    If I was Nike or Adidas or any other brand I would've hired Josh already to help develop a boot. His experience and expertise on boots would really benefit a company since he knows what works and what doesn't 💯

    What is the thinnest synthetic upper on the market.

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  7 ปีที่แล้ว +18

      The evoSPEED 17.1 SL is pretty much as thin as it gets, although it isn't all that durable. Realistically, the Vapor 11 would be your best option if you want a super thin upper.

    2 questions. Firstly how much space should there be at the front of your foot when wearing football boots (actual measurement) Secondly, they obviously feel tight but how long does it usually take to get the superflys V to get somewhat comfortable? Thanks

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Personally I leave no space at all. There's no specific measurement to give because depending on the shape of your foot and the shape of the cleats, the space will always vary. Some boots will simply fit you better than others. I will say that you never have a lot of space. anymore than half a thumbs width is too much in my opinion, but at the same time you have to feel comfortable with how the cleats fit, so using your own judgement based on how they feel is key. Superflys fit tight new or broken in. If you don't find that comfortable, they probably aren't for you.

    my nike superfly 5 came in yesterday and I ordered them size 6 and my regular sneaker size is a size 6 as well and I wear them in my house and they still hurt from the mid of my foot and the back is it because the shoe size is small or I need to break them in? btw there is a little bit of space on the toe area so I'm confused?

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's something that you have to more or less judge for yourself. It doesn't sound like they're too small, but you still have to like the way that they fit and feel.

    • @yxng.adrian1663
      @yxng.adrian1663 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    hey Josh I got a blister on a pair of shoes I've had for months now and I've played a full season in them. could it be cause of the weather ? it's been around 100+ lately in California

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      If it's really hot, blisters are much more likely. The conditions are likely to blame in this situation. Sometimes you just get a blister unfortunately.

    Hey Josh,
    I recently bought the nike magista opus 2's (not v2) and the upper feels very stiff. I have played in them a couple times and i feel it giving me blisters on the top of my heel. Will breaking them in more make the upper feel softer? Or is there any methods in making the upper softer

  • @Ralax_
    @Ralax_ 7 ปีที่แล้ว

    4 Weeks ago i bought the Adidas Samba for indoor soccer and everytime i wear them i got a blister (on the inside (just!) of my right foot). Do you think it's because they still have to break in or are they just bad for my feet.
    Very nice topic and i'm thankful for an answer!

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Surely there's a reason why you're getting a blister in that spot. Does anything feel uncomfortable about the fit of the shoe? Are they the right size? This is something that you more or less have to diagnose on your own. Only you know how they feel on your feet.

    • @Ralax_
      @Ralax_ 7 ปีที่แล้ว

      i know so i bought the right size and they actually feel very comfortabe except the little bulge in the exact spot where i get my blister but i think there is no shoe without this bulge so i think it should fit well (espacially because the left foot fits in perfectly).
      Although thank you for your Reply!

    How about differences between breaking-in period in leather football shoes, and synthetic material football shoes?

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  7 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      It depends more on the specific shoe rather than just the type of material. Breaking in a boot, like I talk about in the video, is something that you have to feel out. Everyone is going to feel and experience something different. Just because the process went a certain way for me, that doesn't mean you'll have the same experience.

    Hey I could use some help, I recently bought a pair of tiempos in 10 1/2 but I keep getting a blister when I use them on my heel, I have a pair of Gloro 16.1 in 10 1/2 and they fit very well. Hey josh. I got a pair of Nike mercurial vapor 11s and I think I’ve put a decent amount of time in trying to break them in. At first I know I wore them too much and I got a blister from that, but afterwards I’ve just worn them in regular sessions and they feel fine. I’m not too sure if I still need to break in them if just get a larger/ a different pair because I still feel a few points of discomfort in the front- right big toe and both left and right second biggest toe. Also I’m not sure if I need to go bigger because I feel as if I would slip inside my cleat if i did. I usually wear Nike 13s but got a 12 with this one to try and prevent the slipping and get a better grip with the shoe. Help me out and let me know what I should do. Thanks in advance

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Do they feel too small in length. Seems weird that you would be able to go from a 13 to a 12 unless the boots you were wearing were too big in the first place?

    • @treyremraf4470
      @treyremraf4470 6 ปีที่แล้ว

      Soccer Reviews For You I might be in between. I’ll try to go for a 12 1/2 next time and my feet barely touch the end of the cleats when I stand up in them. Also thinking about going to for a wide clear instead of a narrow one like mercurial

    I have problem with breaking in my Adidas ace 16.1 primeknits and I have been using them for like 10 sessions now. I always have to swap them to my old boots when the half sessions has gone because they hurt my footpad. I do try to dont tie them as hard as usual to prevent my foot getting hurt but then I get the problem when my foot dont feel that attached to boot and more likely jumps around inside it. I have also worn them inside to try to Break in to them by walking around and stuff but it doesnt seem to work. What should i do?

    Hey Josh, so yesterday I first tested out my new vigor 1s, and I personally like tying my shoes really tight. When I did so on the vigors the sock thing folded in on itself, and while I did not really feel it, should I be concerned about the material and if I am tying them too tight, it did not feel like I was.

    hey josh, great vid. Can you do a comparison video of all the low end training balls on the market from main brands? My team train with adidas tango roasario as they seem to be the only balls with decent weight that i've tried. So would be interested to know your thoughts on low end balls as you have probably tried them all. The step up from training ball to match ball seems to be quite large in my opinion - in terms of feel and quality.

      In terms of low-end balls, aside from the Rosario, they're all quite similar, and simply not that great.

      Like I explain in the video, there's no set amount of time required to break in any boot. Everyone will have a different experience. You really have to use your own judgement during this process.

  • @mafei1113

    What if I feel pain at the bottom of my foot? Does that mean the shoes is too tight or soleplate is too stiff? If soleplate is stiff, will it soften over time?

    • @Soccerreviewsforyou
      @Soccerreviewsforyou  7 ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Foot cramping is very common when breaking in new boots. It can caused by multiple different things. Usually it's a just a matter of your feet not being used to the way the shoes fit, in which case it will usually stop after a few wears. If you tie your boots too tight or if the boots are just too tight in general, that van also cause foot cramping. Like I said in the video, it's really a matter of diagnosing what feels good and bad about the shoe on your own, and making adjustments accordingly.

      There really isn't anything specific that I would recommend. The best thing you can do is to find the thinnest insoles you can get at a local shoe store, and cut them to the exact shape of the stock insoles that came with the boots.
