i tried to soften up my old tiempo legend 5s with the hot water trick and the hard bit of plastic underneath the insole started to separate and come off. Wouldn't recommend it.

Yes. I always powder my feet before putting my socks on, helps absorb some of the sweat/smell

Look at boots with plenty of rivets or lots of stitching holding the soleplate together. They're usually on older boots such as Mizuno Morelias/Copas. I've got a really old pair of Umbro Speciali boots with thick, heavy stitching all around the edge of the soleplate & they're like mini tanks & have lasted me years :)

Josh , if I had been wearing my LZ for about 10 times already but it still hurts my toe ( I chose smaller size than my actual size). Should I still wear this boot? Will it expand more to my foot?
Really helpful video, just one quick question. I´ve had my pair of Nike Superflys for about 3-4 years now and since the last few months everytime i play with them, I end up getting blisters and really bad ones. Do you think is just about time i replace them or what should i do?

Hi I Josh, I will be breaking in my new copa mondials. I will be using them mostly on artifical grass. This is my first time owning a copa mondials. I have wide feet, and have some pressure points on the sides. I will try to follow your tips on not using any high intensity activity on them and see how it goes. As a back up a I have my Nike tiempo genio turf boots just incase I get any discomfort.
Ps: the size on copa mondial is 9 US, while the tiempo is 10.5. I know it's crazy. Any more tips on breaking the copa mondial.?

Josh, I recently have been breaking in a pair of Black Pack Tiempos. Everything was amazingly confortable except the heel, I got bad blisters on my heel and putting bandaids on just made them worse. What do you recommend?

Take/send them back to where you bought them and see if you can swap the left shoe for one a half size bigger.

Just buy some blister tape, stick a small amount on as possible to cover the affected area (make sure it is on tight) and then, providing it stays on, your problem will be solved. If it hasn't you are doing something wrong as it worked for me and all my friends and even for my dads running shoes.

Josh, what can I do to my shoes when the upper separates from the soleplate (esp. near the toe)? I've worn 3 pairs of MV8, and they all did this in around 3 months, and then I bought the Hypervenom Phantoms and they did the same thing AND the upper ripped along the side, in just one month. Today I'm going to buy a pair of Tiempo Legend IVs because I have try-outs in around a week and I need boots. I love how those boots feel, but what can i do to stop them from separating? :(

Juggling is a great way to get to break in and get used to new boots.

Arun thekillakangaroo The upper is synthetic, not leather. They're new, so it isn't uncommon to feel slight discomfort t first. The upper creasing is also totally normal.
Superfly's were a fantastic shoe, but yes a stiff long break in period

ive heard stuffing the shoes with wet newspaper over the days stretches it and helps you breaking in. Is that true?
+Elias Vøllestad No. That's help dry your shoes out if they get really wet. The newspaper will absorb some of the water/moisture and allow the shoes to dry a little more quickly. You don;t really want to stretch your shoes while your feet aren't in them.

+ray tanayan If the shoes are too small, then they're too small, end of story. That's why they make different sizes, so you can get the proper fit.

I recently purchased a pair of Mizuno Morelia Neo's. My feet are on slightly wide, and i typically wear 2 socks. Last pair of cleats wear Mercurial Glides. I stuck with the same size 9.5 however i find the Mizunos have too must space in the heel. I can slip them off without even unlacing them, just by stepping on the back of the heel. 2 socks are actually way too tigtht, 1 sock is way too loose... ANY SUGGESTIONS PLEASE!!!??
Mauricio Chapman Sounds like the Mizunos just don't fit you well. If they don't fit properly, there's nothing you can do.

I bought a pair of magista onda online last year, but the upper is quite stiff and it hurts my foot. I'm considering on buying a higher level maybe the magista opus but i'm afraid if it is just the same feeling on foot. What do you recommend? I would go with something nom synthetic. I would go with tiempo for nike. 11pro for adidas. In my opinion joma makes some of the highest quality cleats. They are all calfskin leather, even the $40 ones

The $65 versions are a kangaroo leather synthetic (still better than straight synthetic).

I have wide feet any recommendation as to which shoes I can get I have a gr8 pair of Nike's for Indoor, and a great pair of Adidas for artificial…. But it seems like all the outdoor football shoes/Cleats have a very narrow structure…. nice video!
No budget…. so best of the best!… I'm using adidas f-30 try fg… and they are way to narrow… always have bruises on my feet just from wearing them!

I have a pair of the Evospeeds and it's way too slim but the others seem like good options….. Thanks a lot….. The only annoying thing is i'm a very fast winger who dribbles a lot and uses skill moves and all and I want some shoes that are for fast ballers but I think they're all slim that ones that are made for pace But anyways I really appreciate your help….. I'm currently using Adidas Nitro Charge 3.0 which has been descent…. I think I'm going to have a custom made pair...
