Not always true. My little guy is spoiled when it comes to good food. But he's got a nasty habit about eating grass and even my houseplants. He doesn't do it to throw up and I Know it's not nutrition (talked to vet) I even have to keep him on a leash when I take him out in the morning because he'll be out there for an hour just eating wet grass..
I know a little grass in the belly wont hurt him, but all day, Every day!! How do I make that stop?

I’m desperate for something to give to my dog as she eats grass throws up (sometimes yellow bile or foam & grass). I’ve asked the vet multiple times, only to get the response of that’s what dogs do. I’m sick of cleaning it up. I feed my dog raw meat & sometimes unpasteurized chicken eggs & a spray probiotic, so I’m desperate to try something. Ppl say dog food causes that as it has grain & sugar in it but that’s not true as my dog eats raw, no treats. I’m going to try this to see if it works! What do I have to lose?

Dogs do eat some type of herbs that resemble grass, and taller types of grass for various reasons. But grazing low-growth, wiry type of lawn, is not dog’s necessity. Most people feed their dogs with kibble, or with food that lacks necessary plant and mineral supplements, and there is the caveat: the dogs throw up that because in dog and public parks, the fertilisers are applied regularly to promote growth. It is primarily the fertilisers that upset animal’s stomach. But dogs are attracted to fertilised low growth grass because fertilisers are rich in mineral supplements and short grass type allows them easy access to it. Knotty / wiry type of grass used to cover lawns, public parks and golf courses dogs can’t digest at all, and it may literally block dog’s stomach. The idea to prevent dogs from grazing around lawns, public parks and golf courses, is generally a good one. As a source of minerals necessary for dogs, use seaweed products and add them in dog's food.

Sorry pal I can’t go with that. I’ve been around dogs for over 70 years when they get sick and
need to get something off their tummy (their sick) they head to the grass factory, and start
eating and about 10 to 20 minutes they do the old upchuck thingy then off they go happy as can be.
So before you write one of these things it’s important to know wtf your talking about.
And if you are a degreed individual,which I don’t think you are I have to wonder if you got your degree from pedigree or sears.
