circular head on the inner side that connects monitor and the stand was also not straightly assembled). I was wondering have you had the same issue with your monitor, if yes how did you fix it? (The customer service told me to apply force onto it on the other side of the monitor to correct it, but the monitor and stand was strictly assembled). Thanks in advance, Merve

can I ask about making a video with this monitor dislpying only black desktop, and olny white desktop. (75 % brightness and 50 contrast)
Without light in the room, or with only low light level.
    Without lamp abowe the monitor..
In order to see to backlight uniformity.

Thinking of ordering. How can I connect this to Bose/Sonos soundbar for good sound quality and use it as a hub. It doesn’t have optical audio out or hdmi-arc. Just the 2.5mm Jack. What am I missing?

Hi, what is the best monitor for video editing that has real colors and sharpe pictures like Mac does ?

I'm in the market for a new display as well, for use with both an older Intel Macbook Pro and a new M1 Pro. Everybody I know tells me to stay away from 1440p displays as they (supposedly) look awful when connected to a Mac. What about scaling issues, are you using this Dell monitor at native resolution ? What about sharpness ? I come from a 2017 27 inch iMac with 5K retina display but need to sell it for practical reasons ; an external 5K display is way too expensive so looking at 4K or 1440p displays...

My wife has a MacBook Pro and I'm trying to find the right ultrawide curved monitor for her.
As a PC user I baffled (and have failed find a concise explanation anywhere) about the correct/best/potential limitations of MacBook output - monitor input setup.
Does using a USB C dongle to HDMI restrict data transfer to below 1440p?
Is buying a monitor with a USB C input better?
You're using USB C to display port, why?
I'm driving myself nuts trying to make sure I'm getting/doing the right thing.

Any ideas for the best connection setup? I have the Dell xps 15 as my main driver and then would like to also have my macbook air as an easy plug in every so often. When i try to connect one with DP and the other with usb-c, the usb-c display doesn't fill out.
Any help much appreciated as this is my first ultrawide :)

If you connect it to your MacBook with USB C, do you still need to connect the MacBook to the upstream USB A port to get the two USB A and second USB C port on monitor to work?
