EVO was formed to break down the barriers creatives face when exploring the often intimidating world of audio and make recording simple for everyone. We believe technology shouldn’t get in the way of the creative process, it should enhance it and most importantly be accessible, no matter your skill level or artform.

Hi EVO team, amazing product and i very like it. But, could you make an update that when you work in 5.1 and beyond for the EVO 16? the main volume knob act like a master fader for all output Channel? And with calibration (volume, delay) it will be awsome! Thx
This is the video i didn't know I needed to watch. Cool stuff!
I have a simple question: Can I use EVO-4 to connect 2 microphones while running a TH-cam Karaoke and get the combined sound on a external speaker(powered).
Yes, this is possible. You would just use the monitor mix to control the blend between the microphone audio and the youtube playback. If you need any help with this setup, send a mail to support@audient.com
I'm using an EVO 8, but my software doesn't show the EVO control option in the pop up menu. My drivers are up to date.
If you haven't already, can you send a mail to support@audient.com and our team can help you get any setup problems resolved.
Hey, can I use this as an expander for RME Babyface pro Fs .?
Yes, this can be connected to the babyface via ADAT to give up to 8 additional input and output channels
Hey Adam, Question - I'm hooking up a Universal Audio Ox Box via optical cable to my EVO 16. Do you know if I have to set up anything in particular in the EVO software mixer? Thanks
The optical output on the OX is S/PDIF so ensure that the optical format for the input is set to S/PDIF rather than ADAT in the system panel of the EVO mixer software. Otherwise, you should have no other issues.
@@weareevoaudio thanks for the reply! Got it working, but hear digital artifacts. Do you set the clock to internal or external in the evo mixer software? Thanks
You'd need to set the clock source to Digi 1 or Digi 2 (Depending on which input you are using) on the EVO software so it can sync to the incoming ADAT signal. You'd need to ensure that the clock indicator next to your clock selection is green.
@@weareevoaudio got it, thanks!
Less selling and more 'splaining please!
This might be a silly question, but is there a proper way to turn it off after use or do we simply unplug it from the computer?
You can simply unplug the USB cable to power down the unit, there is no other way of turning it off.
@@weareevoaudioAwesome, thank you.
Hola, las salidas de audio de EVO 8 Y EVO 16 son balanceadas?
Hola, sí, las salidas de línea de EVO 8 y EVO 16 son balanceadas.
you stopped short of the full setup. meaning headphones and the likes. the app is great but wed like a full understanding of the outputs in a daw. cheers
Evo 8. i have not bought yet as i dont see an answer to this question Outputs in ableton or other daws on Evo 8 what is available to route out the DAW? Do the 2 headphone outputs show up as an option from the DAW? Id like to use 2 separate sets of speakers and 2 separate headphone outputs. My current Interface always merges the speaker and headphone outputs so are not separate just the balance between them I can not choose in the DAW to use these as separate outputs. Im not referring to the Evo 8 app but only what you can see and direct as outputs as options from inside the DAW be it ableton or any other daw, I currently use Ableton Logic and bitwig as DAWs cheers
Hello, On EVO 8, the Speaker outputs and Headphone outputs are both drivers from the same DAC and it is not possible to use them independently. If you need to use two sets of speakers and two sets of headphones then I'd instead recommend either the EVO 16 or the iD44 MKII instead as these would both give you these features.
In your actual daw what actually appear for the EVO 8 input and eapecially what outputs? I assume you can send things out to things like the headphone outputs from inside the daw itself so i can switch between monitor outs and Headphone outs or both at the same time. . Im not sure how the app you have interacts with the daw you use in the evo 8 Cheers.
let us try one !
If have two mics into one track do you press either channel for smart gain?
If you have the two channels stereo-linked (press both buttons simultaneously to link them), when selecting the channels you wish to use for Smartgain, you only need to select one of the linked channels and both will be selected.
Nice one ! Some size verb !!
Brilliant!
Hell yeah kool grove
Can you do voice-over quality work on it?
Yes, the EVO 4 is perfect for high-quality VO and will give you clear, low noise recordings.
This was hauntingly beautiful to watch and listen to
Great instructional video but the background music drives me crazy!
This all sounds and looks nice. But I want: something multiple freely assignable buttons (like for mono, talkback, speaker B etc.) and freely assignable faders (like for speaker and headphone levels,, each on their own fader so I don't have to switch back and forth). And I want it in an ergonomic desk unit, not having to reach over to the interface to use a single knob and jump between display modes. It seems that someting like that could be possible because Metric Halo is providing the option via Mackie Control. There you can basically use any hardware fader box that can send pitch bend information. What about Audient? Any such options?
I'm getting an issue where I can hear everything fine except when monitoring. I can only hear myself on the right side, but software wise it seems fine.
You can adjust the Monitor Panning by pressing and holding the Monitor Mix button and turning the main control knob until the LEDS on the meter ring meet in the middle
Any idea why my screen has stopped working? Do you know where I can get it replaced? Thanks.
I'm sorry to hear that, can you please send a message to support@evo.audio and our team can help you!
Does that mean you can put fuzz/drive pedals inline with the instrument input?
Yes, you can use fuzz/distortion pedals in line with the instrument input, just watch your signal level so that you're not clipping the inputs of the EVO 4 as this will sound pretty awful
I have a trouble My evo4 after a time, start distortion on monitor out, when i reconnect the interface, back to normal, but after a time come back the noise… I’m using a iMac 2009 Anyone knows what’s happening? A already test my evo4 in another Mac and works good
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues, can you please send a message to support@evo.audio and our team will be able to assist you!
Hii, Does this work well with the Waveform DAW ?
We've not personally used Tracktion Waveform, but looking at their website, the EVO 4 should work perfectly with it.
My evo 8 will no longer power up when i plug it into my mac. I might have unintentionally changed the firmware. Hiw do i fix?
I'm sorry to hear you are having issues with your EVO. Can you send a message to support@evo.audio and our support team will be able to assist you!
Why can't I use the auto gain as a software feature in the mixer for the evo 8 and evo 16, but can do it on the evo 4 when it's the entry level device shouldn't the top end hardware have more features available to use then the entry level?
I have both the EVO 8 and 16. They are great interfaces. I do have some questions / observations: - is there an iPad mixer for the interfaces? I use the EVO 8 to practice ( my Fractal FM9 is always connected to the EVO 8), and would like to use my iPad too, instead of having to use my MBP always, in order to have access to the EVO mixer. - it would be nice if there is an EQ, compressor and reverb per channel in the EVO mixer (or a channel strip), so I can use the interface live with its own mixer without the need for a DAW. - the audio from my MBP goes through the MAC 1+2 channel of the EVO mixer. For some reason, the input signal is always clipping. Due to the fact that this is a line input channel, it doesn’t have an input gain. I have to manually adjust the output signal of TH-cam, moises, etc to avoid clipping. Is there a way to adjust this within the EVO mixer?
There isn't an iPad app for controlling the EVO 8 or EVO 16 I'm afraid. I'm afraid the EVO interfaces do not have enough DSP power on board to run real-time effects in the mixer. They could be ran on the host PC, but this would add considerable latency and at that point you may as well just use the DAW and run the effects in there instead. The DAW channels shouldn't be clipping unless the youtube video or audio playback is also clipping. Can you send a message to support@evo.audio so we can check this?
Another really good point is, that nowadays there are also used for lighting equipment, so on events you only have to buy one variant of cable
Is the Evo 8 capable of driving 250-ohm headphones adequately?
Yes, the EVO 8 can drive 250 Ohm headphones to more than useable levels.
Bro I thought that was Tom singing for a second, well done Matt
Hi there I’ve got 3 interfaces in my setup. Focusrite Scarlett 18i20 , evo8 and Apollo twin x . I want them connected in the same order with the twin as the master . Should I just go OUT TO IN VIA 💡light pipe from Scarlett to uad? If so what should I put as clock source ? Cheers. Would be nice if you had a video on this.
We can help you with this setup, can you send some more details about your setup to support@evo.audio and our team can assist you?
Is it possible to have all analog outputs set to DAW Thru and have my DAW's main output go to the two headphone outs on my Evo 16? Not using monitor speakers, only headphones, in my setup. Would like to use all analog outputs to send to hardware effects.
Yes, this is possible, when the analog outputs are in DAW THRU, the signal will still appear in the DAW 1-8 channels of the EVO mixer; allowing you to send the audio to the Main mix and therefore onto the headphones
Hey Adam could you please ask EVO to make software for iPad/EVO4. Thank you
Thank you for your suggestion!
Please, when set the output channels to mono, why there isn't the option to control the level of the signal to those individual paths? They just go "thru". That is a major drawback in the design of both software and hardware. I love the sound of my Evo 16, but that design flaw makes me hate it at the same time. Is it really that complicated to assign a level control to a mono output? 😢
Hello there, can you send more information about your mixer setup to support@evo.audio and our support team can help you with this!
@@weareevoaudio I already did that back then when I bought it. They just said they would pass the recommendation to the engineering team, but no guarantees. And they told me you had a new line of products 8 times more expensive that had that simple function 🤷🏻♂️
👍
Nice
awesome
well done
Thank you much !!! 💫🩵
Sweet phrase! Love where it resolves.
Hi there! I use EVO8 and also Cubase11 and I can't hear any sound from monitor chanel - track from Cubase! Any idea?
Hey, I'm sorr to hear you are having setup issues, if you haven't already, can you send a message along with some screenshots of your Cubase/EVO mixer setup to support@audient.com and our team can help you!
@@weareevoaudio I will do! Thanks a lot 🙏
I own a EVO 16. I am trying this Firmware Update for the 10th time but again it got stuck. How long does a Firmware Update generaly take?
A firmware update should only take a minute or two, so it sounds like something isn't working correctly. Your computer may be having difficulty accessing the firmware file from our update server. Can you please message support@audient.com and we'll be able to assist you with this.
With a usb c iPad can you go direct into iPad usbc to usbc?
Yes, on a USB-C iPad, you can plug the EVO 4 in directly with no hub
