The only place that I have gotten blisters is on my big TOES and it was soooo uncomfortable.
I got insanely bad blisters on my pair of Superfly 5s, been a year and a half now and the skin hasn’t fully recovered yet, SecondSkin works really well
This is not Josh’s first blister video. I followed his advice in his old blister video and broke my Flyknit Ultras in slowly like he said (because they gave me CRAZY blisters) and it worked out perfectly.

Easy. 2 pairs of socks. The inner pair should be a polycotton mix, the outer pair something else that slides easily over the inner sock. The idea is that the inner sock sticks to your foot, while sliding easily within the outer sock. Works for me...

I never had blisters before but my latest new boot Magista Opus gave me a bad one on the heel. It was completely my fault for not properly breaking them in. While I had a blisters, I bought second skin tape from Walmart and wear a Nike Grip socks while also breaking the boots in. After the boot has properly broking in, I still wears blister prevention tape from amazon just to make sure I get no blisters at all.
I literally just watched this video 2 days ago, my new cleats that I’ve been waiting almost a month for came in yesterday. I wore them to a casual match and after about an hour I had to switch pairs, it was too late and I have blisters again

I'm thinking of cutting the top of the heel cos it just digs into the back of my heel area and causing so much discomfort that it's distracting mid game

Great video! Recently discovered this channel and i find it so useful and informative. Can't get enough of it! Keep up the good work! I have seen you wear quite a few boots and you seem to wear some kind of protection around the heel and ankle below the sock. Is it just a support for shin guards?

I just spent money on a fairly pricey cleat and got blisters on the first wear. Was afraid i bought the wrong boots but thank you for assuring me I just need to break them in
I always get them on the top of my big toes. It is sooo annoying; I now have big circle things on my feet, and now I get weird looks whenever I take my shoes off
i have never gotten blisters before. I double sock and i usually play with comfortable boots like pure agility , vapor 10s , vapour 11 , nemesis.. I dont know if I have hard feet.

I did have a 2nd pair with me in my last game, but it was my first time getting a blister and I didn’t realize it until too late. It’s just a small one and I really didn’t expect to have any issues with new Legend 7 Pros, but I should have known better and stopped earlier to change shoes.

So, my question is about dress shoes. I bought a cheap pair and got horrible blisters on the back of my ankle. I bought an expensive pair months later and developed blisters again in the heel. What am I doing wrong?

Hey josh have you ever tried wearing a thin dress sock or compression sock between your skin and soccer sock? I use to wear a liner like this when hiking, and do it with atheltic footwear too. It puts the friction onto the tighter liner sock and not your skin. Its a hiking boot trick. And during the summer on turf a light colored one keeps the heat from the turf not as bad. I would say try it out, and maybe do a follow up video during the summer. Because ive had great success with it, as well as customers coming back saying it has really helped.
I've tried it all. That can help, but you can still get blisters. No matter what you do, you still have to pay attention for the early signs of a blister.

I keep getting blisters on my right foot big toe, and my left foot in the middle, my boots are somewhat new phantom vsn academy... I don’t have my boots super tight I have a thumb width space from the top of my shoes. I Am size 9 USA should I go down a size 8.5 USA ? If I do that my boots feel extremely tight and uncomfortable. Am at an all loss on what boot I should get.
I get them by my achilles tendon in that middle strech part and on the side of my big toes and the bottom too. Mostly cuz turf gets in my cleats but if its real grass they wont be as bad but still be irritating.

Is it possible to somehow shape the boot to the foot because my friend told me that it is possible by rubbing your heel with water and then the inside heel of the boot to shape it to your heel, just wondering if it is possible.
I'm in pre season right now, playing 5 times a week with 2 matches in a week. I have blisters on my heel, ball of my feet and toes. And the bad part is when I warmp u before a game its nothing, then after 5 min in the game i feel the blister already so i cant take them off. Nothing helps and I cant avoid them...

It is kinda funny that you are doing this video with the new Mercurial. I don't have blister for a very long time until I bought the new Mercurial Vapor Pro....hopefully the issue will go away soon

yeah, it does not happen anymore. Was suspecting my shin guard might have something to do with it. The shin guard I used was the old school one with ankle guard, and I found the sock like part was trapped in between my ankle and the tip of the heel of the cleats. After I switch to a different shin guard, it is all fine now.

I got a new pair of vapour 12 elites and I got a blister at the bottom heel of my right foot, is it normal for blisters to develop of high end soccer boots like those? Or did I just get a too small size? I am normally a shoe size uk 9 and I got these boots in a UK 9 as well, i played in it already so unfortunately cannot return it...
You can get blisters from any boots, high-end or not.

Josh, can you make a video on ways to avoid cramps? specifically in the calfs and quads. I always make it to the 75th-90th minute of a game and then cramp up in my calfs or quads BAD, it's excruciating pain. I'm very fit and healthy and eat very well. I've tried sports supplement drinks pre game and at half time, pickles, bananas, magnesium drinks, extra salt in my diet and increasing water intake, you name it, I've bloody tried it. Still, I'm plagued with cramps!
Everything you just said is pretty much what anyone would recommend. If it's that much of an issue, maybe go see a doctor. Perhaps they'll provide some advice that might help.
I've got the same issue man, the fix is stretching. Stretch way more before a game, and buy a cheap muscle roller from a department store (Kmart in Australia). Roll out your calves the morning before your match and play hard with no cramps!
or just get better material and more comfortable boots, i currently use Puma Future, they are insanely soft and comfortable, since i switched to those i havent gotten a blister at all

no matter what you do or what you use if you have a wrong boot and your heel is moving up and down alot especialy in long distance runs you will have a blister at some point

Wear nylons under your socks. This is a trick that I learned in the Army. The first week of training everybody suffered from blisters after A 10 mile hike. The drill sergeants told us to wear ladies nylons under our socks. It worked!
What stud to use when playing on a sandy uneven grass plain? I know it's not ideal for football, but that's the only field we got in the area
Maybe a turf shoe. That's something that you'd have to judge for yourself.

same here with my low cut nike magista obra, you should consider wearing a good sock with grips on it, def gonna reduce those under your foot, reply this comment for more advice with those blisters under the feet

what would you say is the best rebounder and goal for the money
I have not tried any products in that category in years, so I honestly don't have an opinion on that. Personal opinion here, they're nice training aids to have, but you totally don't need them. You'd be just as well off, if not better, going to the park with a friend or two and training over using a rebounder.

What I do is take a few plaster strips an a roll of strong sports tape and tape the heel off.
I get blisters from getting new predators with a big sock and at the back of the boot ut is really hard

I tried an easy way to avoid blisters 100%. Just put on a band aid on the back of the heel. The stronger the band aid the better result you get

I examined it and found out that theres a point of right where the collar starts like under the collar theres a spot where theres no coshouning which gave me blisters.
