    Soooo glad to hear someone in the sync business loves disco because I recently did 3 songs in that style but was concerned nobody likes it anymore.

      1) I love disco music 2) DISCO is a music sharing platform which is the industry standard for sync licensing: disco.ac

    I'm 15 minutes in and I feel like all the challenging things Jen Malone runs into, could be avoided when these artist did a bit of research, like doing the ATA Vo Williams course on sync. Too bad, because I feel like this puts up an extra wall between music supervisors and independent artists, If you know what I mean

    If the Sync Agency only takes in fully produced songs,can demos be submitted to publisher?Can we have an episode on "how to approach publisher?how many songs?full or shorted versions,produced or stripped down versions"✌🏾

    • @saxmanash
      @saxmanash ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Do you mean fully mastered? Just asking cause I'm also interested.
      Songs are composed, recorded, produced, mixed and then mastered but I hear you can go without mastering.

    • @jakartakingston
      @jakartakingston ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@saxmanash The mastered part is also interesting. I meant produced songs Vs Guitare/Vocal or Piano/Vocal versions demos.

    • @mybadnyck
      @mybadnyck ปีที่แล้ว

      You can submit demos but it just should sound rough/not mixed. It’s best to send in finished versions because sometimes a the final song has a completely different feel from the demo. So say you submitted the demo & they wanna use it, if the final doesn’t have the same feel/emotion of the demo, they won’t use the final version. If that makes sense or answers your question

      Hey I loved this comment, trying to understand how to take action on tips from videos like this is something I've been thinking of a lot lately. I’m doing some research on how musicians can understand what their fans want more when it comes to stuff like this. I’d love to buy you some lunch over a phone call to talk more about this!

    What about using royalty free samples that you paid for in a production for sync. Is that a normal thing?

    If you use Garage Band to program drums and are using whatever they have for, say, the kick or the cymbals, would you need to clear that?
