    Let’s just hope some team believes his injury affected his game and we can package him with one of our picks and move up in the draft or at least get a first rounder for him in next years draft. The thing is we might have to take back a bad contract in the process.

      We sitting at 93,000,000 next year for Salary Cap, the minimum is 126,000,000 and the cap is 141,000,000. We probably signing Garrett Temple to 3mil contract which leaves 30-45 million to spend on 3 players. Its gonna take some finessing to make it work enough to even keep Brown around as I doubt the Raps are interested in hitting that luxury tax this early in a rebuild. Not sure we can even take a bad contract on if we keep GTJ for 15-20mil and IQ for 30ish mil

    Bruce Brown really out here trying to get his 23 million option for 2024-25 picked up 😵. Masai better find a way to trade him by draft night, if he's on the roster next season at 23 million 🤦🏾‍♂.

    • @keonfollett765

      Or just let him go into free agency and free up cap space

    • @IceManLikeGervin
      @IceManLikeGervin หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@keonfollett765 Do you think Masai will just let Brown go after trading Pascal for him if he can't trade him by draft night? Masai has to turn Brown into something or the Pascal trade will look even worse than it does now. I just hope that some team is looking for salary cap relief by draft night and that Masai can make a quality trade.

      @@IceManLikeGervin yea it’s very possible. Masai and bobby have been referencing their cap flexibility since the trade deadline. If they can’t find a deal then they probably have plans for free agency

    • @IceManLikeGervin
      @IceManLikeGervin หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@keonfollett765 They almost always say one thing and do the other... cap flexibility is just a political slogan to throw at the fan base. The Raps never sign the top free agents and end up overpaying for average players in free agency. Time will tell.

    I've watched Bruce brown in Toronto. And it's clear there was something going on with him. I'm gonna give him the benefit of the doubt and hope he can heal up for next year. Bruce is a great role player around scottie. Scottie can find brown on the cut on the break and in the corner. If brown can get healthy and up his 3 percentage for next year I'd be glad to have him back for a 1 year overpay... that's just me tho

    The Bruce Brown situation is the bad gift that unfortunately will keep giving. The Raptors have a team option on a player who couldn’t fetch a 1st last season and isn’t worth $23m. You know the Raptors aren’t smart enough to just walk away from him for nothing. I hope they are smart enough just to release him. Brown has value but not at $23m. The other question is why was he playing meaningless basketball if he’s that hurt? I would much rather take the cap space they try to find a trade… keep him on the team only to trade him at the deadline like nothing like Schroder.

    I said then, and ill say it again...
    Bruce brown is Goron dragic all over again.
    The Pascal trade is the Kyle trade all over again.
    We should have kept kyle and we should have kept pascal.
    I still trust masai.

    It is not only 1 player that makes a team, I like bb players that play like a team. Let go of the players that "does not like the team." There are many bb players that want to play...just to get in the "NBA".

    If the Raptors knew Bruce Brown had an injury then why play him and deteriorate his trade value? There is a problem with management with this issue.

    The value we got for Spicy is a mark on this franchise. As was letting Fred leave for nothing!
    That will take a few years to make up. Simple. We got it way wrong and got
    Finessed!

    Bruce Brown unfortunately needs to go. Even when he played with the starters, he wasn't a good fit. This isn't a diss to the guy, he deserves to be on a team that fits his style. Gary Trent is more likely to come back if his contract is not significantly more expensive but even then, if another team offers even just 22M/yr, I don't think the Raptors will be willing to pay him that.
    Interesting times to be a Raptors fan, and to be front office!

    Doesn’t Brown still have value as a salary dump or does his cap hit go away by the draft for trades? If not nobody is picking up that option. Let him walk.

    I like SB, IQ, RJB, and KO off the bench. (Hell...I'm even fine with Darko and Jama.) Everyone can be traded for all I care. This season was some of the worst basketball in Raptors history both offensively and especially DEFENSIVELY! Inexcusable, historic blowout losses against bottom-feeders made for a difficult watch this diehard Raptors fan. Well built rosters can absorb multiple injuries with competent bench players contributing. We didn't have that. It was completely demoralizing watching our players miss so many easy layups, and open 3s. Many times it was the wrong person with the ball taking those shots. Let's not forget all the 4-6min scoring droughts and missed FTs. Ugh!... Flush this season down the toilet people, and pray that the players we are keeping make MONUMENTAL leaps in progress over the summer, and that the front office makes use of all that cap space to bring some talent to surround SB. I'm thinking some size, and people that can actually make their 3pt shots consistently.
