I just got the Evo eight and was curious about exactly what was covered in this video very glad to have this tutorial as I was beginning to think I bought the wrong unit! But I’m glad I purchased the right unit!
Create a separate and simple video on how to use Evo4 and Evo8 for Karaoke where the source of the -1 track could be TH-cam from the same computer. It would help if you keep the video simple only for playback and another one for recording as well. This will help boost the sales to a great new heights.
This certainly is possible using the Mixer app. You'd just set the outputs of your DAW tracks to outputs 1-4 and these will appear on the MAC 1-4 or PC 1-4 channels in the mixer software. From here you can then use the faders to mix these as you wish.
I'm not able to use mic n.2 with Skype, Zoom, etc, Only mic n.1 works. I need to use 2 mics, one for live and other for recording vocals. Can you tell me how can I do?
I can't find a way to output only the metronome in Ableton with EVO. The headphones outputs everything and when I chose 3-4 output for headphones the metronome does not come out. Any help EVO?
You would first need to enable Artist Mix which is done by going to the menu bar of the EVO mixer and clicking Setup > Enable Artist Mix. Then click on the Artist Mix on the right hand side of the mixer and the mixer will turn yellow to indicate you are editing the artist mix. Then pull up the fader for the PC/MAC 3+4 channel to send this to the headphone outputs.
There are np plans to update the EVO 4 mixer, on EVO 4 you have both the Loopback Mixer and the Control panel which gives you full control over the EVO 4 from your computer.
Yes, the level for output 1+2 is shared with headphone 1, and the level for output 3+4 is shared with headphone 2. When a headphone jack is plugged into one of the headphone jacks, the shared line outputs are automatically muted.
The EVO 4 is officially supported on iOS whereas the EVO 8 isn't officially supported as its not possible to access the EVO mixer software and this greatly limits its functionality. Because its not officially supported on iOS, it cannot be used to unlock Cubasis LE

Thank you for your suggestion, we'll pass this onto the video team!
Can I assign four different mono tracks to have their own individual output channel? (stems) Is it possible to target the daw to mono?

Are outputs 1L+2R and 3L+4R controlled together with headphone outputs 1 and 2?
Yes, the level for output 1+2 is shared with headphone 1, and the level for output 3+4 is shared with headphone 2. When a headphone jack is plugged into one of the headphone jacks, the shared line outputs are automatically muted.
Can you set the smart gain using the mixer instead of pressing the button on the interface?
It's not currently possible to use Smart Gain from the software mixer I'm afraid, you would need to use the buttons on the interface itself.
How do I mute input one for the artist track and have it still playing for out put 1-2
If you have the artist mix activated, just click on Outputs 3+4 to edit the artist track and pull down the fader for that channel.
where can i download it for ipad pro thx
The EVO mixer software is only currently available for macOS and Windows, not for iOS I'm afraid.
@@weareevoaudio Why evo4 can use cubasis evo8 on ipad but not

Does the EVO audio interface have to be plugged in so you can show the mixer?
Yes, you'd need to have the EVO connected so that the mixer shows up.
Can we use headphone and monitor output at the same time ?
Yes you can, if you are using monitor outputs 1+2, and headphone outputs 3+4 (due to how the EVO is designed).
