I have an iPad running DJay Pro. I'd like to use this interface to get a stereo output to an amp/speakers whilst having cue audio to hear the next track I'm mixing in all whilst using the on screen software as the controller. Is this possible?
If using the EVO 8 on an iPad, it's not possible to turn on Artist mode on the second headphone that will allow you to have a second CUE mix on the headphones, this is one of the reasons we do not officially support iOS with hte EVO 8
Hi, I hear a difference in quality while listening to monitoring into evo mixer while I'm playing and a much lower quality inside the daw (both with monitoring or listening to the record). What I'm doing wrong?
I'd double-check your panning, sometimes if something that's stereo is panned centrally, you'll get cancellation and can lose details from your audio. If you are still having issues, can you send a couple of samples to support@audient.com and our team can help you?
Thanks for the video. Can I connect a reverb pedal for vocals using the line output and line input of the device? Will a device with a microphone and synthesizer work without a computer with a 9 volt power supply? That is, like a mixing console. EVO 16 can be used without a computer, maybe EVO 8 also works autonomously?
The EVO 8 would need to be connected to a computer to work. To route audio from from the inputs to the outputs, you'd need to use the EVO mixer software. For this reason, we wouldn't recommend the EVO 8 as a standalone unit
@@weareevoaudio Some users write in the comments that they use smartphones like iOS or android instead of a computer. Successfully used. Are they doing the right thing in the opinion of the EVO AUDIENT manufacturer?
The EVO 8 isn't officially supported on iOS or Android because its not possible to access the EVO mixer meaning you loose a lot of functionality. That being said, the EVO 8 is class compliant so you can basic stereo inout and output on some iOS/Android devices
The Headphones are linked to the Jack outputs. Whatever is being sent to Outputs 1+2 will appear on Headphone 1 and Outputs 3+4 will appear on Headphone 2.
This may be because you have a TRRS jack plugged into a TRS connector. You therefore may need to use a TRRS splitter to sperate the headphone channels from the Microphone channel
Output 1+2 and Headphone 1 are fed from the same amp and plugging a jack into Headphone 1 will auto-mute Outputs 1+2. IIf using headphones at the same time as your monitor outputs, we would recommend using headphone output 2.
The EVO and iD line use different pre-amp circuits and have slightly different feature sets depending on what works best for your workflows! Both will give you great sounding audio however.
You can simply plug in your 4 microphones to the 4 microphone inputs. Set your phantom power and gains as required and then in your recording software, set up 4 recording tracks and assign each of the 4 inputs to these tracks.
The EVO is class complaint and you should be able to get basic Input and output when connected to an iOS device. However, because there is no EVO control app for iOS you will loose some functionality when used with iOS
@@weareevoaudio Thanks for the info. Do you plan to release an iOS app to get full compatibility? I would only use the interfaces with an iPad, so this aspect would push me towards another option. Shame, as I like what I see and hear and would like to "buy British" and support you guys at Audient 😉.
Finally, an interface that allows physical channel muting!

Amazing value for money👍👍👍

I might have missed this in the video, but can you set up two independent headphone mixes, or are the headphone channels mirroring jack outputs 1-4?
The Headphones are linked to the Jack outputs. Whatever is being sent to Outputs 1+2 will appear on Headphone 1 and Outputs 3+4 will appear on Headphone 2.
@@weareevoaudio It's usually the case and is suggested in the 4in 4out, but just wanted to check. Thank you.
PLZ HELP ME , why i cant use my hyper x cloud 2 gaming headset us stereo sound , its gives me only mono sound

Whats the difference between the evo and id line?
The EVO and iD line use different pre-amp circuits and have slightly different feature sets depending on what works best for your workflows! Both will give you great sounding audio however.
Does the Evo 8 needs to be connected to a computer or can it work stand alone?
The EVO 8 is designed to be connected to a computer and cant really be used as a standalone device.
Is the Evo 8 capable of driving 250-ohm headphones adequately?
Yes, the EVO 8 can drive 250 Ohm headphones to more than useable levels.
Having trouble figuring out how to use all 4 inputs at once to record a 4 person podcast. Plz help

@@weareevoaudio thanks for the reply. But i have dynamite mics. So will that still make a difference?
Not at all, you'd just have to skip the step where you turn phantom power on.
Can I use it for live performance ?
Yes of course!
