Same. This TV has displayed an Athlon XP 2400+ overclocked, an Athlon X2, Phenom, FX 6300 and Xeon 1230 v2 (Ivy Bridge 3770 more or less) with possibly some others that my sleep deprived brain can't think of. It's had a dozen laptops connected over the years, at least 6 consoles. We just phased out of watching traditional TV entirely, even when we watched a show it was recorded on the DVR and watched after the little one went to bed. We use it for web browsing, TH-cam, movies, games, etc... I built a HTPC before it was cool and two out of my three children don't even remember a world before that was a thing. As far as they knew when they went to their friend's homes and they didn't have a PC connected to the TV *those guys* were the weird ones.

After gaming on a Oled for the last year and a half, I can't imagine ever going back to a backlit display... even the 8k led/lcd displays still lack the contrast that I've become accustomed to.
LG 55" OLED C9 smokes this "gaming TV" with perfect contrast and near instantaneous 0.2ms response times. HDMI 2.1 for 4k 120Hz support. VRR to prevent screen tearing. Only 6.6ms input lag. All for $1600 or $1,300 like new. Try it first, you won't want anything else.
@Paulo Jorge Cruz Pereira Rodrigues Melo e Almeida Well, that's weird. I've had a B7 for two years, and I have no burn-in at all, even though I mostly just game on it. The B8 should be even better at preventing burn-in. The B9 and C9 should be even better than that too, so I'm not worried about burn-in anymore. Does your friend play games in vivid mode with backlight maxed? Lol.
2:12 - "It is barely even compressing." That means it SUCKS as padding as it absorbs almost NONE of the shocks/impacts the package suffers, but instead passes them RIGHT through to the TV. You'd think manufacturers would understand the principle behind shock absorbing packaging. Only an outermost layer should EVER be stiff and unyielding. Inside that should be moderately compressable foam which would absorb and disperse any pressure put on the outer layer, so as to protect the item inside.
LG C9.. am i a joke to you? ... i mean that tv is one of the best tv's of 2019 ...120hz, hdmi 2.1 ready, G-Sync support coming, lowest input lag among tv's, lg web os ("smart" features), a tv tunner, & it's half the price for the 65" model or get the 77" for the same kind of money of that blow-up lcd monitor
That's exactly how I feel I mean for the same price you could literally buy a W9, which comes with all those features and is literally around 3% the depth of this monitor. Plus HDR10+ and Dolby vision support. Will also look infinitely better than the 384 dimming zones across 65" I'm usually not one to sneer at expensive stuff but this is like the most impractical use of money I could ever see
That tv's box and foam: 😃 The box's size dwarfing Sebastian and his grunts while attempting to lift the box off of the foam covered tv: 😃 The box needs to be raised off of the foam covered tv with a crane. The tv's box can be used as a makeshift shelter and the foam looks like it houses some kind of dangerous/secret/special object.
A lot of remotes that don't have a dedicated on/off button still have a code for it because it's a common firmware. So if you make Harmony send dedicated powers, it will smartly use the on/off-specific codes. At least that's how it worked with my HK receiver years ago when I had a working one.

Xzavior * r u dumb
Xzavior * The differences are DisplayPort inputs, Gsync, actual high refresh rates and apparently overclocking abilities (not that it matters too much). Let’s also not forget, this isn’t a regular TV, it’s a giant PC monitor.
It won’t be for everyone especially considering you’d need one beefy GPU to even utilize the high refresh rates at 4K. This is only the first iterations. I’m sure once it matures a bit, it can be a better value to bring living room gaming to the masses..I like where it’s headed so far.

Our family is somewhat similar. We have a p.c. for youtube , gaming , and my wife's art and photography work . We don't have cable / t.v. channels .
Same.
I built a home made DVR back in 2003 with Duron 700 @ 948MHz, a Geforce 4800+ VIVO and displayed it on a 32 inch Sanyo CRT TV. 1024x768 with the TV automatically handling AA for me... lol
Upgraded the TV in 2008, obviously upgraded the PC over the years.
