Their snake oil is nothing more or less than voxel rasterization 🤷♂️ They're just using big words to make it sound new and interesting. Instead of using a typical 3D rendering engine, their software is basically a combination of Google and Excel. The 'unlimited resolution' claim is fairly accurate, but it's limited by storage space. Each voxel (the smallest individual item, what they refer to as resolution) takes up a certain amount of storage space for 3D coordinates and properties, if it's 64 bit precision that's easily 32 bytes per voxel. If each voxel is 1 square millimeter and 32 bits of information, a single Rubix Cube has an on-disk size of 182kB and a brick is easily a megabyte. A building can be gigabytes or even terabytes. LTT already did a video on 3D laser scanning a building, and if I remember correctly they stored that data as voxels 🤔 There are obviously optimization strategies and culling functions involved, but in the end you're still stuck with a LOT of data. With an efficient 'search engine' and fast drives you can calculate which voxels your 'camera'/view is pointed at fast enough to achieve decent FPS, with very minimal 'graphics hardware' in the usual sense as it's no more GPU-heavy than word processing program (unless you start adding additional effect on top of it). The big problem with voxel rasterization is movement, as you'll have to calculate and (re)write the new location coordinates of each little voxel in any object that moves for every frame. It takes a tremendous amount of additional processing power and disk read/write cycles. Don't get me wrong, it's a cool technology, but they are overselling it for its current capabilities.

I have worked in logistics and honestly from things that i've seen when "fragile" or "handle with care" is on a box alot of peps get heavy handed with it like its a challenge to be beaten,
Like saying dont walk on the grass to someone walking past some grass, they had no intention of walking on the grass, until you told them not to so they then proceed to stomp on it
On box: "This is very fragile, handle with care!"
Person handles with foot :D
Is it still called handle if you use your foot?
Surely it is...footle?
Nah just a hoof xD
I wanted to see a scenario where there's some kind of conflict with a guest at the house and they intentionally kick it as hard as possible deliberately trying to destroy it lol.
