Hello Mike, the biggest reason I love watching your videos is because you touch all areas of being a musician not just a drummer. Gigging, recording, teaching, buying and selling, building, product reviews, interviews with other musicians and builders, and repairs. And just think I am a guitarist and your channel is my number one channel to get updates on what’s happening in the world of musicians!!! Keep up the great work. Good health and blessings.
hey fella - really enjoyed your video - I just wanted to get some intel on the interface cos like you, I have acquired several over the years LOL but I also found your video really engaging! Nice one!
@@malonedrum It's weird, I have older interfaces, like pre-2010 and all of them have plenty of headroom for headphone volume, but nearly every new interface I've gotten in the past 5 years are much lower. The Roland Go Mixer is laughably low. You can year yourself playing acoustic guitar louder than that thing.
Disappointed . a big fault I bought an EVO 8 . 2 headphones out yah BUT. if you plug in headphones it cuts the speakers! So you can have 1 speaker out and the other as one headphones. Or 2 sets of speakers out and no headphones out or 2 headphones out and no speakers out. If Id know this before buying really annoyed and Support says they cannot stop headphone plugging in turning off the speakers on the same channel with a firmware or software update.
@@malonedrum its 1 reason i bought it expecting i could record 2 people at once and each has its own headphones on. its called artist mix meaning you can have 1 mix on one output when a second person gets a second different mix. so its built for 2 different mixes .
Want to purchase the Audient EVO 8? Use this link, and it helps support my channel at no extra cost to you: amzn.to/3YqEZBt

Appreciate the nice comments!
I love that auto mute function for the monitors when using headphones! That thing looks sick!
All of the auto settings are super useful and something more companies should lean into it.
Just a quick note with nothing else to say other than that I liked your video!
Appreciate that!

Glad it helped
One thing I noticed here though is the loopback seems to be coming back in the right channel only, at least in this video.
That might be on me being a novice to this device at the time.
The evo 8 actually allows you to safe presets in the mixer
Yes!
I always dig your stuff Mike. Great job! I always find headphone volume being too low on a lot of modern interfaces. How's the volume on this one?
It’s ok, but I find myself cranking it pretty loud in order to be comfortable with playing drums

Audient is cool!
They make great audio products!
Exellent video.
Thanks!
How is Rountrip latency on 128 samples?
I didn’t notice latency in my use with it,but I’m sure you could find a more technical analysis of the latency online.

Sorry to hear that, I’d never think to test that since I usually use headphones when I need silence out loud.
