Exterior Design: Powerful Elegance & Poised Dynamics.
A wheelbase 42 mm longer than its predecessor's (now 2,975 millimeters), a 36 mm increase in vehicle length
(to 4,922 millimeters), an extra 66 mm of width (now 2,004 millimeters) and a 19 mm increase in height (to
1,745 millimeters) give the new BMW X5 both an imposing appearance and generous amounts of space for
passengers and their luggage. The latest X5 retains the hallmark proportions of an SAV, but the pared-back
design language - clean surfacing and precise lines accentuating the car's robustness, elegant poise and
muscular authority - is new. A powerfully sculpted hood, a short front overhang, lightly hexagonal wheel arches
and the dynamic sweep of the roofline provide further references to the sporty yet rugged character of the new
X5.
The most striking feature of the front end is the large BMW kidney grille with single-piece surround. The new
BMW X5 comes standard with Adaptive LED headlights, while BMW Laserlight is also available. Blue x-shaped
elements, which split up the hexagonal light sources inside the familiar BMW twin headlights, make a distinctive
visual statement.
Interior: Luxurious Innovations. Other new features designed to maximize the feel-good factor and luxurious ambience on board the BMW X5 include the four-zone air conditioning system and the panoramic glass roof, whose clear surface is 30 per cent larger than on the outgoing car. The Panorama glass roof Sky Lounge, meanwhile, generates a very special and exclusive aura when darkness falls, with LED light spreading evenly across the glass surface to illuminate more than 15,000 graphic patterns and generate a display reminiscent of a starlit sky. The colour scheme of this atmospheric light show can be adapted as desired. The standard ambient lighting includes the Welcome Light Carpet - which illuminates the entry area to the car when the doors are unlocked or opened - and Dynamic Interior Light, which emits pulsating light signals in pre-defined situations: they are activated in the lining of a door or doors opened while the engine is running and in the instrument panel when a phone call is incoming.The Ambient Air Package enables air ionization and infuses the interior with eight individually selectable scents. And a luxurious audio experience is laid on by the Bowers & Wilkins Diamond Surround Sound System with 20 speakers and 1,500-watt output (SOP 12/2018). The optional Rear-seat entertainment Professional system (SOP 12/2018) comprises a pair of 10.2-inch full- HD touchscreen displays, a Blu-ray-compatible DVD player, two USB ports, an HDMI socket and two headphone jacks. The system is part of the new display and control concept and allows those in the rear of the vehicle to select and operate entertainment functions. im not mad @ the grill considering the current trends of lexus and audi ... its big but its not overdone ... im mad that the back portion of the moonroof doesnt tilt anymore though ... whats up with that ... if anything they should have figured out a way to make it cooler not less cool lmao LIKE having the fully automatic tailgate that was a cool add ... even though its just another point of failure that could cost you alot of $$$$ i ended up replacing mine auto tailgate for manual one with dampers ... $20/per dampers vs $500/per auto that i replaced 2 times within a year smh
You push the BMW LOGO 3 times and on the 3 push you hold and it does the remote start!

what are you talking about what kinda speaker enhances the engine sound? by the way, I own X5 2019 it's quiet and you shouldn't hear the engine noise inside the cabin all you can hear the wind noise through driver/passenger windows because in Canada we don't have acoustic glass options (only windshield comes with acoustic glass by default)

Correction: there is no sound enhaincing on 40i engine, fuel tank size is about 83 ltrs and the engine got two turbos.....P.S.: love the car, just tested......mind the fuel consumption....it might come as a surprize..
BMW says twin power turbo on this engine. Not twin turbo.
