Re acc - find a place you like on Agoda etc , the cheap ones esp - But Don't book online ,find the phone numbers ( via Maps etc ) and call them direct - and pay Direct - Agoda etc TAKE 30 % of your 136b - so it's better for the hotel to book direct ( using the Agoda rate quote ) - this is what I do here - the hotels need every baht they can get currently

AUM restaurant is a great vegan place on Chiang Mai! Also for those of you who are in a 12 step program, there are meetings in the pavilion in that little park every night!

Pertastic video Paddy 😊 budget 1000 bath, wow... that massage at the temple just 140 bath for 1 hour, dude thats crazy cheap. I got 250 bath in bangkok that was crazy cheap 4 years ago. And last week in my city in the netherlands for 2000 bath, normal Dutch price. Love the VDO buddy 💪🙏

Cool, Paddy. During my six months trip in Asia I stayed in Chiang Mai for three weeks, my favorite place in Asia I would say. I used to spend around 5$ per day. Accommodation (clean AC dorm) with free bikes and unlimited free breakfast cost me around 2$ The rest of the money were going to food and fruit at local market and some bbq from food stalls and I'm a big guy so I eat considerably, though I don't usually drink alcohol at all. Whenever I wanted to go somewhere I just used bicycle or hitchhike (5 minutes of waiting). Most of national parks and temples are free. That was several years ago.

@@PaddyDoyle. go by the Dead railway and travel as far as possible, two or three hours after the well known River Kwae bridge. Rent a motorcycle and go out to see 500 million years back in time in one of the caves near Burma.

This was a highly entertaining video, great delivery and great storytelling Paddy.
The question I have now is what would it cost if you did a day in Chiang Mai where you’re not imposing a THB1000 budget on yourself. Asking for those of us who don’t want to travel like backpackers, want to go to museums and galleries, take a food tour, drink cocktails in chic bars etc.
Your channel is going to smash it. You’ve got the personality and mix of fun and insights to keep your audience engaged. The one thing I’d like to see that will take your content next level is find local experts and bring them into the episode so you don’t need to do all the heavy lifting.

As someone who toured a lot of the UK and Europe back in the day (80s/90s), I can guarantee that you will soon regret not kitting yourself out with something even a bit more comfortable and powerful. Some of the more modern, better equipped scooters are economic and capable enough for your needs. Can never beat even a few more cc’s! Hit up Chad on the CB Media channel. He’s been riding gear all over and knows what you can get in Thailand.

I don't remember the game court. As far as the food, I don't like spicy. I prefer to spice it up on my own. I like how there are lots of choices spicy or not. North Gate! My favorite place for music. Have to get there early or you have to stand outside. Stiĺl you can see and it is good music.
Paddy have you been to umphang district? It's near the myanmar border and it has amazing waterfalls and also Karen villages. I've done a 3 day 2 nights jungle tour there. It's not as touristy as other well known nature parks. Maybe something for you to visit during your journey.
