- The Toronto Raptors have some major things to figure out this off-season. However, there are a couple of major developments likely to happen in the summer based off of the Immanuel Quickley and RJ Barrett season-ending pressers. Ben Rogers breaks it all down.

great to see rj talk about defense, and give OG his flowers. unlike certain vets who stopped playing defense to pad their stats og was working hard, his injuries were due to him sacrificing his body more than anyone else and casuals hated on him for it
yo man your comments show you didnt even watch the last 3 weeks before og was traded. og mailed it in on defence if you watched the last 3 weeks before he was traded to knicks. he knew he was being moved so he mailed it in.
@@giovanni-ed7zqSiakam gave up way earlier.. though you not wrong
@@giovanni-ed7zqMailing it in like that not nearly as bad as fred and pascal playing for $
@@scottiedpoy8508 mailing it in 3 weeks before the trade which og was aware of means he didnt try on defence or offence if you go back and watch the games.
@@scottiedpoy8508 siakam was still putting up offensive numbers because his contract depended on it for getting a max contract. its not like og was some offensive juggernaut either. og game is his defence, and he probably played the worst defence in last 3 years in that 3 weeks prior to trade.
RJ is improving week by week. i honestly didnt know what to expect from him coming to the Raptors. his publicity wasnt good, if we are honest. since joining the Raptors he has been a great role player. hes gonna be a star in Toronto if he can become a strong 2 way. Scottie Rj and Quickley could be something to watch in Toronto for a long time if we do well next season. very excited to see these guys grow and win.
He was a good role player on the Knicks. He’s the raptors best scorer and second best player. He will be the co star to Scottie
RJ was the team’s leading scorer on elite efficiency. He’s played at an all star level in Tor.
Calling him a role player on this team is a bit out to lunch
@@scottiedpoy8508 facts lol
Once RJ improves going to the right he will be condsidered a superstar
Lol
Stop
He's averaging 20 5 and 3... the numbers aren't too far away to say it's not possible if he puts the work in.
@@dfeliz83it’s almost all star level which is definitely obtainable. Superstar is what is not likely.
yes he said he gonna be better than lebron and kawhi combined.
Quickley is a force⭐🇺🇸
Its good that he says he loves toronto instead of an other player that left kept saying he would decide what best for his family. Where we traded our future for jakob to complement him and stay.
i don't blame Siakam for wanting to be a star, especially under Masai, but i only wish that he was ok with an average role and get his % numbers up in all area's. would have held the team like glue especially on the rebounding end and could even cover as a backup on SF or PF/C. i love the pacer's though and i hope he gets to shine over in Indiana aswell.
Would love to get OG back. His only real drawback was that he got injured a lot. The best ability is availability. Knock on wood, RJB seems to be able to stay healthy in spite of driving into the paint with 3 guys hacking him on the way. Love him as a player and would be happy if he is able to get to 75% of OG's defensive capability. You can be an excellent defender without size, look at: Caruso, JRue Holiday, Derrick White, Pat Bev, Suggs, Alvarado. They are all pesky dogs that disrupt offences and cause turnovers. I just don't feel like the Raps currently have a "dog" on their team. I hope they get their shit together this off-season and get back to playing so decent basketball like they did in the first 8 games of this season.
RJ’S HOME BABY
I always believed in RJ over Zion. I knew it would take longer to see his potential but If he developed a better 3 point shot and got more comfortable driving right he could be up there with some of the most elite shooting guards. Zion’s athleticism might make his early career something to watch but that athleticism fades faster especially without other skills. Injuries are going to happen to everyone but the more fundamentally sound you are the longer in the league. Blake griffin was a prime example he went crazy early on with his dunking ability but it faded at the end because of injury.

RJ is the true leader of the team ... with RJ you can see his star power now ...not like barnes where its like betting on magic beans 🫘
With scottie i can already see his head getting inflated
Agree. RJ is the #1 option

Would love KLow to rejoin Raps and help with mentorship in Miami. Contract has to be right.
Scottie will be just as good of a defender as OG
nope
@@tough3600better
@@tough3600I bet you all my money scottie has more all defense season in his career then OG will
@@comohbeatz4846 doesnt mean much, og is routinely snubbed
@comohbeatz4846 I believe PG13 said on his podcast Scottie will be dpoy one day. It will be hard next to Wemby though
Big thing for RJ will be to turn those two or three forced drives a game that end up in turnovers into an assist. That’ll turn him from good to great player.
IMHO
RJ PG
IQ SG
Dick SF
Barnes PF
Poeltl C
That is a Lottery bound team...
I think this is currently a good bet at the starters for October. Have to see if they can keep up shooting and play solid D. That line up is young, fast, hungry, and fun to watch. If it doesn't solidify, Poeltl could get moved and Dick maybe needs to be coming off the bench still. Interesting to see if they draft a big and a PF, perhaps a back up PG too? Brown should go, Boucher should get moved to somewhere he gets to play, Trent Jr has a solid shot of getting paid elsewhere. Probz room for another vet on the bench too.
@@pgauleygale What if Spurs give IQ a max, near max contract offer? It's been rumored...

Cant wait to see the real foundation of the raps in IQ , RJ and Gradey lead the way for the raps ... we can have scottie come off the bench or even fetch Gatorade for the boys !

A Scottie, IQ, and RJ core is mid af. Even fully healthy that core wins like 40 games max next year.
Casual
Well good thing they’re not suppose to be a chip winning team next year. Average core age of 23. Why you need your instant gratification little boy. Enjoy the process of watching them grow and get better together
@@guy9552 thank you
lol this guy complains about losing that can lead to picks to add to the core, also complains about being mid, you think elite players just show up on teams
@@guy9552they gonna be the next OKC gonna take a while to develop and be great again in 2- 3 years this team would be a serious team to watch
Serious Leap...Mehhh..I miss OG..Paul George might be available, just saying..
PG would never sign here at this point in his career. That man is going to chase a ring and the raptors are not a contenting team even with PG.
ok and we’re rebuilding why does pg matter?
